It’s ok. My brother ordered a steak and that thing came out tiny! For the price we were expecting something at least filling. We also ordered the shrimp to share between two people which was plenty with a side order of the shrimp mac n cheese. It seemed like the food got cold super quick which was one of the downsides and I had hoped the shrimp would have more flavor. The garlic bread was good! The kid’s order was cool for them because it came in a little paper boat tray. All the hanging memorabilia of the Forrest Gump movie is cool to look at & my niece enjoyed being in charge of the little flip sign they have(one side says run forrest and the other I think says stop or something like that) where any waiter can stop to help you. Which is convenient you don’t have to wait forever for your own waiter to come back to you. Our waiter was awesome though– great customer service but just wished the food was what it was hyped up to be. They also quiz you on the Forrest Gump movie too!

Was here yesterday with a group of friends for a day in the Bay Area! The wait was not too long for how busy it was! Professional and friendly staff, got seated and our waitress was very attentive and sweet. She played«Forrest Gump» trivia with us. Shrimp was very good along with the crab and fried fish! The drinks were yummy and some even include a souvenir cup! My friend wanted the mason jar souvenir glass and they were accommodating! Good time and beautiful view of the bay from our table. Will probably visit again if I happen to be by pier 39!

Bloody dam good sea food at Fisherman’s Wharf! I love the Forrest Gump theme of this restaurant. They have amazing cocktails and top notch shrimp, crab and fish. Don’t go there if you haven’t watched Forrest Gump though!

The food was ok. I have been many times but I guess last night the cook didn’t have any love. Our waiter was super cool. We never had to flag him down. The bartenders were really cool too.

This location is always busy. It is in a tourist spot so be prepared for a long wait. We put our names down & then wandered the Pier since they told us about 45 minutes. When they called our names, we were put on the ramp inside for someone to seat us. Our host & server were AWESOME! Super friendly & attentive! They have these place cards on the table that you use to get your waiters attention. The blue card states«RUN Forest RUN» which means all is good but if you want to get your waiter’s attention, you flip to the red place card that states«STOP Forest STOP.» Love that idea! Although we didn’t need to use it because our service was SUPERB! I ordered a Mojito which came with a voucher that gave me a glass I could keep as a souvenir, SUPERCOOL! You redeem the glass at their gift shop located right outside the restaurant. I don’t necessarily do burgers, since it’s the consistency but I decided why not? & I was feeling adventurous. I should’ve just not. I ordered the Veggie Mushroom Burger which was a mushroom burger with pepper jack cheese, RAW red onions, avocado, spring mix and remoulade sauce. Served with fries. The burger was good… but again, it’s a texture thing for me. I only ate half, if that. The red onion being raw was meh. I’m sure the burger was good but I’m just a picky person –_– Other than that, it was good.

Decent but nothing to brag about — server was great — the crab in my combo was so salty was like eating a salt lick. Peel and eat shrimp Appetizer over cooked almost impossible to get shells off. Was a one time experience just to say we tried it … To many other choices in the city. Place was extremely loud from large 18 year old birthday party a couple tables away in corner yelling.

Been here before and liked the food and service so we decided to go here for lunch on New Year’s Day. We ordered two shrimp Po’Boy entrees, the shrimpers heaven, and calamari appetizers. The Po’Boys were dry and had hardly any shrimp on them. The other two items were just ok. I would have given three stars, but our server was very rude and didn’t want to explain the dishes we had questions about. All in all, I’m not coming back to this location.

Always thought bubba Gump to be more gimmicky restaurant than a true eatery. The first time I went I thought it was ok. After many years were treated by a local friend to eat there. I think the food is better. The portion still were on smaller side given the price. I had the tilapia which was well prepared however too salty to my taste. I was still hungry afterwards. Which they gave us table bread. My friend had the shrimp feast. Looked really good, with lots of fries. Wife had the seafood pasta which I thought the flavor was too mild. Over all it is still an ok eatery. Service was nice and friendly.

Fast and fun service. Our server Phil was a ball of energy. So contagious. Everything I order here is good. I recommend the Cajun shrimp appetizer and calimari. Price is fair and the view is perfect.

I want to give this place an extra star for nostalgia factor, but it really is a 3-star restaurant. It’s a bro-filled touristy place you’ll find in many major tourist cities, but damn it if I haven’t had a great time every time I’ve been here. With friends, family, we all just put ourselves in the right mood, go with the flow, and we have fun, genuine fun. The food has never been great, however when I first started going almost 20 years ago it was definitely better than it is now. Not surprising, we’re talking a chain that knows where to put its money. People aren’t going there for gourmet meals. The prices are on the higher side for the quality, but again, you pay for tourist places. Don’t go there looking for a good deal, go there looking to have fun and eat mediocre food. The servers have always been friendly with us. Maybe it’s forced, maybe they just hire friendly people, who knows. Either way, they do a great job serving us while entertaining us with Forrest Gump facts and other little games. I recently noticed that somewhere along the line they went from having several tvs all over showing Forrest Gump to only one tiny almost unnoticeable one in the waiting area. Less props and costumes from the movie are found hanging in glass cases. But that’s what happens in these kind of places. The more they expand the cheaper they get. I still have a good time there. Also, if you’re looking for souvenir crap to buy they definitely have you covered! Everything from the light up glass your drink came in to prawn magnets to a full scale selection of various types of clothing. Honestly, it’s better than an I heart SF tshirt.

We went here as laundry select members for my birthday. I called ahead of time to ask about parking validation. The person told me that Bubba validated for 2 hours. We decided to go to eat there. When we arrived, we confirmed with the front of house person that they validated for 2 hours and he said yes. We stayed. Ate there. Food was decent. Server was okay. A little awkward, but nothing crazy. We took our time and finished in about an hour. We paid using my birthday reward from laundry and paid the difference wish credit. and then went to the retail store to validate. They told us they could only validate one hour! We asked to speak with a manager and she couldn’t give us credit on our meal or any validation for the extra hour. She said the policy changed, but they haven’t trained all their staff on the new rules, which is why people gave us wrong info. We asked if there was anything they could do(ex. Comp for next meal). She asked another manager and they talked for a long time while we waited and she said no. She said cuz we paid already they couldn’t give us anything back. We left really upset. Not going back here. Ruined my bday dinner night!!!

Bubba Gump is located upstairs at the end of the pier. It’s a fun tourist attraction that offers a nice view of the water. You can see Alcatraz and the bay bridge from the window. However, I wouldn’t recommend coming here for the food. The wait was long, and service was nice but really slow. I got the shrimp tacos, and they were mediocre. There are much better options in the area.

Yesterday was my first time ever at Bubba Gump and I’d have to say, I really enjoyed it. Their clam chowder has got to be one of my all favorites. The calamari was good, but I did find it strange that there were battered and fried banana peppers and bell peppers amongst the calamari. I didn’t mind it, but it was quite the surprise when I bit into the pepper. The shrimp mac n cheese was pretty good as well. From my husbands dish, I loved the hush puppies because they were super flavorful. My jambalaya was also very good, but I barely made a dent in it because we had so much food on the table. To end our meal, we got the dessert sampler and I loved their version of the«pizookie» warm chocolate chip cookie topped with vanilla ice cream. The service was great and we will be coming back.

This place is so awesome! I love coming down here before a giants game and watching a little bit of Forrest Gump and having a little trivia with the waiters and waitresses. The all-American burger is very delicious! If you ask me or if you want to try agood burger order that and you will be so delighted you did! The menu is full of great food and great alcoholic beverages as well as appetizers and yes the waiters and waitresses quiz you on the movie just to kill time but hey that’s a lot of fun then sitting there twiddling your thumbs waiting for your food… especially if you’ve seen the movie you can try to outsmart them!

I normally like Bubba Gumps but this was a mixed experience. The waitress was very friendly and efficient, but the food left some things to desire. We love going to this place because of the setting. There is a large covered deck overlooking the river. You can sit there have a few drinks, and watch the river flow by. You can watch the steady flow of people, boats, and ski dos. It was in the afternoon when we went and very hot. But they have fans with misters to help keep things a little cooler. My wife had the Cajun shrimp which she enjoyed. It was overall satisfactory. We would have liked to rave about it, but in reality it was just slightly«above average». I had the steamed shellfish bucket. Here is the odd part. Some of the items were good, some not. There was big crab claw which had the taste and consistency of sawdust. Horrible. The muscles were tough and chewy. However, the shrimp and clams were great. It should have been called the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde bucket. It is also very expensive for what you get. My advice would be to go there, order a couple of drinks and take in the river view. If you eat, get the standard stuff such as fried or steamed shrimp. Goodluck.

On my trip to San Fran, my friends and I came to this place to get the city’s famous claim chowder, try some seafood, and get buzzed. We accomplished all three of those things at Bubba Gump’s. We got a sweet table with an amazing view of the ocean. Our server named David gave us an amazing dining experience. He conversed with us so well and gave us the popular Forrest Gump Trivia game with so much enthusiasm that we had a blast. The claim chowder was delicious though I felt something was missing from it. The Shrimp Heaven we shared was a bit mediocre to be honest. The grilled shrimp was good but the fried shrimps were terrible. I also ordered mashed potatoes which weren’t spectacular at all. I ordered a blue Hawaiian which was delicious and made me buzzed perfectly. All in all this place gave me an amazing fisherman’s wharf experience. Pros: — Service is incredible for us and I want to give a shout out to David(black guy with the amazing smile). However some people around for us had bad server experiences with their person. — Clay chowder was good but did need some extra flare — Drinks were great. I recommend the Blue Hawaiian — BEAUTIFUL location and views Cons: — it is very pricey but that’s to be expected(they do charge surcharge and gratuity so be prepared) — other food ordered was medicocre

I love love love the movie Forrest Gump, I have probably seen the movie close to a hundred times. So somehow that obligates me to come to Bubba Gump Shrimp Co 1 – 2 times a year. I get nostalgic with all the Forrest Gump memorabilia and decorations on the wall. I always order the«I’m Stuffed» Shrimp, it consists of shrimp stuffed with crab baked in garlic butter. I have eaten it many many times and I have never been disappointed by it despite its high price point. The Caesar salad is dismal though because the lettuce is wilted and yellow. It’s honestly seen better days… If possible, try to get a table next to the window because it overlooks the water. I like that the servers here do the trivia game too but I just wish that they gave away small little prizes if you answer all the questions correctly. Bubba Gump Shrimp Co is probably a 4⁄5 in terms of tourist trap in the Fisherman’s Wharf, but it’s nice to be a tourist sometimes in your own city!

The sign says it’s at the end of the pier but if you’re not paying attention, you might not find it right away, like I didn’t, haha. Anyway you’ll find it upstairs from the player sports bar and grill. See if you can get seated on the far side of the restaurant; it has a nice view of Alcatraz island. Typical bubba gump chain restaurant, but with a view. Actual reason I ate here was to validate a bunch of parking tickets hehehehe. Had the chowder and house salad. Service was good — this place gets PACKED for lunch. Prob because of previously mentioned view… and maybe cuz everywhere gets packed at lunch here. Prob harder to get a nice view table if you come late tho so if you want that view, heat the rush. Parking — park at the pier 39 structure and get an hour validated parking at this restaurant… you get two hours after 6pm.

Went here for Mother’s Day and it was pretty packed. We came here right at 5:15pm and our wait was 45 min according to the paper they give you. They were running a little behind so we waited another 15 min. After they called us, you still wait in another line to get seated! Wow! The restaurant is pretty huge so it seats a lot of folks. I wish we could have gotten the window seats to see the view as it was not foggy this time. =) We sat down and I saw a couple of tables empty but still with dirty dishes from previous customers. A little unorganized to me. =(Staff was friendly though. All the drinks we ordered were good. We got the drinks where you keep the glasses. We ordered: Crab stuffed mushrooms was good. Garlic bread — was buttered garlic flavored but not worth $ 5.50. Seafood pasta — It was cooked pretty well with lots of sauce and it was tasty. I thought it was bigger with more seafood for $ 20? Lt Dan’s tilapia with lobster sauce — this was good. The fish was cooked just right with a little crispness on the edges. The mashed potatoes was freshly mashed real red potatoes but the only thing it was lacking more lobster sauce! I wouldn’t price this dish at $ 20? Bourbon mahi mahi — had no flavor… the prawns were shrimp! Lol Hella small! $ 20 though? Salmon with veggies — was dry and no flavor. The veggies were aldante! Not worth it. My son got a burger with BBQ sauce but it was more bun then burger. The fries were good. I think the place is more touristy than anything and the dishes were overpriced as well as the drinks. My rating would have been a little less than three stars. This was my second time here and I will have to be in a good mood to wait for my meal or have a little extra cash to spend. =)

Also wer nach san Francisco kommt, muss unbedingt ins Bubba Gump Shrimp gehen.

Hier muss man ohne Reservierung doch lange warten. Einmal gekochte Shrimps, einmal gebratene in 2 verschiedenen Soßen.
