Pros: Great dance floor’s’ Great music Roomy Cons: Bouncers are too picky about the shoes. Cash Only in the club and for drinks(stupid)

I came here for my roommate’s industry event and it just wasn’t that much fun. It’s located in a sketchy dark area, and the building itself is made of two rooms — a smallish room stuffed full of seats, and a larger empty basement-type room presumably for dancing. No one was dancing though, and the music was set more to «chill.» I’m assuming this night was a let down because it was an event night(with lots of awkwardly business types), but I would have expected the venue to be more exciting.

Why do I keep coming back? Gotta be the music. Had a great time dancing to Paul Van Dyk last Friday, but… A star off for the main room design. it is hard to believe how badly this was designed. To start you have to pass in front of the DL or stage to get from the bar to the restroom.(Women beware – I’ve never seen a show where the line was not out the door.) Based on experiments, there is no place on the dance floor where you can dance without some passing on the way somewhere – constant bumping, drink spilling, etc. [Contrast to the Mighty, where it can be packed and yet everyone has their own space.] A half star off for the Go-Go dancers. A half of the dancing women and a quarter of the men on the floor are better– plus they distract from the DJ. Friday was better because they put them in the center on both sides. Two points: why no men? Why discourage dancers from the audience to try to show off for the crowd? A half point off for the bar selection. No wine and the best beer is Anchor – No Cab, No Guinness. No points either way for the crowd. It varies tremendously based on the show. Any where from nitwits trying to get sloopy drunk as fast as they can to hardcore tribal and rasta. Grin and take your chances. Warning: I did get slugged once when after I pushed back after a line of men banged into me.

I’m new to Unilocal so I’m not sure if I can give zero stars, so I’ll just give 1. This place is terrible. I had such a bad experience here last night that it motivated me to finally get a Unilocal account just so I could slam it. I don’t know about how this place usually is, but for the Too $hort show last night it was extraordinarily bad. At the door where we were searched twice(not a big deal), we were informed that one of the persons in our party could not enter because he was wearing a white t-shirt(under a sweater). When I asked about the white t-shirt rule I was told by the bouncer that he didn’t like white t-shirts, which of course should have sufficed. Annoyed, I asked the bouncer how we were supposed to get in, not really expecting an answer and not getting one as he continued to let in people who looked like they’d just got done selling bad shrooms on haight street who were smart enough not wear offensive white t-shirts. Luckily for us, there was one nice guy(presumably) working there who got us in touch with someone selling Too $hort t-shirts I was able to buy for my friend for $ 10. Now that were past the security gauntlet, we got a life lesson from a wise young sage working the will call who informed us that in the future it’s best to stay calm in these situations. Instead of telling him about how much I like getting talked down to and how I’ve dealt with lots of prick bouncers all over the world and have learned that important life lesson already, I just told him that I wasn’t being rude, to which he replied–«Yes, you were.» Unfortunately he didn’t have much to day when I asked him if not saying anything at all(which is pretty close to what I did) would have gotten us inside faster. The real kicker is that we had paid extra to be «VIP» which just entails being farther away from the stage apparently. I was looking forward to this concert since I heard about it 2 – 3 weeks ago, and had a great time seeing the rap legend, but because of the tacky décor, cash-only bar, and unbelievably rude staff I wouldn’t come back here if they booked Tupac.

My favorite club/dance venue. Roomy, great sound, great musicians. They hold a lot of Burning Man style events — multi-sensory extravaganzas! A little annoying that they only accept cash at the bar — and one time their ATM was down… but I still recommend it. Tip: check ahead for who is playing — if you’re not into the Burning Man crowd, you could be the only collared shirt Douchebag amongst dread-locked hippies in tibetan weaved pants… and girls in knee high fur boots and flashing lights. I for one, love that crowd. )’(

I work here, so I am biased of course, but our space is perfect for product launches, company parties, fundraisers and all sorts of other private events. We launched as an event space back in May after extensive remodeling of the interior. Just three blocks away from Moscone Center and with capacity for up to 2000 people in five separate rooms(holding 100 to 800 people each), it is an ideal location for your next function. Check out the website for photos and details. *****update to review***** I now longer work at Ten15 and I have heard people are having a hard time getting a hold of anyone. I am not sure what is going on, but I would recommend writing to if you are trying to book something at Ten15. Cheers!
