Smoothie selection great. Hope they adopt some of the recipes from the union street Equinox café. Would love to see acai berry bowls and other healthy options!

DONOTRECOMMEND. WORSTEXPERIENCE. I don’t think I’ve had as unfair treatment by any kinda of customer service. Didn’t want this on Unilocal but NO, here I am. First of all I had a decent experience with their food and It really isn’t bad at all, it’s everything that came after that triggers me with this post. I ordered a Steak Salad, while I’m eating in my office I found a half dead bug in my salad struggling that finally died in the salad. I took a picture before posting on Unilocal I tweeted to Fuel Café. Which I consider as a nice gesture, it’s just a bug and it happens once in a while for any restaurant. However, what Fuel did next really just make me never wanted to be back to this place ever again. Instead of responding to my Tweet, they BLOCKED me on their Twitter account! WAYTOGO! GOODTHINGYOUCAN’T BLOCKMEON Unilocal! If this is the kind of service industry you’re looking for, go ahead, but personally I don’t think I’ll ever come back again. Too bad cause how close you are to my office I thought we could’ve became lunch buddies.

Salmon burrito was too sweet for my liking :(maybe it was the dressing they used. It was a good burrito but totally not worth the $ 13 splurge.

How in the world can they not have a vegan protein option? The worker also did not know what they even had. Ridiculous

I ordered the«ultimate green smoothie” — I very closely watched the employee blend spinach, ice, and a splash of almond milk. They made 3 or 4, and charged everyone 7.50 or what not for each– Their menu says«kale, spinach, and Swiss chard. Also contains green vibrance geens powder with milk thistle, enzymes, probiotics, spirulina… more great things than i can list, and not in tiny quantities!» I stayed and asked if they’d included some of the other ingredients, I got a nod. Then they offered to add«more» if i wanted. NOPE. Total rip-off. I also called to speak to manager and they never called me back.

Nice place to grab a quick, healthy bite for lunch or after the gym. Super annoying that they often close an hour or more before their posted hours, especially on weekends. Sometimes a crap shoot as to whether they’ll be open.

Dude hidden gem! No line in the financial district at 12pm!!! UNHEARDOF. It’s so weird that it’s inside a gym hahahah but whatever I ate my burrito outside of Specialty’s a block away., although there is a little bit of seating inside they were pretty much all taken when I got there. You can totally sit on the steps outside though. I ordered the vegetarian burrito, forgot to ask them to leave out the cheese but that’s my fault cause I don’t mess with cheese anymore. ITWASREALLYHUGEANDDELICIOUS(twss). It had brown rice, black beans, tomatoes, avocado, cheese, probably other stuff and was wrapped in a giant green tortilla. SOYUMMY. It was $ 9, kind of expensive but really good. The cashier said there was going to be a spicy sauce inside but I didn’t taste any)’: maybe they forgot… or I’ve become immune after the mass amounts of Sriracha I consume… it’s possible. If you want some quick healthy food and don’t wanna mess with the lines everywhere downtown I recommend stopping by this place.

This is one of my favorite places to go when I’m downtown. Very healthy choices and never really a line. That’s mainly because people are probably scared to walk in to Equinox, but the staff at Equinox totally understand and are very helpful in directing you to the café. I’ve seen others comment on the price, but my rebuttal is that you’re in SF(what do you expect) and the portions are large. Often times the $ 12 burrito is my lunch and afternoon snack, and anyone who knows me knows I like to eat(so that means it’s a large portion, even for a guy like me)! Unfortunately, as of today, 2÷16÷14, the café is still closed. I asked the Equinox staff when it would open again and they had no clue. You definitely should try this little FiDi gem when it reopens!

This café is the smartest thing a gym could have! It definitely has the right fuel for a post workout meal! The menu doesn’t offer an enormous variety of things, but in my opinion, it doesn’t need to. It has the right products and everything from the juice and smoothies to their foods are made well. I ordered the Salmon Burrito and the juice of the day which came out to be around $ 18 and I am definitely satisfied with my purchase. Good work, Equinox! I will definitely be back! Don’t forget about the 3-check ins for10% off Unilocal deal goin on!

The tuna melt panini was good but toast was soggy from the tomatoes. Next time I will try the salmon or chicken burrito. Tip: no restroom available unless you are a fitness club member! I love that the food is healthy.

The menu isn’t too extensive, but from my experience, you really only need to know about one thing anyway: the salmon burrito! On a recent weekend visit to the DTSF area for pleasure(not business), I was so overwhelmed by tasting an abundance of fantastically rich food that I literally had to Unilocal search«healthy» to find something half way good for me to equalize my body a little bit. The salmon burrito(with black beans, rice, spinach, tomato, & avocado) fit the bill nicely. And although the salmon burrito was pretty amazing, I should note that their other offerings sound like they too are high in protein, low in carbs, and also appear to be quite fresh! Fortunately, you don’t need an Equinox membership to access Fuel Café. It’s definitely a quick, healthy, and overall excellent lunch option!

Wat. Dah. Fuh. A $ 12 burrito?! I came here solely because I’ve been on a PayPal app checklist of food credit offers. There was $ 5 credit at Fuel Café inside of Equinox so I decided to stop by. The burrito side of the menu was the only part that had no price listed and, well, if you have to ask… It wasn’t until later that day when I checked my CC charges and saw $ 7 on there that I wondered if I just forgot to save my PayPal credit. So I check my activity and uh nope, the darn thing really was $ 7 on top of the $ 5 credit! Holy moly, man! Must be ballin’ to get a salmon burrito with brown rice, spinach and a mysterious-lookin green wrap from here. I can justify 7 bucks for it, but definitely not at the full $ 12. Thanks PayPal but no thanks Fuel Café!

The gym feels pretentious but my boss happens to really like the super healthy food they offer at the fuel café. His favorite are the turkey meatballs and the stuffed eggs.

Stopped by Fuel Café to grab a smoothie before heading on my day at work. Wow, I’m surprised such a delicious smoothie could be so healthy for you! They definitely cater to the people in the fitness center right next to them! Even if I wasn’t coming here to the Equinox to work-out, I would gladly stop by Fuel Café for some delicious eats!

I’m convinced that Fuel Café is the most well-hidden spot for clean yet tasty meals in the FiDi. Nestled inside Equinox gym, it’s no surprise that most FiDi dwellers are unaware of its existence. I rarely encounter a line, and when I do — it moves very quickly. I usually spring for a fresh salad topped with either chicken or their grilled steak, but they also offer a salmon option that my fatty fish-loving friends swear by and I’ve also enjoyed their healthy take on the classic burrito. Lunch will set you back approximately $ 9-$ 13, but if you check in using the Unilocal app, you’ll save a sweet 10%! Bonus points for inspiring me to visit my own gym every time I come in.

I have a new found appreciation for Fuel Café. I came in here looking for a healthy salad option and was impressed with their new menu additions. I had a kale and quinoa salad with steamed vegetables — topped with salmon. In addition I had a vanilla joy almond milk and a power ball. Though the kale wasn’t massaged and was tough to eat — the quinoa and salmon topped with the delicious dressing — was wonderful. The bottled almond milk was sweetened with dates and natural vanilla, and the power ball was full of energizing goodness. The staff here are so kind and willing to accommodate requests. This place isn’t fancy and isn’t necessarily the best lunch around — but it is healthy and each dish is prepared with time and care. Trust.

Located within the Equinox gym, this place makes delicious but healthy(clean ingredients) dishes. This is not really a sit-down place, just a fast place to pick up food. I came here originally because I wanted healthy options but would feel comfortable bringing anyone who wasn’t a health nut(food tastes good). Overall, portions are large and food is delicious, filling and healthy. No complaints! I customized an egg white scramble with spinach, chicken, tomatoes and avocado. To my surprise this scramble was very fresh-tasting and delicious. I also felt great and full after eating it. For lunch, I ordered the salmon burrito with quinoa and it was packed with spinach! The burrito was very, very large so I ended up removing the tortilla skin and just eating the filling which was more than enough. This also kept me very full and satisfied throughout the day. Since my last visit, I’ve become a member of the Equinox gym and have eaten here many times. My go-to is the Lemon Salmon Salad which has spinach, tomatoes, olives with grilled salmon on top. It comes with a tasty balsamic vinaigrette dressing that gives it the right amount of flavor and saltiness. I normally don’t like olives but in this salad, they complement the salad very well. One word of caution, this place isn’t for the one who wants greasy, oily food as they offer clean food. It’s perfect for nourishing the body post workout.

Hidden in the Equinox gym, Fuel Café is a great place to go for healthy and filling food. The prices are definitely high, so I’m lucky that my boyfriend has been able to expense me on his corporate card lately! Their smoothies are amazing. The ultimate green is extremely refreshing, but it doesn’t feel like you’re drinking a tall cup of vegetables. As a health nut, I surprisingly haven’t tried kale and spinach in smoothies before but I’m in love! Their chocolate peanut butter bomb is also a perfect milkshake alternative for the health conscious. You get your protein from your peanut butter, which adds all the indulgence you need! I also appreciated that it wasn’t too sweet at all. Their soba noodles with salmon include large chunks of fresh grilled salmon with a light dressing over chewy soba noodles. It’s perfect for a light lunch! I have also had the salmon burrito with a whole wheat tortilla, and it’s honestly one of the best burritos I’ve ever had. The brown rice is cooked so it’s a chewy texture, and the salmon is also grilled but still moist. The black beans, pico de gallo, and cilantro add great flavor. The entire thing is giant, and one of the best parts is how they grill the entire burrito once it’s done. I love those grill marks, and it adds a really nice crunch that you don’t normally get in burritos. Hands down my favorite burrito! Since it’s so close to my office, I would definitely eat here a lot more if the prices weren’t so high, but everything is fresh and enjoyable nonetheless!

I was hoping the set-up here would be similar to Blu at the Sportsclub LA next to the Four Seasons, i.e., the café would be completely separate from the gym. That’s why when I entered the Equinox in what was the Pacific Stock Exchange building not that long ago. I was confused because I didn’t see a sign for a café, just what I thought was a waiting lounge area. Much to my chagrin, it turned out that this was the café and that the order counter was past the clothing racks. Oh. As I was perusing the chalkboard menu on the side, I was recalling Jessica T.‘s recommendation of the Salmon Burrito. Sounds good to me. I’ll have what she’s having. As it turned out, the only seat available was at the counter right in front of the weight lifting area where you get to stare at all the hard bodies and hard body-wannabes spraying their sweat toward the precariously mounted guard screen in front of the counter. When I got my burrito, I was struck by how heavy it was in the flimsy white paper bag. When I opened the foil, I immediately knew this was something I wouldn’t be able to finish just from its sheer size. The grilled salmon was a tad dry but at least it was politically correct — «sustainably raised, safe-harbor certified». No undesirable salmon was harmed in the making of this burrito. How comforting to know as I chew on it. But there was a whole lotta stuff in there with the politically correct fish –brown rice, black beans, avocado, pico de gallo, spinach leaves, pepper jack cheese and cilantro. In sum, it was frankly too overwhelming for me, and those geometrically perfect grill marks on the spinach tortilla were a bit strange(see photo). Gorging on this monstrosity as I watched people exercising — the irony just didn’t help my digestion at all. I ended up eating half of it and giving the rest to a homeless person who just happened to be sitting on the steps outside. I probably should have gone for one of their Half-Wraps, but who knew that was even an option? Oh well, back to my own gym for me. FOOD — 3 stars… overwhelming burrito was enough for a small village AMBIANCE — 2.5 stars… a lot of grunting and seating and it wasn’t even me SERVICE — 2 stars… the servers ignored me for quite a while before I could order TOTAL — 3 stars… ideal for gym bunnies
