Hair By Oanh

I’ve been going to Oanh every 3 months for the past year. She is a total doll and does an amazing job on cutting and highlighting my hair (very long, thick, Asian hair). She’s also a mind reader/​visionary because every time I see her I just say, «ummm I’m not sure. Whatever you think will look good.» and every time my hair comes out looking fabulous. Pricing is very reasonable. Only downside is that I have to book about a month in advance, but that just goes to show you how many devoted customers she has!

I’m somewhat on the fence about giving her two stars. Honestly, her work is amazing, which is the only reason as to why I even bothered to give her two stars, but her customer service skills were lacking. For that reason alone, I’d never come back. The entire process was just awkward for me. She was sweet initially, but my session with her kept going downhill. I realize I have thick hair, but it’s unprofessional for me to hear a complaint over how much hair I have almost every other five damn minutes. She was already charging me extra for the extra work she had to put in, so I don’t see the problem. I literally apologized to her multiple times over the thickness of my hair. I shouldn’t have to do that. Why should I be made to feel guilty over having thick hair? To think, I even tipped her for making me feel bad, lol. It’s just stupid.

I just had my first haircut with Oanh yesterday at Sola Salon Studio in San Dimas. I had my hair washed, cut about 5 inches from my hair, and blow dryed straight. I really liked how it came out. I have long layers and the ends are really healthy now. I especially liked how quick she was. I was in and out in about 45 minutes! I definitely enjoyed my haircut and will be returning every few months for a trim. The price was extremely affordable for a haircut. I highly recommend her. She is really nice and easy to talk to and doesn’t make the hair cutting experience scary at all.

I live an hour away from Flora Day Spa (where Oanh is). But I didn’t mind the drive at all! This is my 2^nd time coming to her. Make sure you follow the address/​directions she gives you because the address will take you to another place due to having same address on the other side of the freeway. Anyway, I found her through this girl in instagram. Her hair looks fab so I contacted Oanh right away via gmail. She gave me her price range which is absolutely affordable for the kind of work she does! My first time, she examined my hair, and told me that we need to do it gradually if I want the platinum blonde that I originally wanted to avoid the damage. So I agreed and it came out oh so nice! Everyone was complimenting me on my hair. After 2 months, I did another appointment and this time went in to get it lighter. I absolutely love her attitude because she makes you feel comfortable and talks to you while she’s doing your hair. She also plays really good music. Anyway, I don’t see myself going to another hairstylist anytime soon! I have found the «Oanh» ;) make sure you bring cash because if you pay by card, you’ll have to pay 3% more. And oh don’t be late because it sets her back to her other appointment. Took me a month to get a place so you should book her sooner if you can :) she works with your schedule and I love the fact that I could also text her anytime. :)

I found Oanh when my friend posted pictures after her appt. with her. You see I tried going the DIY ombré route and ended looking like a hot mess. I hadn’t cut my hair in a while, and my hair was brassy.
I came in with pictures of what I wanted to achieve and like what everyone else said Oanh told me what would look best and what steps needed to be taken.
I left loving my new hair, so shiny and silky. I’ve since become a loyal client and will never let ANYONE but Oanh touch my hair again.

I was lucky to have some friends who knew Oanh that recommend me to her & I AM SO THANKFUL THEY DID!
I drive an hour and some change from SFV/​Ventura county to West Covina and it is worth it EVERY single time. I highly recommend Oanh and now I finally have found someone I absolutely trust with my hair.
My first time with Oanh was nerve wrecking, however, she makes you feel completely comfortable from the moment she meets you. I explained to her how light I wanted my hair to be and she explained how it will all take a process, but to be patient because my hair will thank me later. I’m glad I took the time to wait because my hair is at the color I’ve always wanted and healthy!
Like the previous review, she will let you know what looks good and what doesn’t, she doesn’t try to cheat you and is upfront and straightforward. And her prices are amazing and extremely affordable!

Oanh is definitely my go to girl for anything to do with hair… Long hair, short hair, style, and color she does a beautiful job every time.

). She is so sweet, and was very accommodating to my schedule, which was great because I don’t live in the area (anymore).
I normally have crazy hair anxiety, when it comes to getting my hair done, but I took my chances based on the pictures on her Instagram. First, Oanh is so sweet and is easy to talk to/​get along with when you’re getting your hair done. Second, she knows what she’s doing and does exactly what you ask her to. She is honest and tells you what would look good on you, but is very mindful of what her clients actually want.
I had a poorly blended ombré 2 years ago, so I was really nervous to lighten my hair at first. I ended up getting subtle balayage highlights & long layers ($ 130)…I love my hair now! Like I said, Oanh knows what she’s doing!

My sister and I both go to Oanh and have been so happy with our results every time. My sister found Oanh through her Instagram account. She’s located at Flora Day Spa. Very easy to get to from the freeway and there is tons of parking in the private lot. I live in Downey and I do not mind driving all the way to West Covina for an appointment with her.
Oanh is extremely friendly and easy to talk to while you’re getting your hair done. I will not trust anyone else but her to do my highlights. She doesn’t rush and is very thorough throughout the whole process. I just got my hair done with her today and I love it so much.
