Aloha Skin

While I’d had a facial before, I have never had a facial like this! The aquafacial is really soothing, and I could feel it cleansing as well as tightening my skin. Since I had just finished with finals, my skin was a complete disaster. Not only was I incredibly stressed out these last few weeks, but my diet had plummeted, I was getting little sleep, and hardly any exercise. The result was ruddy, broken out, itchy skin.
When you walk into the Aloha Skin you first notice how clean and shiny everything is. It is really comforting, since cleanliness is so important. The second thing you notice is how sweet and warm Rebecca is. She is incredibly relaxing and you feel at ease immediately.
Once comfortable, the experience begins! First you get some TLC while Rebecca assesses your skin, giving you a light massage. All of the products smell great and you’re instantly relaxed. Next, the aquafacial does its magic. Rebecca is very gentle and the entire experience is incredibly satisfying. Not only is the process painless, but it really feels great. I loved it! Next is the Murad mask, which you can feel tightening your skin. The best part is, instead of just being left alone while the mask sits, Rebecca massages your neck and shoulders. Finally, not only does your face get moisturized, but your lips too.
When you get ready to leave, you feel pampered, fresh, and glowing. Instead of leaving looking blotchy like from other facials where the esthetician goes crazy with the extractor, you leave looking like you spent the week at a day spa! Your skin is soft and smooth, an even color, my larger blemishes clearly reduced in size, and I looked visibly relaxed. Rebecca is very knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. You can easily converse with her or simply slip into a soothed silence. When you finally leave, you are given instructions for after care, as well as a few samples of the products she used on you. The whole experience is wonderful, especially if you’re in need of some pampering and relaxation on top of your skin care needs. My skin has never looked or felt better, I can’t wait to go back!

So, this was my very first facial… EVER. My skin has been through A LOT these last couple of months. I’ve been under a ton of stress, not eating well, and I have never been great at skin care. I’ve been noticong more and more how tired I look and my skin has been a hot mess.
Rebecca is a sweetheart. She is so warm and welcoming. Her space is IMMACULATE. Super important to me. She walked me through each step of the process. She was professional but still maintained her warmth. She made me feel at ease and comfortable. I barely noticed the extractions. And believe me, there were plenty. She has a very gentle and soothing touch.
When she was done, I took a look at my face and HOLY COW!!! I look like ME again! Plus a little glowy. I can’t wait till my next one. Seriously, she made my skin look so good she inspired me to maintain her work. All of a sudden I want to go to bed early. Lol. And this was just her regular facial! Next time, aquafacial! Can’t wait!
