Cadence Chocolates

My husband and I worked with Cadence Chocolates to provide favors for our small vegan wedding. We had planned to go with another chocolate company, but switched to Cadence Chocolates after just one bite. Why go for the same old chocolate when we could wow guests with Melissa’s unique and delicious flavors and gorgeous packaging?

If I suddenly won the lottery, I would spirit Melissa away to be my personal chocolatier. From the packaging to the palate, Cadence Chocolates never fail to satisfy. Not only are the flavor combinations out of this world, but you get a work of art with every order. I love knowing that Cadence Chocolates are made locally with an eye toward sustainability. And luckily for me, these treats are available to everyone, from the individual connoisseur to bridal parties to corporate functions. I decided to use Cadence Chocolates for my wedding favors. I had two chocolates in a tiny box placed at each person’s seat at my reception. It was the final, perfect detail to the best day of my life :)
Melissa, the chocolatier who owns Cadence, went above and beyond at every step in the creative development and order process, and was easily my favorite vendor I worked with for my wedding. She tirelessly researched color palettes and flavors, creating the perfect, dazzling swirl on each chocolate that flawlessly matched my entire wedding theme and colors. We landed on Peanut Butter, Hibiscus Rose, Bergamont and Lavendar. She also experimented with different packaging until she had the prefect little rustic box with just the right Washi tape, paper border with a custom quote, and perfect bows. Each box was a combination of two of the flavors above. They were gorgeous. And my guests went crazy over them! The compliments were endless.
I always appreciated how detail-​oriented, responsive and prompt Melissa was throughout our several weeks of communication to create and firm up the order. She is a bride’s dream vendor. Never once did I feel like I had to worry about things going wrong or not turning out. When you’re a bride, you know exactly how valuable that is. Melissa was all over it!
We had a little bit of panic leading up to the wedding as I had an outdoor wedding, and there was a heatwave that weekend. The chocolates are fragile and there are optimum temperatures for them, so I was sweating it a little. Melissa carefully tracked the weather what seemed by the minute, providing updates all along the way, and working tirelessly with my caterer and wedding planner to come up with plan after plan to ensure the chocolates made it. She even brought her laser gun that would test the temperature of the air before she would set them out to ensure they weren’t a melted mess when guests opened up their boxes. Thank goodness — all the careful monitoring worked! We had to set them out a little later than planned, but everyone got their box!
Even at $ 8/​two-​piece box, it was still a well-​worth it splurge. The best part is being able to re-​order those flavors in the future and getting a little taste of my dream wedding day allover again! :)

A friend got some Cadence Chocolates as a gift and was kind enough to share a few with me… I could not believe the fresh flavors and inventive flavor combos.
I then contacted Cadence to order some chocolates for a company event I was having, and Melissa took great care of me. Everything was very professionally done from delivery punctuality to packaging design. And the TASTE! Everyone looks up from their empty box with the same look of «I can’t believe I just finished them all… I want more!»
