I just happened to be in Fisherman’s Wharf this afternoon and parked at Anchorage Square. I noticed this Cold Stone Creamery on the way back to the garage and thought I’d give it a try. As soon as you walk in you’re met with an overwhelming smell of sugar. That alone almost turned me around but the line was short, so I thought — why not? I ordered a small cup of chocolate. A free«add in» was offered for this size. I asked for Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. They chopped up the peanut butter cups and mixed everything together with two metal looking spatulas. After re– mounding the ice cream, they plunked it into a small cup. This cost just under $ 5.00. All in all, it was pretty good ice cream. It’s kind of like«soft serve ice cream» in texture. The people in front of me were obviously hard core fans of this business. They rattled off combinations I never would have thought of putting together…

Staff were treating customers poorly, talking shit behind customers backs in spanish, worker was on there phone while customers were in store. Marshmallows were stale. Never coming back again.

Ice cream was good, however, I ordered the oreo overload in a gotten have it size, which comes with DOUBLE the oreos. I only got two. I asked the lady if that’s how many it’s supposed to come with and she said two. I then asked how many she’d put in a mudpie mojo or whatever one also has oreos. She also said two. I then told her there’s supposed to be double the oreos and she said every store is different. She was rude about it Well then, if every store is different, PUTUP A DAMNSIGNSAYINGSTORESVARY. I even checked on Coldstone’s own corporate page and they answered the question on their Facebook page and I was right!!! I paid 6 bucks for this crap. Also, she’s lucky I couldn’t make out the shit she was talking about me in Spanish(yes I speak Spanish, yes I’m Hispanic, before you jump to «racist» conclusions) because it was loud in there. I saw you look at me funny, boo. Not satisfactory at all. Never coming back to give my business here. Wish I could demand a refund.

The same great taste. A tip for chocolate lovers: Order the chocolate devotion and ask for a substitution for chocolate chips with brownie. Essentially 2 brownies on it for the maximum chocolate explosion.

They give you enough ice cream as to make you regret your entire life and all of the choices that led you to this point. For under $ 10, I’d call that a steal.

CSC is pretty damn good. I guess I just hate smelling piss and vomit. so really if you are taking this to-go then maybe it deserves an extra star, but that’ll have to be dependent on another individuals review to balance things out. I think i’m being fair… i’d rate Disneyland 3-stars if it smelled like piss too!

I love ice cream cakes and cold stone lets you design your own on their website. You can also order pre-designed cakes with great flavors! I picked up my honey’s cake for his b-day and everyone loved it. There were left overs and he carefully ate the last pieces during the week after his birthday. It was strawberry ice cream with red velvet cake. Yummy! Easy to pick up since its all paid online!

What can I say; I just can’t stay away from these when I run across them! This location is as consistent as those I have been to in other areas. The place was clean and the service was fast and friendly. One item to note is that they do not have a public restroom so keep that in mind if you want to wash your hands prior to eating your cone!

I returned — with a whole bunch of people! This time I shared a crispy waffle bowl with the fiancé, and we had an ice cream concoction to make Ben & Jerry’s Oh My Apple Pie blush. Crumbled up pie crust, chunks of apple, cinnamon… it went amazingly in the waffle. Svenja was with us again too, Cold Stone veteran, and she went for her chocolate brownie classic which too is always amazing. Plus, this Cold Stone is the site of ‘I don’t know what just happened!’ Our colleague Row H walked away from the counter with a giant ice cream milkshake in one hand and a huge sundae in the other. ‘I don’t even much like ice cream,’ she said in confusion. If that’s not testament to the power of Cold Stone, I don’t know what is. Nom.

Whats not to like about another Coldstones. Plenty of good ice cream and cake. They have tons of different cool creations to try. Their all the same too. I’m reviewing this one because of the server my friend and I had. Came in for some desert one night and got some ice cream. The server, an older gentleman, was very nice and welcoming. My friend ended up knocking over her ice cream right on the counter and the man offered her to give her another one on the house. Thumbs up for that guy.

This is not a review of the quality of the food… just service. I’m hoping the owner or manager reads these reviews, because I just tried to take my kid to your Fishermans Wharf store at 9:35pm on Thursday March 4, 2010 for ice cream and the door was locked and the CLOSED sign up. However we noticed the posted hours say you’re open until 10 on Thursdays. Knocks on the glass were not responded to even though we could tell someone was in there. After reading some of the other reviews on here now I’m kind of glad your worker closed up shop early… our cardiovascular systems are probably better off for it.

They make good ice creams and the like, but the thing I don’t like(at least, with this location), if that I always feel like I’m be «up sold». They try to get me to add stuff I don’t want … they never have the kids size cup available eventhough it’s on their menu. Just serve me the ice cream! I’m not buying a house Don’t add more stress to my day!

So yeah, i love ice cream. Its my dirty little secret. I try to pretend that I eat healthy but I do give into my ice cream desires very often. Im a huge fan of Cold Stone? Why? For starters, I really like the topping selections. They offer plenty of choices so when I come back I can try something new. My personal favorite is cotton candy with white chocolate chips. GRRR… i love it. My second reason. the service. They have always been really friendly to me and seem to enjoy what they do which is rare. Its nice to see people smiling when I walk in the door becaue its a good atmosphere. Finally…the ice cream.yum. SO many flavors to choose from. I would suggest going with a small. A medium or large would be way too big to eat in public… unless you are taking it home with you!
