Did a pickup order and got a steak sandwich. It was delicious and meaty. Did a delivery order. The order took awhile and one of the drinks spilled. I got a egg, cheese and sausage sandwich and it was perfect. I also got a coffee but they didn’t give me any milk or sugar, even though I specifically asked for it. Would definitely go back– really good food.

Honestly I would come here a lot but always ended up revising my order or just dealing with it. What I mean by that is no matter how many times I ordered such a simple sandwich-the person making it would add ingredients I did not ask for or not give me the ingredients asked for. However, when they do get my order right. my sandwich is bomb. But after today I probably will not go back again. I order the same thing every time: turkey sandwich w/lettuce tomato pickles mayo and provolone cheese. I get a chicken sandwich with no cheese. just tired of having to keep repeating what I want when I order and still cannot get my order right!

It’s funny that I end up in Tenderloin and enjoy more of food or drink. My buddy and I left SoMa skate park, ran into some buddies from Central Valley, and when we were exploring, we came across this place. He ordered one of the largest chocolate eclairs that I’ve ever seen, along with a frappucino, and I ordered a hot mocha coffee with half a combo pizza. Outside, there is a sign that says«Halal» and I always wonder how any of these places make pepperoni able to be called Halal. We sat and after a little while, they called to tell us that our drinks were ready, one at a time. We went to retrieve them. The mocha was the best I’ve had anywhere in San Fran. Someone brought the half-pizza to the table. It was yellow-ish and a bit dark on one side. At $ 5.50, it wasn’t a bad price, even though it was more a snack than a meal. Sadly, it was more something to eat than something I’d want to eat again. I hope their other recipes taste better. Since the coffee is so good, I’d like to return.

Emo’s Café was handy for a coffee pick me up. saw just a few pastries. didn’t notice sammie offerings, wasn’t looking anyways. semi-large space. lots of seating. brew: America’s Best(house blend) 1.75(s) –above average. not the usual harsh coffee most cafes use. drips: –today is last day. will close for remodeling and menu retooling. –cashier/owner? very friendly informative when i inquired about the coffee.

I did not receive what I originally purchased but thought that I would give the new thing a try anyways(falafels and hummus salad). Definitely not my choice of a salad. There was only about a handful of thinly sliced lettuce on my plate, a little bit of tomatoes and pickles, a bowl of hummus, and 4 falafels. Service was mediocre. In addition to the food tasting terrible, the restaurant looks like the heath inspectors completely overlooked it. The floors were dirty and filthy but I guess you can’t expect much in the Tenderloin. Oh, one more thing. They tried to charge me $.10 for a straw. What the FUCK? Nobody should be putting their lips on ANY cup in the Tenderloin! You should give me a damn straw for FREE!

I started coming here about a year ago and have been coming ever since. The Tuna Sandwiches are to die for, just absolutely scrumptious! Also, the employees are pretty chill and provide superior customer service.

Pretty clean joint. Waited an average amount of time for my half pizza. Clean bathroom. Friendly staff.

Stopped by this place on my way to the pride parade on Sunday 6⁄28. I don’t know if it was because I was just really hungry or because it was just that good, but seriously the sandwich was amazing! I had the Dutch crunch bread with ham and omg! It was delicious I finished the entire thing. This will definitely be my go to place for a sandwich whenever I’m in San Francisco.

Disgusting. I ate here before and it was great but this morning it was horrible. I hate to send food back.

I have my favorite pastry snacks I grab on the way to work and just tasted the pizza, really good. Next stop, sandwiches. Friendly staff.

People are great, prices are right. Where it loses two stars are the taste of the coffee(not good) and the general griminess. Floors are pretty dirty, the tables need to get wiped down– things like that. $ 3 minimum credit card charge is good.

Delicious sandwiches. Breakfast sandwiches are overpriced. For $ 5 you get one slice of ham or bacon, egg and cheese. If you want to sub a croissant, it’s an extra dollar. Seems like $ 5 should cover the cost of that. With a medium cup of coffee it’s over $ 8. Not affordable on a daily basis.

Great sandwiches! The Emo’s veggie(or VG as they call it) is unusual and delicious, with eggplant spread, avocado, cheese, lettuce and tomato on an always-fresh ciabatta roll. I like this sandwich so much that I haven’t tried the other options. I do usually get it without the paper-thin slices of lemon. Emo’s staff is really sweet. This corner can still be tough at times, so it’s wonderful to find a place here with tasty food and reasonable prices that is making a go of it.

Great food and service. My usual is the falafel sandwich, mocha, and a carat/orange juice. Never fails, always satisfies.

My friend Matthias and I were so hungry, yet we wanted some healthy food. We went to Emo’s. We asked for two chicken sandwiches. And bam, we’ve had a life long memory here. I enjoyed every bite, cause I wanted it to last :). Try this out, order a sandwich and enjoy every moment. Local shops always win, we’ve met the amazing owner Eman, she was so generous and hospitable. I hope Emo’s become our local caterer for our New Country film. Everyone is entitled to good healthy local food. Thank you guys, keep up the amazing work. PS: beautiful music was in the background, native American then some classic, I Adagio on C-minor.

Not sure how this place got to 5 stars. Coffee is okay and staff is friendly. They are just understaffed or take their time. Instead of ordering a full breakfast we stuck with pastries, since getting an orange juice already took 10 minutes.

I love Emo’s Café & Deli. Their sandwiches, coffee’s and pastries are delicious. My favorite is tuna salad sandwich. Delicious! I also like their chai tea latte and coffee ~ robust and flavorful, great quality.
