Went there for the Groupon buffet. We were pleasantly surprised how good it was considering the other reviews. The food was served hot and was very tasty. They offered chicken tikka Marsala(tender and nice sauce) chicken tandoori(delicious and moist) lamb vindaloo(spicy and tender), veggie curry(not super exciting) and Dahl. The Nan came out hot. Service was very good. For $ 7 it was very good. The $ 4 draft beer was good too. Heck, you can’t get a burrito in this town for $ 7 bucks so people need to stop complaining. The reason I can’t give it more stars is that the food is not going to rock your world but it was definitely good enough.

A friend and I recently spotted this place through Groupon and i was amazed at how negative some reviews were. It made me almost not want to try it. My experience however was spectacular. For 7 bucks each, you and a friend’s can eat Indian curries til you’re full! What?! Anyone complaining about that needs to understand that the price is 7 bucks… for a buffet! Cmon now, that’s a damn steal. I definitely wouldn’t say it’s the best Indian spot, but for the price, it’s certainly worth it. I’m appalled that people have the nerve to complain about the food and options when those same people only paid 7 bucks a piece. Cmon now, did you think you were going to be treated like royalty? Geez! «Don’t talk about it, drop bands on it» next time, opt for the $ 20 buffet if you’re going to be a sour puss

Sorry Boyzz, but your Curry needs a lot of work. We used the Groupon deal. The buffet choices were minimal and not fresh. Had to be the worst chicken tikka masala I have ever had. Chicken dry, the sauce needed more spice & salt. There was a vegetable curry that may have been the highlight save for the limp green beans. Beef curry was awful, the meat was tough & tasteless, and the curry spice mix was just off and also needed salt. Never going back, not ever.

Got a Groupon for Curry Boyzz and since it’s a deal, it was a chance to try this place when I don’t think I’ll choose right off the bat when it comes down to Indian food. The buffet was very limited. Salad, Rice, samosas, chicken tikka masala, lamb vindaloo, tandoori chicken, two vegetarian dish with daal and tofu, and dessert. That is all the choices if you’re doing buffet. They also give you naan as well. It was surprisingly pretty tasty and I was satisfy with the flavors. However, I’d probably just get one entrée rather than opting in for the buffet in future visits. Parking is tough at night as well since it’s in the lively Castro district.

Came here after coming across a deal on groupon for their buffet. Looks are totally deceiving! My wife who is a vegetarian did not have anything other than rice and samosa that she could eat from the buffet. So she had to order from the regular menu. Normally Indian restaurants we have visited have sauces and condiments. We were charged for chutney, the yogurt, and mint(looked like guacamole!) don’t get me wrong decent price for the buffet but charging us for everything the condiments? The nanny was great! On the fluffy side, but really good!

It’s an ok place — price was good because of Groupon — but not much variety.

Ordered delivery for desserts. Half hour late and portions were so tiny. Not one was worth the price and it was a poor experience overall.

This is our favorite place to eat. My husband and I come here about 2 – 3 times a month if they are open. We fell in love with this special fun restaurant. The delicious curries here are seasoned to perfection. Their tikka Marsala was so creamy and so flavorful, goes perfect with any of their many yummy naan breads. I love the Okra chicken the spices they use with the sautéed onions perfectly compliment each-other. The samosas are very tasty and come with most delicious dipping sauces. They serve very generous portions, we always leave feeling full and satisfied. This place is great for casual lunch and dinner. You defiantly get your money’s worth here. They are a little informal, not always open, it should not stop you from trying it out.

The buffet was tasty. Service was slow. It is a great place if you are not in a rush, but want to enjoy great tasting food. The buffet price in San Francisco is very rare! Will be back again for sure! Very tasty samosas, tikka masala, beef tandoori, and the naan was some of the best I’ve had in the city.

I had taken the Groupon Buffet for two. The food was cold, completely opposite to the description. One tomato soup tasted like warm clamato, not much options in vegetarian food. The tea was stale, dark and cold. Having an ardent taste for Indian food, I couldn’t find a single item to appreciate with cold chicken tikka and saltless curries. This would not be my last option on earth even if it was to be existed.

I purchased Group on Coupon for this restaurant and went there first time. Cons– Food: Not as much Indian, Cold severed, only one option for Vegetarian(as I am) . NODESERT, though it was in coupon. Naan was semi cooked. Service– Slow. Asked me MOREMONEY under service tax. Items Promised on GroupOn vs Served in real: Promised– Appetizers, soup, salad and rice. Chicken, beef and vegetarian entrees, naan and desert. Served– cold soup, naan, chicken, lamb curry and veg curry, dal and rice.

To be honest I’d give Curry Boyzz 5 stars because the buffet was tasty and offered a nice range of options(though I personally would like to see a more exciting veg. option than a dahl) for an incredible price. But to be fair to other Unilocalies, service was scant(i.e. slow beverage service) so I put my own bargain-hunters interests aside and reluctantly deducted 1 star. Chicken Tikka Masala was delightful, great Lamb Vindaloo, fluffly rice and naan. Chef’s Special was an underwhelming cauldron of simple vegetable stew(possibly frozen veggies?) ~ careful Curry Boyzz … a title like Chef’s ‘Special’ raises expectations! Great deal via Groupon and we will return for the regular $ 11.99 Buffet, which is a cool and unusual find for dinner. Please don’t miss the entertaining reviews below that drew us to this restaurant!

Hey, came for a buffet last night from Groupon. 2 people buffet with fresh curry and toasty Nan for $ 11. What else can you ask for. Great taste, great value.

Groupon buffet dinner for two was great. The food was good. The buffet section was good. I ordered a mango lassie and it took the guy forever to come back. He finally came back and the drink was kinda watery. Naan came out burnt and crispy. Girlfriend ordered a lemonade and it took the guy a while. He finally came back with it without ice so she asked for a cup of ice and it took about 5 minutes. I mean its just a few frozen cubes of water it shouldn’t take that long. Overall– 3 stars

Ordered from the Eat24 app and was somewhat skeptical since they have no minimum and reviews are mixed. That being said, it was pretty solid Indian food, especially for the price. The garlic naan was hot and delicious. The Baigan Bhartha was spicy and while not the best Ive had, a pretty good representation. I have had far worse at nicer and much more expensive places. The Paneer Tikka Masala was excellent. Just enough spice and enough creaminess. The delivery was super fast. I cannot attest to the location since never been but if looking for some food I highly recommend. I love that there is no minimum order for delivery so I dont have to order $ 60 worth of food to satisfy a craving.

Weird… the other reviewers loved it or hated it. I think maybe they have multiple chefs and it depends on the night you do. Which isn’t good. I’m more with the lovers than the haters. Wasn’t the best Indian food I’ve had, but it was solidly«good». Plating wasn’t ideal, presentation wasn’t perfect, but it was tasty and it was inexpensive… so really no complaints. Perhaps I need to try it again for test-retest reliability. Or maybe not, since now I’m nervous about it…
