My work ordered sandwiches from Focaccia. We got the vegetarian, turkey, and pastrami. We spent the first 10 minutes of the meeting noting that the sandwiches were flavorless and amazingly mediocre — they were not good and not bad. Right in the middle. I’d recommend bringing some hot sauce or pepper if you know you are going to be eating these. That’s exactly what they need to give them some pizzaz.

It was probably a confluence of events but Focaccia Market & Bakery played a big role in really turning me on to salads years ago. That low fat raspberry dressing is like crack and I love it! Sweet and savory, pair it with some spinach and arugula plus fixings of fancy for the day and it’s a yummy salad for lunch. What I love about this location however is the grill next door. Had a grilled basa over fresh salad and it was delicious. Nice char on the fish but still moist and flavorful. Also in the cooked foods section there’s the always reliable roast chicken and sides plus daily specials. Favorites over time include the tri-tip and fried fish. Love the side dished too. I can honestly make a meal out of some mac and cheese, grilled vegetables, and spinach. Lines are insane during lunch and they snake around the store but I think it’s worth it. This isn’t the closest Focaccia to me anymore but this is probably my favorite location despite the longer wait. Regardless of location though, the raspberry dressing keeps me coming back for more.

Really want to love this place but the the salad expediters are so consistently rude I had to speak up. Today the attendant accidentally dropped the smoked salmon I ordered into a container of cheese and then proceeded to put the cheese-covered fish into my salad bowl. When I asked if she could get a new helping of salmon, she scowled and dramatically threw away the tainted section of meat and did not replace it. This is utterly unacceptable. I urge Focaccia’s managers to instill a higher standard of customer service(not to mention tidiness, sanitation and respect for potential food allergies) in those interfacing directly with the public. In the meantime, I will not be be returning.

You guys are amazing! Around midnight last night, I ordered online for my team of 15 people for an 8:40 take-out breakfast. I came in at around 8:30, and the woman behind the counter was kind and sweet, checking up on my order. The order came with an itemized receipt of each item. When I got back, I noticed one of our 15 orders was wrong, and had to go back to get it fixed. The staff couldn’t have been more courteous about it, which made me not mind the mishap at all. People make mistakes, especially that early in the morning! The quality was top notch as always, and it was probably the best place my team has ordered from in the financial district. One improvement point: since you ask for names online, could you please write them on the sandwiches? It would make distribution for corporate orders a lot easier when people get back to the office. Thanks again!

Haven’t tried their salads, but their veggie sandwiches are pretty good! As a vegetarian there aren’t too many options, but I recommend getting ciabatta bread, portobello mushrooms, roasted red peppers, pesto and roasted red pepper spread for my sandwich. They charge extra for toasting the bread, but I think it makes a difference!

I’ve been coming here for lunch about 2 – 3 times a week for a couple of months now and was very disappointed the last few times. It seems like their management style or process has changed. I ordered my usual large salad and with every ingredient that I ordered, the person making my sandwich would essentially count how many she was giving me. She gave me exactly 4 cherry tomatoes after counting. I requested a few more and she looked at me saying I’ll be paying for double tomatoes. I couldn’t believe it! The same happened with my other ingredients. Not only did it take twice as long to make my salad but the quality was incredibly worse. I guess I’ll have to tell my coworkers and I to go somewhere else for lunch now.

I’m a regular here love their food in general. They have the best fish and chips, but only on Fridays I guess.

My go-to lunch spot for salad. Good variety of ingredients, fresh, decent price, and the line moves pretty quickly. 4 stars because it’s still a bit expensive for what you get + it’s not tasty for me enough to eat every day of the week.

Stopped in for a quick lunch today and was very happy with my pre-packaged wrap. Although there were a ton of people in line, the grab-and-go options were fantastic and allowed me to bypass the custom made lunch items. I had my wrap, cookie, and beverage selected and paid for in a matter of minutes. On to the taste test. The«Italian» wrap I chose received a much appreciated boost from roasted red peppers and pepperocinis. The veggies were crisp, and even though there was tomato, nothing was soggy. Props. Flavor was fine. It wasn’t mind blowing, but for a quick lunch, I felt that it was perfectly fine. The only let down was the peanut butter cookie. Meh. Still, in the end, I’m rounding up to 4 stars and will keep this on my radar for when I’m in need of a quick lunch.

I am here every day… this is the only place in the financial district where you can get a salad for under $ 10! And they are amazing!

I order lunch quite frequently from here and quality and service has always been great. And one day, we had 25 starving lawyers to feed last minute and the manager(I can’t remember her name unfortunately) was so helpful. She took our order with no problem and it was ready within 25 minutes. We were very impressed with how kind and understanding she was about this last minute order especially since it was 12 pm– lunch hour peak time! The quality and customer service at Focaccia is 5 stars!

I really like their roasted vegetable on focaccia with balsamic vinegarette sauce… But I guess it’s only offered on catering menu, and not on the regular menu… Sad:(

I really cannot say enough about this place. The menu is fresh and changes all the time. The layout is open and contemporary and the whole place is run with great efficiency. This place is misleading because if you look in anywhere around noon you will see the line snaking around the place and is very daunting. However, the key is to go to the back of the building where they serve their meals. The extremely long line is actually just for the salad and greens. In the back is where I order. The spicey chicken wrap, which is amazing. This is my go to during the work week. Its huge, it tastes great, and its just under ten dollars. I highly recommend ordering this and checking out some of their other things. I usually stick with the spicey chicken wrap though. The people who patron this establishment are of the healthy professional variety. Another bonus about this place is that there are lots of really hot babes who come here daily, its really the place to grab something to eat if you want to see some good looking people. I have eaten here a few time for a late breakfast and ordered the breakfast burrito. It was decent but not to die for. Also, there was virtually no line in the morning either. Furthermore, if you’re in an extreme hurry there is a decent selection of premade sandwiches that are always made fresh. It’s hard to give anything five stars but this place is definately deserving. The ambiance of the place is refreshing and clean. The staff is good natured and the food is top-notched along with the way the place is managed its very effiicent. 5 stars! I’m going to miss this place when my work moves to the Southern Financial District. I also know that they are opening or may have just opened a location I think at 7th and Howard Street. So if you are in the Mid-Market are check it out! I wonder how it will differ from this location. Ill have to make a point to check it out as well. Get the spicey chicken wrap you cannot lose!

Great convenient location for those that work in the area. They have everything from sandwhiches, salads, breakfast, juices, yogurt, bread. The food is decent– nothing spectacular but you can get what you need here if you opt to grab a quick bite. If you are ordering hot food, they charge for toppings and it can add up.

Best salad you’ll get around the Financial district! More than a dozens of toppings to choose from and always fresh! The amount the give for the price is so amazing as well. If you just order the small salad that comes with the three toppings, it’ll only equal to around $ 5! What makes it pricey is getting meat, it’s an extra $ 3! The lines may look long when you enter but they go by very quickly cause there are so many workers taking orders. It seems pretty hectic at times because people are standing around everywhere, the cash register is on the other side of the store, and the workers do not give much direction to new customers, they simply just hand the salad box and assume you know where to go. Nonetheless, best salad you’ll find around this area :)

Quick review of the Focaccia Salad Bar: I must say my salad was truly fantastic. Ingredients here are really fresh, reasonably priced, and everything tasted great. Really wasn’t expecting anything special when I walked in, so seeing such a quality product makes me even happier. The deal isn’t bad either: Three«toppings» are included in the price, and although initially skeptical about it, I found that ordering just a small salad actually ends up being quite enough food — even for a guy. One thing to be aware of though: adding meat or avocado(two of my favorites) is extra, and not included on the list of complimentary toppings. But still, a small salad with meat comes out not costing you an arm and a leg regardless. The line can become problematic at times, so NOT recommended if you are in a rush, as the salad line moves somewhat slower than your typical lunch assembly line station. The sandwich/hot food lines in the rear are slightly faster, but then again, they are also usually shorter. For those in a rush, Focaccia does offer a few grab and go pre-made sandwiches/salads in a display case in the middle of the store. As such an easy stop to make for lunch, it’s a no-brainer that I’ll be coming again.

Always got them long lines here. Food is fresh here. They keep their fridges stocked with salads, yogurts, parfaits, and drinks. Very clean. All I gotta say is. Free bread. Free butter. Get it before you leave.

My go-to salad place for lunch. I have tried their salad bar and sandwich bar, and I seriously love everything here. I usually get their small salads for $ 5.75 which comes with 3 toppings. It is so worth it because the small is definitely big enough to fill me up. If the salad doesn’t fill you up, they offer free slice of their delicious focaccia bread(comes in white or wheat)!! I seriously am addicted to this place. Warning: The salad line gets INSANELY long during lunch hours. It moves fairly quick fortunately.

A newly added place to my regular work lunch rotation! REVIEWISFORSALADSONLY. The base small salad is starts at $ 5.75 which includes 3 toppings(a variety of veggies and cheese). It’s a decent size and keeps me full enough. If you add meat or fish, it’s an extra $ 3 – 4. If you get a large, it’s $ 7.75. Fresh, fast, cheap and does the job. Don’t be scared if there’s a line — it moves pretty fast and at least gives you more time to decide :) I’m still trying to figure out what my favorite combination is. I always get the lime vinaigrette though! I like how you can customize it to your liking but wish they had more ingredients or at least put a full list on the board since I see some stuff in front that is not included on the list(such as sunflower seeds, cranberries, quinoa!) Although it’s customizable, be wary that they are heavy on the dressing. If you want LIGHT or MEDIUM dressing be ready to specify VERY clearly. Also, be sure to emphasize what you want loudly. Everytime I say ‘peas,’ the lady thinks I’m saying beets. I need to say ‘green peas.’ Last time I asked for brocolli and peas and she gave me walnuts and beets. Derrpp. It’s ok, still love ‘em. Although Mixt Greens is, in my opinion, still a bit tastier and has a wider array of ingredients, you can’t beat out the price here. Grab bread and butta on your way out! Their wheat bread is yummyyyyyy.

Solid lunch spot to satisfy all my hot lunch plate desires. Focaccia is pretty meh when it comes to its sandwiches and salads. But what converts me into a loyal repeat customer are the hot entrees — they have delicious rotisserie chicken, chicken picata, sides of rice, mashed potatoes and mac & cheese. Clearly these aren’t the healthiest entrees to feed your bellies, but my oh my are they good. The only downside is the food coma you’re left with post the ravenous lunch. But wait, it gets even better — you can grab a free slice of focaccia bread(you have a choice of wheat or white but seriously, if you’re going all out, might as well do it right and get the white) on your way out. This small touch gets me every time as the bread is seriously addicting, exactly what one would expect from a place named Focaccia. The next time you’re craving a nice hot meal during lunch in FiDi, give Focaccia a try and I guarantee you won’t regret it. Happy Eating, Unilocalers!
