My team booked Blast Digital+Studio for a two-day photo shoot over a weekend in December and had a great experience. From initial contact with the studio to follow-up emails and questions after the shoot, Victor was super responsive and absolute pleasure to work with. Having never been to San Francisco and coordinating everything from Washington, DC, Victor was extremely helpful during our planning process by answering all of our questions in a timely manner and providing recommendations for local catering and support needed for our shoot. When we arrived in San Francisco and finally got to see the space in person, our team and client was very impressed. The space is large, very modern and well kept and the kitchen and bathrooms are gorgeous. We hosted a good number of people during the shoot and the studio had everything we needed(tables/tablecloths, chairs, garment racks, equipment, Wi-Fi, etc.) to set up the space in a way that was welcoming and comfortable for everyone involved. Throughout the entire weekend, Victor was just as responsive and made sure we had everything we needed for a successful shoot each day. I would highly recommend Blast Digital+Studio to anyone looking for studio space in the Bay Area. Great space — great customer service — and the fully stocked refrigerator with a large selection of complimentary beverages was a really nice amenity!

Clean, Professional, and a Top-Notch Studio We shot a 3-day vehicle shoot at Blast Studio a couple weeks back and we were blown away by their hospitality and conveniences. Victor, Laura, and Michael were super helpful in the lead-up and through the actual shoot days The studio itself is very well equipped with a treasure-trove of rentable equipment(ProFoto, Canon, Grip, Apple). The actual décor and attention to detail within the space is flawless. It seems that they have literally thought about every item a photographer and support crew would need. From the beautiful bathroom, to the gourmet kitchen, and lofted lookout space, Blast has done a great job. Our client was super impressed. We also LOVE the fully stocked fridge with complimentary Red Bulls, soft drinks, and waters. Parking is also plentiful and free. We will definitely be shooting here again. — Gamma Nine Photography

I’ve had the privilege of working at Blast Digital Studio a few times. I must say, their facilities and service are top notch. A lot of their information is on their website, but let me try to add some color to the experience. Location: Blast Digital Studios is just off the 101 and Bayshore in the produce district just south of the Dogpatch and Potrero Hill, it may not be in the immediate vicinity of other photo studios, but it’s just as convenient, if not more. Parking is plentiful right in the industrial business park it’s located in. There is need to search for street parking or lookout for street cleaning. You’re all taken care of there. Inside: The studio has drive-in access with very tall(20′+) ceilings in the main shooting area. Concrete floors allow for stability for sets sensitive to movement, or durability in case you need to build on it. There is no daylight in the shooting area, which gives great lighting control. However, if daylight is what you’re looking for, you’ll need to try elsewhere. On the side opposite of the equipment storage is a lit wall of tables and mirrors for your models and makeup artists. Their kitchen is clean and modern, and the fridge is FULLYSTOCKED with complimentary soft drinks, Vitamin Waters, and Smart Waters to keep you refreshed and hydrated. For all of you that keep it green, they have a filter tap to fill your own water bottle. A Jura espresso/coffee machine is stocked and available to provide boost for you all day. It’s the best stocked complimentary kitchen I have ever seen in a photo studio. There are two bathrooms. One upstairs and one downstairs. The only caveat is that the shower is upstairs. The upstairs mezzanine is comfortable and allows a view of the action if you don’t need to be in the mix of things. Equipment: From the latest Profoto, Canon, and Apple computers, all their rental equipment is well-maintained, and properly functioning. It’s seriously turnkey as you can rest assured that everything you get from them will function as it should. If you’re in need of specific gear(maybe you prefer Broncolor?) or additional expendables, they can provide that or source it from their partners for you and bring it right to the studio. My only quip is that I wish they had all Matthews C-stands instead of the mix they have. However, their grip is in working order, and that’s enough to trump my preferences. Staff: Once you book the space, it doesn’t end there. Mercedes(the studio manager) is available to care for your needs throughout your shoot. Need Phase One Certified digital techs? They have them on their roster, as well. Scale: First Impressions: 5 Bright, clean, comfortable, modern. It’s just freakin’ cool to walk into the space. Value: 5 The price is on par for most comparable rental studios in the city. However, I think you get much more. My favorite part is the fully stocked fridge(it’s the little things… really :)). Execution: 5 Victor and his crew have a class act at Blast. Free parking, comfortable amenities, prime equipment, and attentive staff will make for an amazing experience for you and your clients. Overall: 5 If you’re looking for a worry-free experience for your photoshoot, look no further!
