Ian is the best! We have large Golden Arawana at our shop. Not many people know what these are, let alone care for them. Ian does and has for the last 6+ years. He has dealt with one of the shop owners overfeeding and fouling the tank multiple times, making him very sick. Ian knows just how to handle it, without overmedicating (or medicating at all in most cases). He is very professional and friendly and knows his stuff. He handles huge salt water tanks too. We are very lucky to have him!!!

I can’t say enough great things about Ian from Bay Marine. My tank is not an easy tank to maintain. It’s a large SPS heavy tank with about $ 10k+ invested in it. I’m a sucker who’s bought way too much overpriced coral, zoas and livestock which have been doing wonderfully well under Ian’s care.
I travel a ton for work – on average I’m gone 2 weeks out of every month. As anyone who’s familiar with SPS tanks knows, that is a recipe for disaster. Luckily I have someone as knowledgeable as Ian taking care of it while I’m gone so I never worry.
In addition to doing bi-​weekly water changes, media changes, and cleaning my sump, he also has helped me when things have broken when I’m not around to take care of it myself. Once my heater failed while I was out of town, and Ian went out and bought me a new one, and replaced it. He also caught a really bad situation where a filter sock of mine was overflowing which lead to about 30 gallons of water on my floor. Again, I was out of town and he handled it. That would have been a total disaster had I not had someone as responsible as Ian around.
I trust him with anything salt water related. I have a complex system and top of the line SPS, and I never worry an ounce with Ian around.
