This is the third time that I have visited this gallery and as usual, I was not disappointed. The collection is unique and well curated. I can always find a special gift for a friend, my mom — and a little something for me :) I took my mom in on Sunday and they treated her so well. Love to shop here!

This store had the worst customer service ever. I was in there with my 7 year old son and mom shopping for Christmas. On the way out I was showing my son his glass ornament his grandma had just purchased for him. I accidentally dropped the bag of two ornaments they had very poorly wrapped in thin bubble wrap. One of the ornaments broke. I told the clerk of the accident. I hadn’t even asked for a replacement and he looked at me with contempt and simply said«well you dropped it!» No, «I’m so sorry we can’t replace that because our store policy is…» No niceties or warmness at all. We left immediately leaving the broken ornament on the counter. My son was pretty upset. Merry Christmas to you too. Way to ruin our lovely day out with your distasteful customer service. This is the anti-holiday spirit store. PS…I just read other reviews of this place and coincidentally two other reviewers used the word«contempt» to describe how they felt they were treated by staff at this store. Apparently a common sentiment.

I came to this place few years ago and fell in love with it! I have a very specific & unique taste and I find everything that I love here with affordable price and excellent service! Most items they sell are unique and one of kind and out of ordinary!!! They make an effort to get to know you & tailor to your needs with no pressure trying to make you buy something. Love love them! My apartment is filled with their treasures

the pieces are tastefully chosen. The prices are beyond incredible. I am quite pleased with this gallery and, even though I live in Southern Cali, will be doing most of my holiday shopping here…

Fun jewelry alert! Walking around Hayes Valley on a gorgeous sunny afternoon & the sparklie beads & baubles in the windows of F Dorian were calling my name There are local & non-local artists showcased & I got the coolest pair of blown glass earrings from a local artist & another pair of huge, yet super-light earrings from an Israeli artist… I’m an 80s kid & gotta have the ginormous earrings. What can I say? They had all kinds of picture frames, knickknacks, & decorations all over the place — I saw an adorable sequined & glittered bird in its nest, a ceramic paperweight in the shape of a heart w/the word«No» printed inside & beaded frames galore You’ll find fun, whimsical, adorable & super-cool…it’s all in here & we can’t wait to go back! Red & purple flamed earrings & bracelet… I’m talking to you!

I’ve only been to this store around Christmas time, when they have the best selection of ornaments around. From the usual trains and baubles to traditional german pickle ornaments(In fact, when my fiancée asked me the name of the store the other day, the only name that came to mind was F. Pickle!), the selection runs the gamut . Since we went to the store a bit earlier this year(on small business saturday) we had room to actually browse around — and I found several interesting things– including some wallets and cufflinks made with parts of real MLB baseballs and bottle openers made from broken bats. I’ll probably come back in the ‘off season’ to get some presents for people.

This store is amazing. I purchased several beautiful items for my home. The staff is super friendly and more than helpful and take a genuine interest and give great feedback. I love this store and will be back for myself and to purchase gifts. Almost everything in the store is beautiful and interesting. 5 Stars!

Perhaps a nice store… As long as you don’t have a child with you. The carnival window display drew our 18-mo.-old and us in. But, while we were carefully looking at Christmas ornaments that were at eye-level of our son, the store clerk/owner appeared, asked if he could help us, and suggested, with contempt, that a broken string on one of the ornaments was the doings of our son. A bit later, after the clerk had walked away, I quietly and casually said to our son, «Why don’t we go out for a walk?» The clerk somehow overheard us and snidely commented, «Now, that’s a good idea.» If this store is going to be so unwelcoming of children, I suggest they not have a child-inviting window display and ornaments at a toddler’s eye level, among other things.

There is no better place in the Bay Area to buy a unique and different Christmas ornament. Every year for the past few we’ve found something special to add to our collection in this store. This year it was a little ceramic penguin bell and a polar bear on a flexible flyer, plus a very cool bird-fairy character for our friend Amanda. We’ve found other great things here during Christmas seasons past, and this year we were sorely tempted by some German World’s Fair Ride music boxes.

Loved the etched glass decorative plates — they were so amazing — I couldn’t believe someone did that with glass. They carry all kinds of unique items from local artists: home décor, jewelry, etc in a bright welcoming space. It’s the perfect kind of a place to get a gift or splurge on something for yourself.

Have you found yourself in a Mother’s Day gifting quandary? Don’t settle for simply a phone call! Get thee to F. Dorian, a special place that magically dissolves all your gifting woes. It was 5:00 pm, and I had T-minus 1 hour to find that perfect Mother’s Day present. I ran out of my apartment like a bat out of hell down to Hayes Valley, hoping to find that special something to bring home that wouldn’t require the demolition of my piggy bank. Thank Goodness F. Dorian delivered, and I was able to find not one, but two unique gifts. The two gentlemen that helped me were really sweet, and were even offering up free champagne to customers who all seemed to be having a great experience; whether they had partaken in these libations or not. When all was said ad done, Mom loved her presents, and I love that I’ll have Mother’s Day covered for years to come as long as they stay in business. Long live F. Dorian!

Interesting, different, reasonably priced jewellery. Lovely objects, nice glass, great place for gifts, lots to see. Its got a lot of intersting and unusual stuff I haven’t seen anywhere else. I’ve been there twice and there’s a attitude from the staff — I ignore it but its tought to feel contempt when you’respending your money in their store. I’d go back and tough it out though.

A shared space showcasing handmade bead necklaces and other fine crafts, punctuated by whimsical mobiles floating overhead. A place to find that perfect small gift, or a one-of-a-kind accessory for your home. Along with celebrating art, F. Dorian follows in the Hayes Valley tradition… welcoming any visitor.

Specializing in ethnic art and antiquities, this store would be fantastic if only it were merchandised a little better. The range of glass and statuary is still very good, despite the lack of staging.
