1. Savory goat cheese: I think my problem with soggy savory crepes is solved! This was a gluten free buckwheat crêpe served galette style with the edges folded in so it stayed crispy with just the right amount of goat cheese, slightly sweet caramelized onion, herb etc in the center. I’m not even a believer of the gluten free hype but taste and texture wise this was on point. 2. Sweet Chestnut: Sweet crepes are of the soft fluffy variety with house made chestnut butter(?) that I thought was delicious with the right amount of sweetness. The crêpe was also cooked just right, not over and dry or soggy. I will be back to try the house made«new’tella»(like Nutella but scratch made) and other savory ones. Not a fan of paying for the mass produced kiddy spread that is mostly bad chocolate and little real nut but will gladly pay for Crêpe La Vie’s house made made version.

The food is really good here especially the sweet crapes. If I could I would eat here every day.

Small ethnic food court — Russian, Burmese and the Brittany crepes we are speaking about. Crepes are open face, wrap is thin and authentic, filling is good — they are very accommodating, willing to make any crêpe in vegetarian version. I had the ratatouille but I saw the raclette being made and gave me the incentive to return and try it out… Service is very good and the whole food court set up is such that you can have a meal made of different ethnic dishes — there are a few tables only servicing the whole area but when I went it wasn’t very busy(early Saturday afternoon) Prices are reasonable — considering this is SF…

Loved the crêpe!!! Usually the best part of a crêpe is the filling, but here the crêpe is just awesome! You MUST try these crepes of you are in the area. Not a lot of space to sit, but you can always take it to go.

Addicting! Get the ratatouille crêpe it’s sooo good. Will make a special trip to Haight just to eat here again. Quaint matrketplace with 6 different food kiosks. Great alternative to a big sit down restaurant or take out.

We were looking for some real French crepes and no doubt we found the perfect place. Our two crepes(«goat cheese» and«new tella») were delicious. We will come back very often.

Full of life. 1. The delicious food: Out of homemade cured salmon(available stock wasn’t up to par) went with the Goat Cheese with tomatoes, bell peppers and caramelized onions. All sounded good. Except not really a fan of goat cheese. But a big fan of chicken. Swap was made at no charge. This was a good move all around. Thank you. Left room for a crêpe with homemade nutella. Tough deciding between that and homemade salted caramel. Samples given. Decisions were made. But not regretted. Not as much nutella as expected which was a good thing. Just the right amount of smooth decadent without being overwhelming. No regret here either. $ 16 for the pair plus tip. 2. The friendly staff: Both sweet and eager to answer all my questions. As well as support the aforementioned cheese for chicken move. Love the story: 3. The spot on translation: Full of stars.

Finally found a real ‘crêpe’ in San Francisco!!! Good mix of cheese, egg and ham. Simple but authentic, try one!

Great but not oh my god great. Had the wild salmon one, and was just like«okay it’s good» but they should have put more salmon. And to me it wasn’t salty or tasty enough. But worth the try cuz the place is nice, with sitting outside.

Had the Savory Chicken w/Brie & Mushrooms! What’s not to like with Brie? So filling and delicious! 1st time having a crêpe made with Buckwheat. Got a quick history from the girl on the counter. Will try the Salmon Lox next time!

Ordered a savory and a sweet crêpe. Was sumptuously filling and satisfying, not to mention I was hungry too.

Walking around the Haight looking for something quick before we headed out of town — happened upon a sign for gluten-free crepes… GAMEOVERBOYS. We ordered Raclette Cheese and Goat Cheese savory crepes. The crêpe itself was crisp and hot and the fillings were great — a step up from what’s offered at most Parisian street stands. The woman who made the crepes was also very pleasant. When we were done she came over and offered us a sweet crêpe as well, I think because she was a bit late getting set up(which we didn’t mind at all). We didn’t take her up on her offer(those crepes were pretty large) but it was very sweet of her to ask! Overall worth a stop if you’re in the area and want something quick and casual.

Ordered for delivery and when they say it will take 65 – 75 minutes they’re not kidding. I got the smoked salmon crêpe and the N’tella crêpe with bananas. Love French buckwheat crepes. Both were really good, and surprisingly filling for such thin crepes, but cold by the time they got here. Probably much better to eat there.

What can I say? Yum! And filling! They have a good selection of crepes for you to choose from, both savory and sweet. But it’s not the biggest. If there’s something you don’t like in the one you want, just tell them and they’ll fix it up for you! After you order the creeds are made right in front of you! The traditional French way. With buckwheat flour. Tasting it? Yumm. Very good. The only thing was the buckwheat kinda hurt my mouth. I’m not sure why. Cuz that’s never happened before but perhaps it was just me. The place is totally cool, it’s in a large room in its own little«stall» of sorts. There are other places in the room that serve ice cream, juice, Russian bread, and rice plates. There’s something for everyone! What’s great about this little area is that they have water for you sitting out, and everything they serve you with is compostable! How sustainable! It looks like this area has shows from time to time seeing as there was a larger room in back with a stage an also a little bar! That would be fun!

I like the savoury crêpe better — I think it’s only because it’s crispier. Actually the sweet crêpe is crispy and nice but not as much after adding all those yummy sauce so maybe next time I’ll try the plain sweet one. I had the Raspberry Coulis(raspberry sauce with grand Marnier and sweet almond) it’s just the right amount of sweetness for me. I read from other reviews that the Newtella ones are rest too but I usually find those too sweet so I’m happy with my choice. Oh and I wish I have a friend to share the sweet crêpe with. The crepes are deceptively more filling than they look. Prices are alright not the cheapest but quite satisfactory considering the quality. They also have a $ 15 combo savoury and sweet crêpe + soda deal which is a pretty good deal but the choices given are limited(choices of 2 savoury and 2 sweet crepes only). Actually I have a suggestion — how about a more flexible combo option: say if someone buys both a sweet and savoury crêpe he/she gets a free drink? Finally, this is slightly out of point but I really quite like the entire Second Act Market Place. There are a couple of other cute food/ice cream/juice stalls there too and I would like to check them out another time. It isn’t too crowded when I went at 1:30 pm on a weekday but the place closes at 6 pm anyway. The location is kinda nice too it’s right on the east side of Golden Gate Park and also on the colorful Haight Street.

Such deliciousness! Really high-quality crêpe. I’ve been turned off by mushy, tasteless crepes and generally stay away from them. But Crêpe La Vie has restored my hope in these delectable French pancakes! Crispy edges, chewy pancake, and perfectly balanced flavors in the filling — I’ll be back for more. These guys optimize flavor in every bite. I tried Crêpe La Vie for the first time at a special event(adorable evening of a French movie and crepes). My friend and I shared the ham and egg crêpe. The egg was perfectly cooked with the yolk just runny enough to dip pieces of the pancake in. We moved onto the salty caramel + butter crêpe for dinner. FAMAZING! The entire meal was filling, flavorful, and not too heavy. Just the perfect amount.

Housemade Ham, Nutella, and Buckwheat Oh My! This feeling. The extraordinary attention to proper shape and presentation. The just right thickness and crispy edges. The orgasmically fresh ingredients. That certain je né sais quoi usually present in well prepared French cuisine… I never thought I’d experience this outside of my favorite crêperies in Paris. To add to insult, all San Francisco fresh, housemade ingredients? Emilie, my new favorite crêpier…you’ve made my Parisian dreams easier to deal with! Unilocalers, bon appétit.

Very good service and cute location(part of a little market with several dining options) but was unimpressed by the crepes. I had the chicken and mushroom(savory) and butter and sugar(sweet) so could have been the ones I chose but they were just ok. Not bad but just ok. Pretty reasonable($ 15 for the two crepes and a small sparkling cider) but based on taste can’t give this more than three stars.

Hands down the best crepes in town — and I’m French so I like to think I know what I’m talking about :) I leave and work in NOPA so I am always looking for nice and healthy lunch places in my area. A friend told me about their opening and I think I’ve been going 2 times a week since then! At this point I have tried most of the items on their menu and I have loved everything. They serve some french classics like the ham/cheese and egg or more original crepes like the goat cheese or the salmon. Ingredients are fresh, organic, usually home made and combine just beautifully together. Emilie, the owner/crêpe master is also super nice and friendly. You can tell she loves what she does and has put a lot in those crepes. They are the perfect healthy fast food I have been dreaming of for my lunch breaks in the area and I am calling this place my new lunch HQs!
