I really do like coffee bar — I use it as a temporary office while I search for other jobs. I just have one point of improvement: to the nice lady who sits behind the espresso machine: Every time you yell(naw, shriek) «latte on the bar for Stephanie!!!» or «Mushroom melt for Caitlin!!!,» it’s alarming. Borderline, deafening — to the people who rely on the wonderful working atmosphere you’ve built to conduct business. People will find their latte, and their mushroom melts — otherwise, they’ll get cold, and no one wants a chilly version of either. Please, please, no need to scream — there’s already enough barking outside your walls, on the streets of San Francisco. A normal conversational volume will get the job done just fine.

It’s a good environment for getting work done. If you’re someone who needs complete silence to study, this is not the place to do it. Although it’s filled with noise, the ambiance is very productive. The lattes are good here, nothing too special. I think the Coffee Bar’s best feature is its setup rather than the drinks and food. Just based on observation, I found the staff to be a tad rude at times, but of course this does not speak for all staff members. Overall I liked the place, but only see myself coming here when I need to jam out some homework.

I love this Coffee Bar! I don’t come here as often as I should but when I do. I think that it might be one of my fave coffee shops in the city. I love the décor, ambiance and it’s quite a large space for being in the city! Their coffee, cold brew, and some of their lattes are great. I haven’t tried any of the food though! I’m Vietnamese. & maybe I have high standards for Vietnamese Coffee? I ordered the Havana Latte for my mom last week and she was rather disappointed. It’s not as strong as it’s supposed to be. I suppose it’s my fault trying to order a Vietnamese Coffee for her when she can make a proper one herself! BUT! She did say that the Wild Blueberry muffin was realllllly yummy!

Every time I come here I feel like a poor pariah. But, it’s close to the theater so it makes sense to come. They run out of ready made sandwiches hours before they close and their food is pretty expensive for what you get. It’s always filled with tech bros. Today I accidentally cut someone, there are two lines and the lady to my right was waiting for the cashier on my right. But the cashier ahead of me said hello and motioned me forward. There were lots of bugged out eyes and stuff, but eventually I just ordered to make it all go away. I picked out a turkey sandwich from their pre-made selection it was labeled with a T. I got back to the car and it’s actually salami, which isn’t a problem for me but they should more carefully label their food. If you want something quickly that is also what you ordered just go to Starbucks across the street.

I come here a lot like once a week. There’s a lot to like. The atmosphere is great; the food is great. I’ve been holding off writing this review for a while. The big problem I’m having is that they can be so damn unfriendly. This happens not all the time and it’s not everyone. Some folks are really actually nice. The people who bring the food are always sweet. But cashiers often can’t even squeeze out a thank you for a $ 20 breakfast. Oh and if you’re lucky enough to be here when the owner is here you’re in for a special treat. He’s very good at approaching customers and telling them off. I’ve seen him chastise people for bringing in outside food, which I get. But I’ve also seen him chew out a very young boy for leaving his bike with training wheels in the wrong place. In every place I’ve ever worked the culture trickles down from the top. Is that what’s happening here? I’ll bet they wonder why the tips aren’t better.

This place is cozy and makes the greatest little sandwiches. The lattes and cappuccinos are always expertly done. I’m a big fan of their lox bagel sandwiches, which are made with the addition of sprouts! The avocado toast is simple but also delightful. It’s a bit overpriced, but everything is in SF. I have yet to try their iced coffees but I hear from friends that they are super tasty.

In a city with arguably more coffee shops than people, it’s hard to find one that you can truly rank up with the best of them. And coffee bar makes it. The ambiance, first off, is hands down incredible. Cool, décor, plentiful indoor and outdoor seating, and situated in a much less-traveled area provides for a very calm day at the café. The lattes are great, but the kicker was actually the food. The sandwiches are all super fresh and feel clean(great if you’re trying to be a bit healthier this year ;) a black coffee and avocado toast? YUM). As mentioned my favorite thing here is the avocado toast, but any of the sandwiches are hard to pass up The neighborhood is also cute to walk around with some nearby gems as well

Get their horchata iced latte. If you need a mid-day caffeine jolt, this is it. I could not think straight when I drank half a cup. I kept talking jibberish to my co-worker. This cup of goodness is so tasty. Next time, I will get their food for lunch.

Wow this place is great! I almost don’t want to write this review so more people won’t find out about it. Their avocado toast is probably some of the best I’ve had yet. It has a nice sauce with a kick and I would go back just to eat it again. I tried the green tea which I also enjoyed. The space is big and open, and there’s outdoor seating as well. Small tables, a few bars to sit at, as well as some big, communal tables. Wifi is free and I was kicked off once, but no big deal. Also, it’s located in the perfect little nook of the Mission/Potrero Hill so tons of street parking. Perfect place for: working, reading, hanging out, feeling hip but not too hipster, sitting and thinking, sitting and talking, etc.

I’ve found my first favorite coffee shop in SF ~ The ambiance and décor inside is just beautiful and I love how peaceful the area is. I spent 4 hours at the coffee shop without even realizing how fast time had gone ! I got the havana latte which was really a bit sweet but I personally enjoy my latte’s sweet as I have a sweet tooth . I also got the avocado toast ~ the avocado was just perfectly ripe and i enjoyed the slight spicy kick that the toast had.

Although I’ve only been here couple of times, I think the original location of Coffee Bar is a really cool spot. If I lived in the area or worked nearby, I’d probably make this my go-to coffee house. They have a nice outdoor patio but I think this is one spot where the interior is nicer than the patio. From the inside you can’t see it, but there’s an upper level has big open space with plenty of tables. The communal tables overlook the café and actually make for great people watching. I haven’t had anything from their food menu but the coffee is good here. All I’ve had fro here is their Vietnamese Iced Coffee which is their 24-hour cold brew with condensed milk. It’s really tasty! I hope to come back to try their famous Havana Latte though since I hear it’s really good. I haven’t had any of their food yet, but their breakfast and lunch menus both look really promising. The breakfast menu ranges from breakfast burritos, bagels, toasts, and Eggs Benedict and the lunch menu consists of large selection of sandwiches and salads. Coffee Bar does get pretty crowded during the brunch hours on weekends, but with both inside and the patio being pretty spacious, it shouldn’t take long for a table to open up. Overall, Coffee Bar is an awesome café. It’s perfect for a weekend brunch, and a great spot for working and study groups.

13 minutes for a cappuccino at 9am on Friday? You guys ought to be glad the lion did not roar. I was in a good mood. I would recommend that Coffee bar ad a barista during peak hours of breakfast and lunch. No wonder there was a bench to sit on inside. Were they roasting the beans upon order? I told my new work colleagues about my experience and they laughed at me. As in. oh you didn’t know? I will not be back.

Bustling café, solid food and drinks, laptop friendly! I had a good couple hours of continuing education I needed to finish up and was looking for a café in the city where I could get my work done. Coffee Bar was a good choice. I got there around 10ish so I was able to score one of the coveted counter seats that line the second level. I hadn’t had breakfast yet so was hungrily looking over the menu. We’re in SF so of course I see the Avocado toast($ 4 — add $ 1 for egg, $ 2 for bacon bits). Other options are the very intriguing sounding espresso toast($ 4 — you’re mine next time), yogurt & granola($ 5), and egg sandwich($ 8). The breakfast burrito was tempting but I was being cheapsies so I opted for the ham and cheese croissant instead which did the job and paired nicely with my latte. This place had a good amount of seating upstairs, and several large tables which were communal. I imagine this comes in handy as starting around noon this place gets crazy busy with the lunch crowd. Their menu is fairly expansive with decent sandwich and salad options available. Also available are pre-wrapped sandwiches, great for those on the go. Since my seat overlooked the first floor, I was distracted watching all the people come in but it didn’t seem like an issue for my counterparts who all looked very focused and serious. A decent number stay here for hours upon hours and even take work calls from their laptop. Music selection consisted of a lot of new alternative and indie rock a la Modest Mouse which I found enjoyable. Self-service water was a plus. No complaints about the Wifi although you have to re-agree to the terms every hour or so. Café is bright, airy, and spacious and was definitely an upgrade to studying at home. The reason I can’t give this place 5 stars is it’s a little on the pricier side for the quality of food you get. You can easily rack up quite the bill if you’re grabbing lunch, drinks, and a dessert here. Also there is a perpetual line for the bathroom and their toilet is weaksauce! Some blonde lady in a cute cargo jacket and booties left me her #2 to deal with so I was in the bathroom for what felt like an interminably long time trying to get that sucker down and make the toilet presentable again.(What a nightmare!) I knew someone was waiting for me as I heard them jiggle the door open. So awkward. This definitely marred my experience some. Sorry to ruin anyone’s appetite but just speaking the truth. Downstairs they also sell roasted coffee and homemade vanilla syrup and caramel in cute jars.

I’ve been in this café for hours — I honestly don’t remember being outside today, that is how long I’ve been here. I’m actually writing this review inside Coffee Bar, on the grey comfy couch by the wall. Tragic, wonderfully tragic. I had a snack here. Professed my love for the girl next to me here. Edited a website. Sent some emails. Read 10+ articles and think pieces. Decided to sell some mugs on Amazon. Planned impromptu date with the girl next to me. Grabbed an iced coffee from downstairs. Refreshed my computer. The list really goes on. This café is dangerously perfect. I honestly am too damn comfortable and dreading the inevitable hour when I will have to leave. Wifi — no password and very strong. Outlets in some corners near the couches, great snacks and food at reasonable café prices, hints of natural light mixed with low indoor lighting fixtures. Jammin playlist of tunes that make you go ‘hmmm, dope’ instead of ‘dang, that’s annoying’. I’m going to try my best to frequent this place before it gets out of hand and I have to consider actually finding a better café in the east bay. Kudos, Coffee bar, you’ve won my heart.

My boyfriend has been raving about Coffee Bar for so long, but it was closed every time we tried coming here on a weekend. FINALLY, I was able to experience its glory on a random Monday afternoon and was lucky to find a seat open on the upstairs barstool area. Walking through the outdoor patio seating already sets the tone for how cool this place is. Once you enter Coffee Bar, there is so much to visually absorb… the delicious pastries in the window, the beautiful light fixtures around the café, and of course the massive amounts of seating everywhere. Though there was wine and beer available, I ordered an iced coffee with a raspberry and herb scone then found a place to sit upstairs. The staff is super friendly. There are plenty of outlets(though the one next to me did not work) and free and fast WiFi. The vibe here is great. Everyone seems to be focused on their laptop and working hard to get SOMETHING done. But they could be playing games for all I cared… they motivated me to concentrate on all my tasks at hand. As Coffee Bar neared closing time, I wish they turned on the lights or opened the curtains… it got dark super fast which made me want to peace out. Nevertheless, I will be coming here more often. Certain seating areas are blocked off during lunch time for laptop use, so keep that in mind and get here early then camp out all day.

So many hipster vibes but yolo I love coffee and Coffee Bar is great. I love coming here to grab a cup of coffee and a snack or a sandwich. I’ve gotten the iced coffee and iced Americano here and both were pretty good. I need to try their other coffee drinks! But I really dig this place for their food! Their ham and cheese croissant is DABOMB.COM. And also the last time I came here I got a lox sandwich for lunch and ugh omg so delicious. when I die bury me with a lox sandwich in hand. They have a ton of different sandwich and pastry choices and lunch specials and everything looks delicious. The coffee shop itself is pretty spacious. There’s a nice outdoor seating area with tables and umbrellas. Inside, the space has high ceilings and tons of seating. It would definitely be a great place to study or do work. It’s usually pretty quiet and laid back. Definitely check this place out if you want some caffeine, delicious food, and a nice place to chill!

This is my go-to SF café when I want to bunker down with a laptop and get some work done. There are a few outdoor seats, quite a bit of indoor seating, plenty of outlets, good natural lighting and a strong wifi signal. Parking is very easy, which is crucial for my work-café selection. I’ve never been able to get one of the counter seats on the second level, but there has always been room at the large communal tables. While the baristas are friendly, dirty dishes are left on the table FOREVER. There are tubs so people should be bussing their own tables, but rude ass customers here don’t bother and the employees don’t either. The restroom line always takes FOREVER, to the point that I always wonder if there’s some secret cocaine stash in there, because I have stood in a restroom line at least a dozen times now, and each time it’s always ONE person who’s in there for about 8 minutes, yet there is no after poop smell.

This is a great little local business. They have a great indoor area which is large enough to seat a lot of people, both the laptop crowd and the lunch crowd. The effect of the laptop crowd(which admittedly I am often part of) is offset by restricting where you can sit with a computer during certain hours, AND having large areas of bar type seating where you can sit for a while. Quality wifi is a bonus too. The outdoor area is also pretty cool, shaded by some trees and fenced in a bit from the street. The coffees are great, both hot and cold varieties. Try the Wietnamese coffee if you’re in the mood for something sweet. I’ve seen others eating the food items, and they look pretty great too, but haven’t tried them myself. I’ll be back though.

Looking for a coffee shop that can adequately drown you in your work while you can be treated to a perfectly-pulled cup of coffee and hearty eat can be a bit difficult to find. Most coffee shops are little pop-ups or small cafes with a few seats and couches with enough room for a few guests. This Coffee Bar should be called some sort of Coffee Lounge or Library, because there are wide open tables, desks, chairs, couches and even gorgeous outdoor patio seating. There’s nothing like seeing everyone pulled up on their laptops, headphones on and coffee in hand that makes you want to work, as well. Not a lot of cups of coffee can make me swoon as much as this, but I wandered in on here for a quick cup and decided to see what this Havana Latte was all about. For a 12oz cup for $ 5, it surprisingly made me swooooon. It made my mouth melt with every sip. I ordered it with soy milk, as is my usual, and was surprised at how creamy and sweet it was. It was like a deliciously perfect, warm cup of milky lightly-caramel-ly coffee… I can see why people would crave this over and over again as it’s a rich and warm cup that easily fills your appetite. Damn smooth and light. Other peoples’ eats seemed delicious, but they normally go from $ 8 – 13, so I didn’t go for a plate. Their sandwiches and salads are made fresh in-store and delivered to your seat. Perfect spot for a good cup of coffee and sandwich to go with your midday work grind, coffee break with friend or chat. If I’m ever in the area again, I’d LOVE to come back. This may easily become one of my favorite coffee shops in San Francisco… And it’s not just the succulents, pretty red patio seating or lots of open space… Their coffee pulls really well!

Came here on a Friday afternoon. The space is a great place to do work or read a book. There are plenty of plug outlets and the natural lighting is fantastic. The entrance door was open so there was a nice breeze going through. Most of the people here were busying on their Macs, so it was a nice study environment. The interior design feels open and modern. I love the couches — they are so comfy and have accompanying sofa squares to put your legs up on. I got a chocolate mocha. The mug was a nice touch, compared to the usual to-go paper/plastic.
