Extraordinarily rude staff. Red eye flight. Everything is closed. I see they’re open; there’s a starting in on his burger. I decide to get a milkshake. I walk up to the counter. Woman says, «Sorry, we’re closed.» I said, «Aww, what time did you close?» «Right now.» «I just want s milkshake.» Sternly, «We’re closed.» I check my watch. It’s 23:57. Clearly, they close at midnight. It’s not midnight yet. She could’ve offered me a soda or something. I won’t forget this, Burger Joint.

3 stars is ridiculous. This is 5 stars for an airport. So I’m going with 4. The salads are actually fresh. The burgers are juicy(get medium rare). And the service is crazy efficient and friendly. The fries are good if you like steak cut fries. I’m really more into McDonald’s sized fries so they are a bit much. See«salad». Until we get a 5-Guys, this is my place to grab lunch inside(thru security) T2. Also one in International.

30 minutes wait for a $ 9.95 grilled cheese! The customers who ordered after me had their orders ready. When I enquired it appears they forgot my order. No offer of a refund. Not impressed will not be visiting there again.

+0 for Service +1 for awesome fries +1 for relatively cheap airport prices Food: I love their fries, indifferent to their burgers, indifferent to the turkey club Service: The attitude sucks here, its like buying stamps at the post office. Most recent trip, they made me wait over 5 minutes for my fountain Coca Cola because the syrup was tapped… How do you not change this faster at a fast food joint? Location: If you fly Virgin America from SFO, its not a terrible option, unless you want whack Japanese food or candy. No self respecting carnivore eats at the Plant(F*** Turkey Bacon). Pro Tip: Buy the bottled Coke, its cheaper than most places in the terminal & last time I got a fountain soda there was a lot of soda on the side — sticky hands suck for your carry on!

Received my food burnt and cold. Gave it back to the counter. She never apologized. I reordered a turkey burger. After 49 minutes I still did not receive my order. I then asked for a credit. They would not credit my entire bill of $ 23.24. I had ordered a $ 8 beer. Only credited me $ 14. They smirked and were incredibly rude. I asked for the manager but was told there was not one on the premises. They spoke only Spanish to each other again very rude!!! Gave me the name of FREDDY as a manager — no last name? ni will contact FREDDY tomorrow — I have eaten here at least 20 times over the last 2 years. Such a joke to be treated so poorly.

This place is amazing. If you’re flying Virgin or anything in T2 I 110% recommend! The burgers are great, super cheesy and perfectly greasy. I had a double, BF had the turkey with everything. Both looked heavenly and tasted better. Service is fast and nice. Sit at the counter :) the shakes are great too!

I would not recommend getting a burger here at all. The fries were pretty awesome and this would have been a 1-star review without them. The burger was flavorless and not juicy at all, and more importantly, EVERYSINGLEBITE had MULTIPLE pieces of sinew and cartilage. It was a disgusting experience and i didn’t finish the burger. On top of that, the terrible burger, fries and a drink cost $ 16. I would also like to add that I went into it with very low expectations and was still supremely disappointed. You would do the world a favor if your lack of business helped put this place out of business.

Obviously, everything at the airport is overpriced. But there is another restaurant, that looks a little swankier, but offers breakfast for a buck or two cheaper than the Burger Joint, about 10 steps away, after the Mexican place. My one star isn’t for the price — it’s for the awful service. I was asking the very clearly impatient Filipino woman at the register how much fruit and the bagel in the showcase were. She was making up and rounding off prices off the top of her head and got irritated by the time I asked the price for three items in total — bagel, fruit, and granola; I wasn’t asking prices for insane things. If you don’t want customers to ask for the price, then sticker it on there. In the middle of me handing her my money, I noticed and felt that two of the $ 1 bills were sticking together because they were crisp. I told her I think I handed her an extra dollar but she was ignoring me! I said it once more and she was clearly annoyed. This sounds paranoid as hell, but I’m pretty sure she was aware and wanted to pocket it, they weren’t THAT stuck together to the point where it wasn’t noticeable. She counted it out, handed me my extra dollar over unamused, muttered something in Tagalog, and immediately called the next person over. I was hustling to try to pick up my shit and move, but I had a few things to pick up, including my food. I hate when people are in my personal space so this annoyed me to all hell. I would never come back here solely because of this lady. I have her name on my receipt, but I don’t want to put her on blast like that. I just hope the employer is aware of who it is when/if they read this.

The breakfast sandwich is fire for airport food. I would order again if I flew out of that terminal again.

At the airport at 8 am for a flight back to the land of the ice and snow(from the midnight sun where the hot springs flow), we were in need of some breakfast. What did we get? Hamburgers! The cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast. What kind of hamburgers did we get? Bacon cheeseburgers. Oh, where’d we get ‘em? McDonalds? Wendy’s? Jack in the Box? No. Burger Joint. That’s that SFO burger joint. I heard they got some tasty burgers, but I ain’t never had one myself. And that was a [fairly] tasty burger. They provided all the appropriate accoutrements, which made all the difference for the thin and overcooked patty. Also the fries were surprisingly and pleasantly crispy(for such thick-cut potatoes). The folk behind the counter even left the box open slightly so they wouldn’t get steamed. I appreciate that.

If you are able to forget the ridiculous prices that you pay at the airport, this place is pretty awesome. You have the option to order either French fries or salad with your burger/sandwich. I don’t usually like thick French fries, but these were thick and crispy not soggy and stale like other places. The pepper jack cheese burger was freaky amazing! I also added grilled onions, it was the perfect combo! Every bite was juicy, I had to ask for extra napkins. I asked the staff if there were any other locations in the city, but it sounded like they have all closed which is a shame.

I made a stop during my layover in SFO coming from Portland to LAX when I decided to check this place out. I ordered the Double Cheeseburger with bacon, and avocado, fries, and a beer. I was friggin SHOCKED when the cashier told me the total came out to $ 26??? I immediately remarked to her saying I sure hope the burger is worth the price… Well. .. It is not. .. The fries had no seasoning, the burger had no flavor, the bun was smashed, $ 4 for two slices of bacon and a few tiny slivers of avocado. Now ain’t THAT some bullsh**! Not only was the food horrible, but as many of you know, airport food is WAAAY over-priced! I will DEFINITELY never eat at this place again, and I hope you all avoid this place like the plague. .. Save your money– you’re better off going to In N Out, getting a 4×4, animal style fries, and a 6-pack of your favorite beer. It will STILL be a hell of a lot CHEAPER, and BETTERTASTING than what I had at Burger Joint. Completely full of themselves.

This is a great burger place for inside an airport. They cook a great burger here. They have great fries as well.

One of the better food options at SFO terminal for the price — especially if dining for two. Just get the double-patty burger and ask them to cut it in half and split it.

This was my first visit to the Burger Joint while awaiting a 7am flight. The food is great, but it is ridiculously overpriced. $ 12 for a ham and cheese sandwich is a bit too much… even for airport prices. The service was decent; nothing spectacular, nothing horrible. My main gripe is the price for airport food.

I’ll usually order food from Burger Joint right before I get on my early morning flight into JFK. Burger Joint is the only reasonably priced restaurant inside SFOT2 that I will eat. My usual order is a Cheeseburger with extra onions and a side salad. By the time I get hungry on the plane, the fries would get soggy so that’s why I usually get a salad instead. They also have a selection of breakfast items but I pass on that because it’s cheaper to eat at home. I usually don’t have the appetite that early in the morning anyway. I love Virgin America to death but their selection of food just doesn’t fill me up. I’ll take a hot meal over a refrigerated sandwich any day. Most of the people are like me and order their food to go. You can also eat at the counter if you have time. It’s located pretty close to the Virgin America gates so you’ll never miss a boarding call. The people working here are friendly and efficient. They also open super early so if you feel like eating breakfast at 4am, they’re already open. No need to wait until 7am for the other restaurants to open. I’m usually already on the tarmac at that time.

This is a review based on a number of pre-flight meals at the Burger Joint in Terminal 2 of San Francisco International Airport. The staff has always been friendly. The restaurant area is clean. You can either sit at the counter seats, stand at the nearby counter, or take your food to the gate. The only negative is that it is not always that quick. In general, the fastest I’ve gotten my burger is ten minutes and, on at least one occasion, it has taken over 15 minutes. So, if you are cutting it close, Burger Joint may not be the best option. I think their burgers are pretty good. This is a diner style burger made with fresh ingredients. If you add the caveat that this is an airport burger, then this is a great burger. The ingredients are fresh. The cheese is melted perfectly. Each burger is freshly made to order. The fries are also nice natural cut fries. Receipt($ 14.20) — Ok, this isn’t exactly cheap for a burger, fries, and drink. But, as airport costs for food goes, it is not in the highway robbery category either. Overall — This is one of my favourite airport eating options. For SFO, it is number one on my list. I love burgers. This is a good freshly prepared burger. Like I mentioned earlier, it is not a good option if you do not have a little extra time.

Glad to find a spot still open while catching a red eye. What we swallowed: CLUBSANDWICH with FRENCHFRIES: The Club sandwich was tasty and the wheat bread was perfectly toasted. Good amounts of meat without it being too overbearing. The french fries were fat cut but had really crisp edges and moist insides. Great food for decent prices for being the only joint open so late.

I don’t know what to say about this place. On one hand I had the very best tasting Veggie burger of my life during my red-eye flight layover. On the other, I had to run for the bathroom every 30 minutes all the way from SFO to IAD. I can’t say for certain what caused the explosive situation… So I’ll leave it to you to decide by making it 3 stars.

Edible but really not good. Burger patty was dry. Buns not that fluffy. Portabello and grilled cheese sandwich was just greasy and loaded with mayo to make up for the lack of flavors. Fries was alright if you don’t mind them being not crispy. On top of the subpar quality there was a super long wait for the food. Go somewhere else if you are in a hurry. I am afraid I cannot recommend.
