Felix at Galletti Brothers

I am too busy to take my shoes in for repair, so it was great to have this service. Felix was on time and called before arriving for the pick up and drop off. I had six pairs of shoes reheeled, and one pair of Cydwoq hand made flats soled with a thin sheet rubber to help them last. The work done on all my shoes was excellent. I considered the price reasonable for the work and delivery, especially considering the time it saved me.

I called Felix today to schedule a shoe pickup. He told me to text him with the address, and we agreed that he would pick up my shoes before 4pm. I texted him the address when I got off the phone, but he never picked up my shoes or got in touch to tell me he wouldn’t be able to make it. I guess I’ll have to take my business somewhere else.

About a year ago I was reading Daily Candy about an awesome cobbler named Felix that would pick up your shoes, fix them, and deliver them back to you in 2 days. There was a phone number but no address. I searched Unilocal and came across Galetti Brothers and went to them with a pair to be fixed — they did a good job but it’s impossible to park on Battery St, so I inquired about their delivery service. They had no idea what I was talking about. So, I used some other places closer to my apartment, but it always takes me forever to get around to dropping off shoes in need and picking them up. I sought out this old Daily Candy email, gave Felix a ring and my life of shoe repair was simplified. He’s a little more expensive then bringing your shoes to a shop, but the convenience outweighs this for me. He does a great job and you can tell he really cares about your shoes.
