it’s great to have another deli in no beach besides molinari’s — especially one open on sundays. great service, huge sandwich, reasonably priced and well made. not very many deli items — but that’s what i go to molinari’s for, cheese, meats, olives, and deli items — not the sandwiches. this is my new panelli bros.

Came here on a monday afternoon which was yesterday… In the past… I have been to Molinari’s to many times just to order a sandwich!!! It was time for a change… So I went to try GEPPETTO’S sandwich… The sandwich that, I ordered for the first time at GEPPETTO was a Black Forest Ham, Roast Beef, Mortadella with Swiss Cheese and some pickles on a Sourdough Bread and it was huge!!! Just check out the picture and you’ ll know what… I am talking about!!!

Great food, awesome and knowledgable staff, this is probably at the top of my North Beach eatery list. All of the food here is tip top quality. I suggest the Monstro, a newer creation, made with everything spicy on the menu. It is a massive, deliciously complex sandwich.

BF suggested Italian Sub. We walked from Russian Hill to NB only to find out that Molinari was closed on Sundays. So we scoped out the menu here for a sandwich. A guy was also checking out the menu and told us that this was a great spot for sandwiches and that we should try it. So we did. One Italian Sub later we were full beyond belief. The sandwich was HUGE. Packed full of meats, cheese and oil and vinegar. Wow. BF and shared it and each portion was so big. I barely finished mine. The guys in the shop are super nice and knowledgeable. Offered free samplings of their deli items. Highly recommend.

Finally a deli in North Beach/Chinatown that matches the flavor and quality of the old Pinnelli Brothers deli. Worked in a deli for almost five years so I am a bit of a stickler when it comes to buying Italian Deli sandwiches. Took the 10 minute trek from Fisherman’s wharf. Upon arriving was greeted by a young woman who was very pleasant and helpful, terrific customer service all in all. She offered suggestions and made recommendations and I went with a Soprasseta Salami and swiss on a sourdough roll. To my surprise, the meat was being cut to order, thin as requested. Even gave me a sample to make sure it was right. Sliced the tomato and cheese as well and added onion, peppers, mayo and mustard. She stacked the items the way I like without me asking, tomatoes away from the bread so it does not soak and sog the bread on the trek back to the office. Need a little more visual presentation and selection on the sides and salads, would have bought something but the selection was a bit limited maybe the good stuff was bought up by the lunch rush. May I suggest sardines in olive oil. The sandwich bread was how it should be, fresh that it has a nice crunch and flakiness yet still soft. The meat and cheese cut thin really had terrific flavor and bite just the right amount of saltiness. Meat and cheese was neatly spread out and layered rather than just piled on top of each other in one thick mass. Had subtle dripping of olive oil and vinegar giving the sandwich a lovely oily tartness. Definitely my go to deli now, well worth the walk.

Came by with hubby and shared an Italian Hoagie($ 7.75) and grabbed a can of the San Pellegrino in blood orange($ 2?). We sat outside and enjoyed the sandwich, which was good albeit a bit different since they does it east coast style with olive oil and vinegar instead of mayo and mustard. The blood orange San Pellegrino was sweeter than expected and a bit flat. Will definitely return and look forward to trying other sandwiches.

2 friendly guys Fresh cut meat Tables to sit at outside Mamma Mia — pizza sandwich — a must-eat because it is so unique, saucy, juicy, and delicious Pinocchio — a hefty meaty sandwich with a good balance of veggies and meat, standard with nothing too unique tasting Maria Special — good saucy sandwich Gepetto — crap. minus 1 star. bread that will slice your gums, dry sandwich with minimal sauces, veggies, or meat.
