Very cute little spot! I tried the beer flight, I let the –very sweet– bartender decides on the beer selection. I’m not a big fan of beer in general but these ones were really«special». I only liked one, the others really felt like an experience: strong taste of lavender or coffee… I was happy to try a bunch, though :-) I also tried one of their empanadas and it was delicious! I’d like to add that it’s pretty inexpensive: Empanadas are $ 5 and the beer flight was $ 10 ;-)

Amazing, amazing beer spot. I want to shout it from the rooftops but I also want to keep it a secret because the place is so small and it feels like a find. My buddies and I do a monthly beer club and this was by far my favorite we’ve been to. It’s super small but luckily it wasn’t too packed and we were able to get a seat at the communal table. We tried all the beers and honestly every single one was great. Plus they have delicious and cheap empanadas. Go here… and save a spot for me :)

I was walking around the neighborhood and decided to stop in and try their beers. Their beers are a bit more experimental than other microbreweries. So it’s more for the adventerous beer drinker. I had a flight to sample several beers and my favorite was their Czech style pilsner. I got a crowler(32 oz can) of it to go and enjoy at Delores park across the street. My girlfriend and I tried the beef empanada and also the chicken and both were delicious. I thought the crowler was a little expensive at $ 12, but not out of the realm of SF prices.

Terrible service. It’s overpriced and the products are not fresh. After having lunch there I asked them if they could fill out my thermo with hot water(to take my personal mate to the park) and got a dirty look and charged me $ 2 for 750ml of hot water. This doesn’t represent the Argentinian mate culture, or even the San Francisco friendly culture. Horrible experience. Definitely not coming back again.

Came here on a Wednesday around noon and the place was completely empty. The beers that are brewed here all sound very tasty. I ended up getting a peanut butter stout served on a nitro tap and I cannot recommend it enough. I don’t usually like stouts but this one has changed my perspective on them entirely. The beer was rich as described, and the only thing that would’ve made it better is if I had some ice cream to make a float with. I’m definitely coming back to try the empanadas and some more beers.

I loved this place! As I am not a huge beer drinker, I appreciated the drink selections such as the tea-infused Yerba Mate IPA and the hopless Morpho Herbal Ale(both caffeinated). Described as fruity, the Morpho was not overly sweat and smelled delicious. A good gathering spot for getting a quick drink and catching up with friends. It is small, so the place does fill up quickly. And the best part, you can take an empanada and can of beer to go! The Pollo empanada was a yummy post-drink snack!

This is a great concept. Small, chill, snack-y food, and beers, in a great little corner spot. The problem is that they seem to have reduced their beer stock dramatically, and are using only their brewed beer. And they’re… there’s no other way to say this… not great. One can I got was flat(canned in front of us — not sure that’s the best way). In other tap beers, flavors kinda beat you over the skull. Any semblance of balance is nonexistent. I want this place to succeed. It’s a great addition to the neighborhood. And I want it to make its own great beer too. But until that’s the case, other drink options would easily add a star to this review. I hope it works out.

I’ve never had a bad time here. Whoever decided on making ‘Crowlers’ deserves a raise. What more would a Dolores park goer want than a delicious tall beer? Their yerba maté ipa is the best and their employees are welcoming and friendly. Not to mention, their deeeeelightful empanadas. I almost hesitate giving them this review because it is kind of my hidden gem in the city that hits the spot and at the same time is affordable but they’ve earned it.

Great Scott, those empanadas are great! And you can take it to go, to enjoy it while picnicking in Dolores park right next door. This place is fun, casual, upbeat and always has croud. They have a nice selection local craft beers, and I believe they also have their own brew though I have never tried it. If you like to enjoy one of their beers outside, ask for their to go cans.

Loved the empanadas and the beer selection, but mostly the empanadas. The Jamon y Queso empanada is amazing!

What a little gem in the neighborhood and right on the corner of Dolores Park! We stopped by for some beers after playing tennis. Great brews that they make themselves, rotating menu as they come up with new concoctions, interesting stuff and a great chill vibe!

This was an awesome little spot. My sister and I stopped in here on a day we were touring the town for breweries. It was our first stop and we were the only ones there during our stay. This might have been a bit of a plus since we got to chat up the bartender Pablo about all the beers(he brews as well). They have three locations, this one is prime for Delores park. They do growlers or «crowlers» which are large cans that are sealed on site which would be ideal for a picnic or you know, most situations. The focus of their beers is certainly around adjunct additions. All of my favorites were spiced or tea’d in someway. We tried all the beers on tap and our favorite was the local honey which had a lot of flavors one would find in… local honey. Eucalyptus, mint, lavender, etc., all blended beautifully together in a refreshing, not too sweet beer. I don’t usually like beers like this, but this one blew me away. Another favorite was a hibiscus beer. We also really liked their Porter. If you like beer, or live in the Mission, you should be checking this place out.

I got the greyhound $ 6. Love blondies. My friend got a flight for like $ 10. You can skip the empenadas. Tasted weird with my beer to be honest. But It was okay to eat separately. Bartender was really friendly

I thought this was a pretty cute, intimate, hipster bar. Located very close to Dolores park, it’s got a simple but cool décor and the atmosphere is very low-key. It’s the kind of place where you stop by to try a few beers on a quiet night, and I was a tad disappointed cause I was expecting a bit more action on my last Saturday night in San Francisco. That being said, we did not stay long: just enough to try their empanadas(good but not amazing) and some of their draft beer(interesting but a bit too bitter for me). The service was pretty good(the guy took his time trying to explain to me which beer was more likely to suit my taste) and I think this is a great place for a low expectations night, or just to grab a beer after leaving the park.

Yep. It was a ok… We stopped in last weekend after checking out the area… This is a very small micro brewery… We appreciated that… We tasted their beers… Small pours… The atmosphere is fine… Overall, it was good… The beers were ok, kind of like home brewing… We wish them best…

Holy Moly Girl Scout Beer!!! Adorable little hole in the wall place on the side of a big park. We thought this place would have margaritas and when we popped in around 1pm on a Friday we were excited to see that they had a whole new brew of girl scout cookie themed beers and boy oh boy were they delish. I personally didn’t buy any girl scout cookies this year so the fact that I could go and have a beer taste(ok glass of beer) and a girl scout cookie was epic. Great way to day drink at this little place. I can’t imagine how packed they get at night because it is not very big. Great during the day.

Wow. High quality beer served in fancy glasses ranging from($ 5-$ 7) and amazing empanadas in a variety of flavors for $ 4. Don’t leave without an empanada! My friend swears by this brewery, and he wasn’t kidding. I ordered the vintage morpho, the girliest beer I could find(made with hibiscus) and I loved it. I tried sips of my friends’ beer, and I liked them too. We couldn’t resist second rounds of drinks and empanadas. I tried and like most of the flavors(beef, chicken, ham & cheese), but I fell in love instantly with the mushroom one. Needless to say, I got seconds of that one :) This place is so accessible by Muni, and it’s right next to Dolores Park. Definitely a great place to catch up with friends in a chill environment. I just wish they had more tables. According to a sign, the place is under a little renovation. Nonetheless, service was impressive. It was crowded and there was only one guy handling everything. Props to him.

Quality, simple, reasonably-priced. Interiors that could be found on a design blog. Cervecería de MateVeza kind of does everything right. It’s an inviting lil’ spot to grab a beer and an empanada(which are literally all they offer) with a friend. One friend– I wouldn’t come here with a group because it’s pretty small and seating is limited. My pint was $ 5, my empanada was $ 6. Both were fantastic. It’s directly across the street from Dolores Park. So if you’re vintage shopping on Valencia or lounging in Dolores and want to meet up with a friend, this is kind of an ideal spot. ^I’ll keep this review small and sweet, just like Cervecería de MateVeza.

The San Francisco Brewery Tour… STOP #5 Last stop of my SF Beer Tour… Smallest beer selection and also the smallest room… but all the beer was good! Though I was pretty wasted at this point so everything touching my lips tasted deeeeeeeelicious! ;) $ 4 tasty empanadas to keep you going… cheese was alright, chicken was way better. MEAT! I should come here sober next time.

Got their empanadas for a quick lunch bite. Server said the most popular ones are carne(beef) and champinones(mushrooms). $ 4 a pop. They’re the same empanadas that are offered at the SF Ferry Building(El Porteno food stand). I got 2 empanadas– carne and pollo. Pretty good sized(similar in size to that of a hot pocket). Tasty flavor combinations. Carne has grass-fed ground beef, onions, green onion, olives, raisin, and hard boiled eggs. Pollo has chicken, raisins, green olives, and onions. Good contrast in flavors– the sweetness of the raisins and onions, savoryness of the meat, and the saltiness of the olives. Not that much seating. Good place to stop for a beer. Can see how empanadas would complement the beers. PS– Empanadas are kept in a warming oven, and they simply pull it out when you order at the counter.

Tiny little place at the corner of Dolores Park and I am a total fan of it. It can get crowded on a nice day. I think they have an interesting concept, blending herbal flavors into beer. Their house staples are the Morpho and Yerba Mate IPA. The best I’ve had was the cornflake cream ale. I also enjoyed the grapefruit sour ale and maple beer. They also have other local guest beers on tap. They also serve empanadas from El Porteño. There is also a fridge with some of their beers bottled, but also an impressive selection of other stuff like Evil Twin, Bison, and The Bruery for example. Of course, great for brown-bag-park-drinking!
