Fillmore Billiards is probably the best Pool Hall I’ve been to in the city where there wasn’t an odor of cigarette smoke and beer permeating the atmosphere. This pool hall is upstairs from the club that is downstairs. Reminded me of a VIP pool place for rich people or straight out of a movie with a godfather hanging out somewhere in a hidden room in the back.
Unlike other pool halls, this one sports Korean pool tables where elderly Koreans rock the Korean Four Ball (SaGu) game.
Fillmore Billiards is operated and owned by a Korean mom and pop family. So be nice. ;)
PROS:
–SUPER CLEAN
–Pool table and equipment are well maintained
–Friendly Service
–Point Scoring system machines for pool are available
CONS:
–A bit stuffy after an hour of playing
–No Juke Box
SERVICE:
We didn’t have any dilemmas with the staff and the Korean ajuma who was there was pretty chill. Given that it was practically empty on a late night weekday evening, probably less stress. She kept herself occupied by watching Korean dramas. I shoulda sat next to her and watched whatever she was watching too! Aigoo…
