I have unique pieces of clothing that I trust only to Gail and C-H Cleaners. I have taken them to others along 18th Street and they are never the same. She is a fine tailor/seamstress, has a great eye for detail and the quality of the cleaning is impeccable.

Great customer service and the owner is a very talented seamstress. I had an awful bridesmaids dress that just wasn’t fitting me right. She was able to take in the top of the dress and shorten the straps so the dress fit me properly and I didn’t look ridiculous. I’ve also taken my laundry there and everything came back spotless and perfectly folded. Her alteration fees are extremely reasonable and there’s temporary parking right in front. Great local business!

After the reviews, I thought I should try this place. 70 cent/pound is pretty cheap in the city. Well, I guess I should have called to confirm the price. I found out it was actually $ 1/pound like everywhere else. On top of that, this place doesn’t look clean. I mean there was a CAT sitting on the floor… If you’re allergic to cats like me, DON’T take your clothes there. EEK! Me thinks not~

I wear a lot of white shirts for my job, and they are always collecting dirt around the collar. I’ve been to three other cleaners in the neighborhood without any real satisfaction. At other cleaners, they’ll put a piece of tape over a stain and send it off to an outside location to be cleaned. When I get the item back, there isn’t much change, and the stain is actually harder to get out. After 5 – 6 wearings, the shirt is hardly serviceable. When I took my shirts to Gail at C-H at the recommendation of a neighbor, though, I was pleasantly surprised. I told her about the problems I had been having, and she told me that she does a pre-treatment before she sends the clothing out. I gave her a test with two stained shirts. One had only been worn once and never washed, and I didn’t to repeat the negative experience. I was amazed to pick up the shirt, and discover that the old stains had actually been removed, and the colors cleaned. I took in two more shirts that other cleaners could never get fully clean. Again, Gail surprised me when the shirts looked like they were new again. I suffered through the misery of Big Cleaners down the street after ignoring all the bad Unilocal reviews. Nearby Lee Loy closed its doors recently. So I’m pumped to discover Gail and her radical business.
