Better than expected food with a gourmet touch. Fantastic drink list. Funky fun décor and a friendly bartender who served us. Love this place.

Really enjoyed stumbling upon this place. Lost wandering San Francisco. They have these wonderful little pizza’s. I tried the ‘Book it Dano’ which has black forest ham, pineapples, and chile pepper. It was perfectly balanced in taste. Washed it down with the house sangria. Perfecto! I’ll be back.

I came here with a huge group. We had good beer, good food, and tons of laughs. The place is very chill, it’s nice for hanging out on a late evening. I am giving it 4 stars because it took forever to get our food and drinks, the reason I am being so lenient is because I did notice there was only one waitress. I would recommend the manager to have one more staff member on site. And if there was another staff member on site, then to make sure their staff is working. Our waitress was very kind and tried her best to please the big party. The food was great too. I would visit again and see if it is better staffed.

Great local spot for dinner. When we sat down the place was practically empty(close to when they opened), and by the time we were done it was packed. We got the baked Brie as an app, which was good(not awesome). Then I got the margarita pizza and my bf got the one with ham and pineapple. They were very good. Crust was thin, toppings were fresh and they were the perfect portion size for dinner.

When I walked into this bar last night, I didn’t expect much. It’s a really cute, chic bar that’s very dimly lit. The drink options are fantastic. They have at least 30 – 40 beers listed and some really different mix drinks. I had a hendrinks mixed drink that was out of this world. My boyfriend had a few different beers which he really enjoyed. We started off with the nachos — they’re huge! I then got the goat cheese and chicken quesadilla which was amazing. The crust on the quesadilla is so flakey and fresh. My boyfriend got a chicken, tomato, pesto sandwich that he devoured lol. Definitely recommend this place for a night out.

This place is super yummy. It’s my second time here and I always enjoy what I order. First time came here with the boyfriend for a date and we split a pizza and salad. The vibe is great and they don’t rush you at all. This time came with my girlfriends for happy hour. Their sangria is delicious and their appetizers are bomb. Only downfall they don’t have dessert!!! Which after a day my girlfriends and I had we need dessert. All in all, great place and would definitely come back.

Okay, I am changing my opinion of Fly bar based on some great visits over the past few months. The first time I came here I had terrible service and it really put a bad taste in my mouth(or no taste — because I couldn’t even get another drink). But! I am a block away from Fly so I have given it a few more shots and now I do like this spot. First, Happy Hour here is great. Daily from open until 6PM, $ 4 beers, $ 2 off house cocktails and specials on the house made pizzas. Saturday and Sunday from open until 6 they offer $ 5 bloody mary and Mimosas. and damn, those bloody marys are good. I seriously have caught myself craving them on a Sunday morning. The bartenders on the weekend day shift are usually super friendly and it is never too crowded to get some great service. I haven’t eat anything here recently, but my boyfriend has tried some nachos, sandwiches and a few other apps, really enjoying most of it. The crowd is in the mid 20s to early 30s, usually pretty relaxed. A good place to come watch some games as there are plenty of TVs and either bar or table seating.

Such a great local spot. The nachos here are great and the bartenders are fantastic. Good place to go for happy hour. If you go earlier in the afternoon/evening it’s a bit quieter and I enjoy having a drink while I finish up some work. They also have charging stations behind the bar for your phone or laptop.

Some of the best house designed cocktails I have ever had. The food is also very good as I have had the goat cheese quesadilla, chicken skewers and their fruit salad. The one thing that keeps this bar from taking the next step is the service. The staff are incredibly friendly when and if you have the opportunity to get their attention. It took almost 30 minutes to place my order the first night I was there after receiving a menu. You can’t fault the staff as the two people working the front were doing the best they could but it was disappointing to wait long stretches of time for another drink or food.

This is a great bar with great ambiance. It’s never too crowded, never too loud, and the beer selection is great. You can almost always find a seat, they have sports playing if there is a game on, and everyone is really friendly. It’s a great getaway from the madness that is Polk street, just one block away. I also enjoy their salads or pizza if I’m looking for a bite to eat. Thumbs up!

We love Fly Bar! The bartender, Vanessa, is amazing. We’re late night eaters because of work and she always makes us feel comfortable ordering food, even when they’re getting close to closing the kitchen. Nachos, Burger, Foghorn Leghorn, Pizzas, Salads… All solid options.

It is refreshing when you look at the previous reviews and they hold true… at least for me on my recent visit. I am not a big drinker but was looking forward to a good beer and the Einstök Icelandic Toasted Porter hit the spot. Followed with the Shroom Pizza and the side salad(that was large and delicious). Great food and great service by Allison, she was mentioned a couple of times in reviews and was on point. If I am ever in the neighborhood I will be back… may even make a special trip.

A solid local bar; I feel Fly Bar is pretty consistent(been to the Sutter and Divisadero St. locations). A good happy hour with both alcohol and food on special prices, including tasty flatbreads. I like the Sutter one even more because of center bar set-up and the shuffleboard table; sure, the table is smaller than your regular sized shuffle board, but it’s fun nonetheless.

Expected ambiance for this class of restaurant: lots of matte finish wood, sketches of Bill Murray on the wall, lots of glittery liquor bottles in the bar, etc. nice place. It was a 30s-40s crowd, and a couple or three solo older guys there to watch the Redskins game at the bar. One guy posted up with his laptop and scattered pages of newspaper looked like he had made the bar his home office for the day. I got a Mediterranean Salad and it was huge! And very tasty. It was basically a Greek salad with some bonus nicely spiced potato cubes with tarragon or something like that. It must have been the only time in the last year that an entrée salad actually filled me up. I got a couple of whiskey-sodas too and they were good.

I came here for HH, but they didn’t have hennessy so automatic thumbs down. Jk. But their HH was just okay for me. We got 2 pizzas for HH price — the shroom pie and Thai chicken salad pizza. I was not really a fan of neither one, but if I have to pick then shroom pie was better only because I like mushrooms, pesto, and bread. However, for a shroom pie, there weren’t that many mushrooms on it. I felt like I was just eating a pesto pizza and there wasn’t anything too special about it. On the other hand, drinks were good and cheap during HH!

I’m obsessed with fly bar! Pizzas and buffalo chicken wings were dank. 100 no joke. I love how it’s a mix between casual sit down restaurant and also hang-out at the bar. As others have mentioned, awesome price + delicious food + drink options. Our server rocked. He was really attentive and friendly. 5+ stars!

Four score. And seven years ago: For a return: Foghorn Leghorn sandwich with roasted chicken, tomato pesto and guacamole on brioche. Bacon and cheese come standard too. Didn’t miss them. It was that good. Pairing guacamole and chicken is a brilliant move. Putting them together on a sandwich is even better. Loved side of greens comes standard. Fries are an alternative. $ 10 is worth it. Grabbed a table by the window which was a good move for people watching. Overall the vibe is casual and relaxed. Server doubles as bartender. That’s quite a talent. Four stars.

We had a severe case of the afternoon munchies and needed something to hold us over until dinner later in the evening. We also were in search of a glass of «cheer,» in the form of a margarita. In comes Fly Bar… The restaurant has a nice neighborhood feel to it. We felt like it would be a place that we could picture ourselves coming to after work if we lived in the area. We arrived between 3−4pm and were able to find two seats at the bar. They have an attractive menu, but their nachos offering immediately drew us in. The nachos were fair; not a huge portion, but large enough to take the edge off of the growl of our nagging stomachs. We did note that the chips tasted as if they came out of a Mission store-bought bag. Not awful by any means, but noteworthy. We also ordered a regular margarita and their featured campari margarita. Honestly, I didn’t care for either of them. I’m just too spoiled on San Diego’s margaritas. Bartender was very friendly and confident. Again, really liked the vibe. Would definitely return again.

Fly Bar rocks my socks. It’s reasonably priced, happy hour till 6:30, not one but TWO awesome locations, great food, and strong sangria. What’s not to like? I have a personal affinity for the Divisadero location, but the Sutter spot is more convenient to my office, so I’ve been dropping in lately with my girlies. Me and my pals Tati Z and Ashley M stopped in for dranks and eats and had a grand old time. We killed two pitchers of sangria(strong, cold, cheap) and then nommed on a giant Cobb Salad. I will surely be back, as I cannot say no to a good time with good company that is not harsh on my wallet.

This was a great place to grab dinner and drinks. If you are staying at Hotel Carlton be sure to have at least one meal here; you won’t regret it. There are many great pizza options on the menu, and we could not decide between the Greek and the meat lover. We let our bartender pick for us and we were not disappointed with the meat lovers! The bartender herself was not amused with our happy personalities. Drinks were ok. Husband had a Moscow Mule and I tried the Buzz Kill off their menu. They were good, not the reason why I would return to this joint. The pizza and atmosphere(besides the cranky bartender) are a different story.
