It’s bad enough the quality of the pizza has gone down but get this, the pothead worker tried to serve me old ass pizza. I ordered a slice of pep.(a fresh pie came out the oven) but since my son ordered another kind that was cold, it required for them to heat it up. They took the two last of the old pep. pizza and decided to throw them in the oven and give it to me. I watched the whole thing. They gave all these other customers fresh pieces and then going to try and pass that nasty ass dried up piece to me… wtf?! Yeah, he was high! Not to mention his retarded ass forgot our order cause the girl had to remind him. His response was. OHYEAH, HUH, HAHA… The slices are a lot more skimpier and it’s real shitty. I could have went to little Caesars had I known what a crappy place this has become. It’s only convenient but the food is shit. FYI, If you want pizza, this is not the place to go to

I love blondie’s! I always have. Growing up in Emeryville, I would always grab a slice from the Berkeley location.

I feel like the pizza quality has went down over the years… I never come here on my own anymore, only when my friends wanna eat here. The pizza is just ok. Nothing fantastic. The line can get reeeaalllllyyyy long throughout the day too. I usually get a slice of the vegetarian pizza and sometimes ill try one of the other specials of the day. Long story short im really over Blondies Pizza and wish they would step up their pizza game.

Blondie’s Pizza will always have a special place in my heart. I’ve been eating their pizza for well over a decade and it’s always good. Of course, it’s always overpriced but especially at this location I guess it has to be. It feels so dirty inside, especially in the downstairs dining area, but it wouldn’t be characteristic downtown San Francisco without this vibe. Beware they charge you for ranch(but it’s so necessary).

I always forgo this spot because it is usually packed with tourists. On an unusually cold and rainy day, I wanted to get out of the rain so I ducked in and bought 2 slices of pepperoni and a glass bottle of coke. I rarely have pizza in SF and when I do I am usually disappointed. This was as good as any slice I’ve had in SF, I would recommend. As far as the freshness factor, these guys move TONS of pies in a reasonably fair amount of time. The pizza was fresh enough. In my opinion they are doing the best the can to serve all the trolley oglers. Give em a break!

Definitely not thin. Not me… the pizza. Very cheesy. Again, not me… the pizza. The crust is medium although on the phone they said thin. The pizza is decent. Its good for a grab a slice and go pizza place.

Despite the dreadful review, I shall return to Blonde’s. A lot of concerns similar to last review. Got the pepperoni special. You get a small soda. Like really small. Here is a reason the small soda is a problem When you used to order a slice, they would give you a slice right off the cutting board. now they take the slice and reheat it, drying it out like crazy. After getting instant cottonmouth, you realize you have a tiny brokedick little soda. It made me sad. And thirsty. This place was the shit like 10 years ago. Bummer.

We had the medium sized Carnivore pizza. It was an excellent pizza on good dough! Love the chewy and tastiness.

Back in college I used to LOVE Blondie’s but that was years ago and from the other reviews time has taken it’s toll. Tonight they were so off their game they make Kaepernick’s season look good. Stopped in for the daily special which is their version of a deep dish slice and the slice I got wasn’t even close to a deep dish. The«deep» dish was a combo slice with at least an entire small can of Italian Stewed tomatoes spread on top. Instead of their signature soft crust, it had dense crust that was tough on the bottom and top of the crust edge but doughy inside. On the plus side, the stiff crust made it easy to hold the slice but there was no way I could eat it and half way through I had to pick off the big chunks of stewed tomatoes. 2 stars for the quick service.

WHOOPS! Chose wrong Blondie’s, I was at the Telegraph one in Berkeley. Standing in Blondies, listening to Madonna, drinking a bottled real sugar Mt. Dew, can it get any better then this? Fuck yeah! My memories go back to college days at SSU, visiting my brosef in Berkeley, hitting up Tower Records or Ameoba Records. Thick slices, that you cant fold like a taco, in New York! Fuck yeah!

Holy Crap! Today is the EXACT date Marty and Doc programmed the DeLorean time machine to go into the future. I kinda feel the same way after stopping by this classic classic spot in SF to grab a slice of pizza. I can recall, maybe 10 years ago? Perhaps 15? Blondie’s was THESPOT for pizza. I can recall waiting in a long ass line out the door to buy a slice. Once you had the slice, you had to wait even longer for a spot at the stand up bar or a table to open up to eat. Half the time, I gave up and strolled down Market with slice, chomping down every few steps. Kinda of hard to do, but worth it. Okay, fast forward a decade or so, and times, they have a’ changed. The building and location are the exact same. Same large silver counter where you order, same stand up bar with far fewer shake cans of parm cheese, oregano, and hot peppers. Same downstairs dining area with little tables and the trippy art-y staircase fitted with odd sculptures and such. The only thing different is the place is EMPTY. I was honestly, the SOLE customer here for the lunch crowd today. No one else, just me and a lady at the counter. How is this possible? This place would have been packed to the gills back in the day. Was it under new ownership? New cooks? Was there something I missed, like an important email telling me not to go there? Was it the price of a «special» these days? As I recall, back then it was only $ 2.50, and that was for a slice and a small drink. Today I paid $ 3.90 and that did not include drink. I ordered a slice of the special, which was odd. It seems that ALL the different varieties were available at the«special» price. I dunno, doesn’t that make calling it a «special» an oxymoron? Anyways, I ordered a pesto chicken slice. They also had a veggie, pepperoni, and combo available as a «special». I waited on the empty counter as the lady warmed up my slice in the oven, I still had trouble wrapping my noggin’ around this one. How could this be the same place that had KICKASS pizza with people waiting outside on the sidewalk to come in an get a slice? Wow. My slice was ready, and for old time’s sake, I devoured it right there on the bar. It was as I remember, thinner crust with a good chew, lots of toppings without being overly heavy. Call me crazy, but the flavor itself brought back memories of coming here to eat. The pizza, in my opinion, is the same as it always was. Blondies gets 3 outta 5 stars from me. It was good, but far from the stellar slices I’ve had at other places. Maybe that in itself is the reason why Blondie’s is like a ghost town these days? There are so many other great spots to get pizza. Not only that, but you can get gourmet organic free range artisan pizzas these days. Maybe Blondie’s was so popular back in the day simply because there weren’t many options? I recall that there was a major feud between Blondie’s and Fat Slice out in the East Bay. I’ve always stuck up for Blondie’s, saying that their pie was infinitely better than Fat Slice’s. Could this mean I was wrong all these years? Call me nostalgic, but coming back here for a slice was cool, and doing it on the exact day that Marty zapped himself into the future makes it even cooler.

Have to say, spend five days in San Francisco and pizza from Blondie’s was one of the best things. There is various choices of pizza already, and you can create your own as well. I have wait sometime time for my pizza(peak hours) but was worth it. Awnser is simple: If you like pizza, this is place you need to go in SF.

Blondie’s looks like a super hip pizza joint smack dab in the middle of Union Square. It’s a two story restaurant. You order upstairs and seat yourselves downstairs. I’ve been here once before, but that was years ago. From what I remembered, the pizza was mediocre; after this recent visit, I still think it is mediocre. The best part is the crust. It’s more bread like in its texture and thickness, if that makes sense. The customer service is decent — not super welcoming, but good enough for me to have no complaints. I only came here because I was starving and was too tired to continue walking to find another place to eat. I may or may not return. Stay tuned to find out =P

Came to Blondie’s during a trip to SF. It is located near Union Square as well the Powell BART station. I ordered their cheese and meat and veggie pizza. I actually liked their cheese pizza better — the crust was thin and crispy and the cheese was warm and stringy. The meat and veggie pizza might have too much going on because I could barely appreciate the crust and cheese. All in all, pretty good pizza. I would definitely try their other toppings.

Okay so we were on the verge of getting back to the car and we were walking down post avenue and smelt some incredible cheese! And there on the right was BLONDIES. Although when we first walked in there wasn’t any seating(available downstairs which we didn’t want to walk). I ordered a chicken pesto slice and my other half ordered a cheese pizza. The first bite was so awesomely greasy and cheesy and packed full of flavor. I can literally still taste the basil and roasted chicken lying down in my hotel. This was sort of out of the blue and something we had never looked at reviews yet and it was a great choice. It’s cheap, cheesy, and consumptive!

Pizza = equivalent of a mediocre pizza in New York. Service = inexperienced and easily agitated with a line of only 8 people. Not even worth anymore character bytes.

Pizza! We needed to have something quick on our way to a show at the Orpheum and stopped here. I had one of their specials — a chicken and asparagus slice of pizza. They have most of their popular pizzas out in front and after you order, if it hadn’t just come out of the oven, they’ll offer to heat it up for you. Most people come here for a slice and turnover may not be great if it’s not busy. Luckily mine was hot already so I was able to scarf it down immediately. It was delicious. Also portion wise, it’s huge, almost two slices. I was debating if one slice would be enough and after it came out, I was glad I only got the one at first. It’s enough to fill you up but I was hungry about 4 hours later. But I think 2 slices would’ve been overkill. Also don’t forget the powdered garlic they keep up by the cash register to sprinkle over your pizza. Mmm, delicious.

You know I like blondes right? You know that’s my type right? That’s why it’s fitting that this should be my go to pizza place when I’m downtown. I know some people hate this place, and others like me love it, and there are still others that are in-between. I’m not saying that the crust here isn’t thick, and I’m not saying that you won’t find crack addicts and homeless people trying to steal your slice of pizza. And I’m not saying that the service isn’t hit or miss. What I’m saying is for about $ 5 you can get a thick slice of pizza and a soda and for downtown, that’s reasonable. I think the pizza is decent. I’m a fan of their pepperoni. Sure it’s greasy, but it’s pizza right? We’re not talking about a slice of cake! It’s suppose to be greasy! I’ve also had their daily combos, which range from pesto chicken, to veggie, to meat meat meat. All are decent. I’ve been going here ever since I was a teenager, and for me this is like my In and Out of the Pizza World. It’s decent, hot, and comforting. Almost like a blond, no?

Really not much to say about Blondie’s. Sounds like it once was a really good pizza joint but not much anymore. The food was bland and the eating area was in poor and rough condition. The bathrooms were pretty run down, which honestly isn’t too surprising considering it’s location. I’ll end it there. If you want good pizza, look elsewhere.
