CCS Architecture

Cass is an artist. He produces outstanding work in collaboration with clients. Just make sure the supporting associate is a good one.

CCS architecture helped me to rennovate a space at 55 Francisco in the North Embarcadero for my new plastic surgery office. Cass Smith, the principal architect, and Dera-​Jill Lamontagne, the project architect, exceeded expectations and delivered a final product that is stunning. Cass designed the space around our drop-​dead views of the both bridges and the bay in between, finding the perfect balance of modernism and warmth. Dera-​Jill was meticulous and detail oriented throughout the entire process, ensuring every last inch was perfect (helping us to overcome many hurdles with our contractor and subs). I esecially liked that CCS took care of all aspects of the endeavor, from project management, direction and oversight of the contractors, and interior design including furniture selection. Cass Smith did a great job designing our restaurant. He is not only a popular, top notch architect (you’ve probably eaten at one of the restaurants he’s designed), but he is also easy to work with and is very flexible. His support team is also excellent – friendly and professional. I can recommend CCS wholeheartedly.

This team gets restaurants right. They’re very creative and have great taste but also understand the practical necessities of commercial restaurant design so you end up with a space that works. Establish a budget that you’re both comfortable with and dive in. They’re great to work with.
