Creativity Paints @ Stretch the Imagination

Last night I attended my first class of an 8 week art course with Melissa D’Antoni. The class focuses on awakening and connecting to your intuition with painting or drawing or sketching or whatever.
There are almost no rules. She asks that we are relatively quiet to create a virtually meditative environment in the room. You are given a canvas, paints, brushes (or charcoal or whatever) and encouraged to simply express yourself.
It’s a safe environment, no feedback of any kind on our work (even positive because you might become attached to it). It takes a pretty special balance of an understanding of the human condition (she has a degree in Psychology) and a passion for art (believe me she has it) to do the class. She does it extraordinarily well.
