I LOVE LOVE L-​O-​V-​E Antonio. There. I said it.
I am a natural dark ash blonde and have found in Antonio the perfect way to bring my locks to life! I’ve been loyal to him for every cut and color for the past 3+ years, and always love to refer him to other blondes.
I’ve experimented with highlights, highlights + base lift, lowlights, and most recently ombré, and left every single appointment feeling like a million bucks.
His pricing is totally fair compared to what else I’ve seen in the city (I pay $ 150 + tip for the works each time) and he really knows his stuff. He also accepts appointments via text, and will definitely be honest about what does/doesn’t work with your skin tone or hair. My recommendation is to browse Pinterest for a few ideas, but to go in with an open mind and let him work his magic.

I have been going to Antonio for the past couple years for my cuts. Things started off great. He listened to what I asked for and threw in his expertise. Couldn’t get better than that. However, the past couple cuts have made me think twice about going back again. He stopped putting the same amount of care into my cuts. For example, I have the type of hair that you cannot thin out with a razor because the ends will immediately become frayed and start to split. Initially he took the time to use scissors to layer the ends but the last few cuts he used the razor regardless of my asking him not to. The result, my hair looked like i needed a cut right after I got one. My final visit sent me searching for a new stylist. The day after my hair cut when I washed and styled my own hair I realized the length was extremely uneven in the back, some pieces an in longer than others. Since it was the back of my hair, it was not a situation I could remedy on my own. It was a Saturday and I called Antonio and asked when is the soonest I can drop by so he can quickly take care of that. He said Wednesday…5 days later!!! It would have taken him less than 5 minutes to fix a cut that he messed up in the first place. I wasn’t expecting an apology but what I do expect from my stylist is that they take pride in their work and if they make a mistake to care enough to fix it as soon as possible. Antonio is a nice guy and he is a good stylist when he wants to be, but it isn’t something you can count on regularly.

I’ve been seeing Antonio for over a year and have nothing but amazing things to say about him! I always receive many compliments on his cuts and my layers.
While I’ve never had a dye job done by him (I would but I haven’t colored my hair in over 5 years) I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about his quality of work from other friends.
He is amazing to chat with, does quality work and extremely kind! I highly recommend him!

My whole family, mom, dad, daughter, all go to Antonio. He always does an exceptional job on each of us. We have always been thrilled by our haircuts, and compared to other salons that I have been to Antonio does a much better job for less money, a fantastic and chic cut by a very talented stylist is what you will get. He is also the sweetest and funniest person, everyone should go to Antonio!

Antonio has the Midas touch. He works golden blonde highlights back into my hair that look as natural as they were when I swam 4 hours a day and surfed 5 times a week. And that’s just the beginning. He cuts dimension and movement into my fine-​stranded, long locks and blow dries them into Hollywood starlet perfection.
From color, to cut, to blow dry, you will not find a more talented, fair priced, amazingly down-​to-​earth and sweethearted stylist. I was ushered into the salon by an old Unilocal coworker (I think he now commands the hair of half the staff) and while I’d love to keep him our little secret, I simply can’t. He’s like a high-​end European salon — you know, the *specialists*: the color specialist, the wash specialist, the cut specialist, the blow-​dry specialist, the hot-​towel-​to-​your-​face-​may-​I-​bring-​you-​some-​more-​champagne? specialist — all rolled into one (plus assistant, because yeah, he’s a badass resident hair extraordinaire teacher, too).
God help me if I ever move from San Francisco; I’ll either have to pack him up in my suitcase and take him with me overseas or fly back home every quarter to have him cast his magic upon my crown.
So do yourself a favor. Go see Antonio. He’s worth his weight in gold.

Antonio has been cutting my hair and cutting and coloring my wife’s for many years. I have short brown hair (well, a little gray too, but Antonio fixes that) and my wife has long blond hair (well, a little. .. oops. .. . well…). Antonio is as masterful with color as everyone says, but for me the important part is the cut. Anyone can cut a guy’s short hair and have it look good when he leaves the salon.
