Brian Lyttle, DC

I have been seeing Brian for eons on an as needed basis. He has always been happy to fit me into his existing schedule. He practices holistic chiropractic, so no need for X-​rays and undressing. He listens really well and uses his extensive knowledge to my problem areas. He also advises on better mechanical practices such as exercises to do to alleviate the need to see him altogether. He and Ricky are super nice, approachable and the services are extremely reasonable!

Doctor Brian has saved my muscles and tendons from some of the dumb stuff that I do to my body. I starting seeing Dr. Brian when I was in a fender bender about 10 or so years ago. I had never been to a chiro before then and I wasn’t aware of how improperly I was caring for my body, muscles and back, while training for triathlons, working as an EMT, rehabing injuries, daily have-​to-​do jobs or activities like bending down to clean the stupid cat litter. (DO NOT bend at the waist — BEND with your KNEES.) Dr. Brian has taught me a lot, helped me so much, and he’s also a really amazing person. The whole combination makes me want more stars to fill.

Hi — I appreciate the reply by Dr. Lyttle. I truly do. But the biggest issue here is not the service, it is the price and the lack of communication of that price. In the end the bill for the work on my shoulder was about 250, and I had to pay 110 of that out of pocket after my insurance paid the difference. Now compare that to the chiropractor I just saw down the street under the same insurance and for the same issue and it cost me only 24 out of pocket, and the treatment was great. Why the huge difference in price?

Brian and his group are just great and professional! Location is perfect and easy to find. Recently I was in pain all day at work and Dr. Lyttle took me in the busy schedule without me having an appointment! A friend recommend him years ago and so far he has taking care of my back very well :) Also check out the other Alternative Practitioners working in the clinic, great people, great team!

Brian is one of those practitioners that you want everyone you have ever met to go and see.
He is not only super talented however he is a totally cool person. He is got to be one of the best Chiros in Sf if not the best and I have been to way too many.
If you want to stop your search or your bouncing around from one to another never sure where you can just call and get in and get fixed and not be charged a lot nor talked into some monthly BS plan… this is your guy.

When I joined my current health insurance plan three years ago, I tried to get Dr. Brian Lyttle as my primary health care physician. That is how strongly I feel about his abilities.
Dr. Lyttle is an extraordinary healer because he is both knowledgeable and personable. When I first found him, some fifteen years ago or more, he was my first chiropractic appointment ever. Needless to say, I was a bit nervous. This doctor won me over right away. He explained gently. He made me laugh! He gave me all of the facts I needed. And I felt better.
After a session or two, he explained that my hips were out of alignment, probably due to the chair I was sitting on. I thought about my office chair, which I sat in over 40 hours a week, and I thought how solid it was, and couldn’t figure it out. But the hip issue kept happening, and I went back several times for adjustments. He gently reminded me that there was some place I was sitting that was uneven. Then one day, I felt something odd in the easy chair at my apartment, and what did I find hidden inside? On one half, the screw had come loose under my hip. The exact same hip that Dr. Brian was telling me was slipping down. What a gift it was to understand what was going on with my body! I’ve been amazed at that ever since, and I’ve told that story to so many friends as I’ve recommended Dr. Lyttle’s practice.
Over the years I’ve seen two other chiropractors on two other occassions, for urgent care when either Dr. Brian or I were out of town. I can tell you from experience that Dr. Brian is the best. All of these reasons are why, for the last decade and a half, he is the caregiver I’ve turned to time and again.

Why doesn’t this place have more reviews/​ratings? It’s one of the best chiropractic centers I’ve been to. Brian is really knowledgeable and seems to have a ton of experience, he takes the time to explain things (& answer my annoying q’s), and on top of that he’s really friendly — which helps put me at ease when he’s doing some of the tough moves on me. I go into the office feeling kinks in my back, and when I leave I notice the kinks have already started dissipating. I can’t stop going. I’m addicted. Because it actually works.

A great opportunity to tell everyone how amazing he is!
He REALLY knows what he is doing.
I have been seeing him for about 5 years on and off, whenever I need a re-​alignment.
He is SO funny! He seems like he gets younger everytime I go in there.
So anyways, I highly recommend him if you want someone who knows what he is doing, at the same time as being entertaining and loving. I always feel good walking out of there.

My regular chiropractor was out of town and I was having some awful symptoms. Dr. Lyttle was recommended to me by a friend, and I’m so glad. I was in so much pain when I went in! But Dr. Lyttle took his time and did all of the necessary adjustments. He did a thorough exam and explained to me everything he was doing. His professionalism and kindness helped me to feel more comfortable throughout the process. I am now feeling much better!

brian lyttle is a truly amazing chiropractor. a friend recommended him to me after a charlatan on valencia street had botched up my neck. i was very leery of using a chiropractor who made manual adjustments, as i had been treated for the previous ten years by one who used an activator.
brian was very receptive to my fears, and addressed them with precise information accompanied by drawings on a blackboard. he massaged my neck and shoulders and performed active release therapy on the area while explaining what he was doing and why. i was terrified at the idea of having my neck cracked, but i trusted him.
brian has a rare talent for getting people ‘out of their heads’ just long enough for them to go totally slack, and then, crack! there goes the joint! for example, he asked me what color i would paint an elephant’s toenails, and while i was thinking ‘huh?!?’ he popped my neck. i felt not a scintilla of pain, but what relief!
from time to time, a spasm is so painful that my brain won’t let him make the adjustment. in that case, he backs off and uses the activator. he never forces treatment. his touch is extremely gentle.
i would never let anyone else touch my neck. if brian were to leave san francisco, i would mourn for a long time. he’s an incredibly gifted healer: warm, funny, compassionate and delightfully funny. and cute, too!
i’ve been going to him for ten years. i recommend him without hesitation.
