I went to perm my hair and cut it all off. I was dreading the cutting part as I don’t usually like short hair, but Deborah actually did a great job. I wasn’t planning on wearing it short, but everyone loves it so I have been. She’s very friendly and I wish I were here permanently so that I could return.

I was looking for a Hairstylist that did natural hair and styles and it took me a couple of weeks but I found her De’Borah. She is awesome not only can she do the hair but she also is about keeping your hair healthy and that is an A+ in my book. She does it all natural or not so check her out San Diego

I made an appointment with Duborra to get a flat iron or straightening service. She helped me understand how to take care of my natural hair. However, To my surprise she cancelled my appointment with her because I use to be a friend to someone that she is still friends with. I found it to be unprofessional and immature to cancel my appointment because her friend and I amicably ended a twenty year friendship years ago. If you are looking for a professional stylist, I would not recommend this salon. It’s more like high school. San Diego is a very small city with a limited amount of black hair care professionals. Many people know each other here in this town. Not a business to deal with. She ended up saying that what happened between he friend and I in the past was none of her business, she was right it wasn’t. But still she made it her business instead of running a salon business.

My experience at Xplicit was amazing and Deborah is a great stylist. The first thing that I appreciate was her acknowledging her clients when they came.
That is the number one thing I look for at a bussiness. She was so professional and was 100% honest about helping me with my hair and styling it.
She made me feel comfortable and had my hair looking gorgeous. I definitely would recommend her to anyone I know especially for girls with natural hair.

I’m new to Southern California and I was desperate to find a new stylist. I found Ms. Deborah online and decided to give her a shot based on reviews.
This was one of the best hair appointments I’ve ever had. We spoke on the phone for a bit. She asked questions to get an idea of my hair situation and assess my needs. She called the day before my appointment to confirm. These details are important because it speaks to her professionalism.
I got a wash, trim and flat iron. My hair never felt so soft and healthy after leaving an appointment! She used quality products on my hair and it’s very obvious.
She also gave me a thorough consultation about my hair’s health. I now know how to better care for my hair.
Her studio is comfortable, quiet and pleasant. I’m so glad I found her and I’m happy that I now have someone to help me care for my hair.

*Update*
I’ve now been comeing to Ms. D for just a little over ten yrs now. She is still the same wonderful, caring, and talented person then as she is now. In the last few years of my life I’ve have suffered from not one but two skin disorders one of which is in my scalp and most recently a blood disorder and treatment for that disorder. Ms. D has kept my hair in such a healthy condition no one would ever know. She is truly knowledgeable and amazing and cares for her clients. Passion isn’t something people always have for their profession, but she does. Thanks Ms. D for everything! :)

Mrs. DeBora is wonderful. She is very educated about all types of hair. She shared helpful information with me on going forward with my natural hair journey. She has not done my hair yet but I trust she will do an awesome job from just talking to her about my hair. She did recommend some hair products to start me out. So far the process has not been a month; So I’m still on a trial run with the products. Got to be patient right?

Mrs. De’Bora is simply the best! I came to her in a time of desperate need over a year ago, and i am glad that I did. She turned my sad, dry, dead hair into healthy, long and beautiful hair! I even came to her for an updo for my wedding! She knows her stuff and I would recommend her to anyone.

She’s such a wonderful person and amazing beautician. I stumbled across her online looking for natural hair care about a year ago and don’t know what I would do without her.
Not only does she make you look fabulous, she takes her time and gives you hair and skin care tips. She’s also easy to talk to and will have you giggling the whole time you’re there!
She caters to all hair types so no one is excluded! If you want perfection she will definitely give it to you!

I had just moved to San Diego from NY and was very nervous about finding a hair stylist that had experience with natural hair. I was somewhat nervous as this was my first hair appointment with a professional stylist since going natural 2 years ago. Everything from making my appointment to leaving the salon was a delight! Debora really made me feel comfortable putting my hair in her hands. She listens to your hair care needs and is very detailed in telling you every step she is taking during the process which is very important to me. On top of that she gives great hair analysis’ in which she tells you the state of your hair, recommended products to use, how to improve your hair care regimen, etc. I like to feel like person that matters when I enter a salon and that was my experience. Debora is very personable and I feel that is necessary when you are in the chair for 2+ hours! The studio is very intimate not loud and crowded. Her service was impeccable. I loved that she personally uses some of the products that she uses on clients and can give reasons as to why she uses them. I also loved that the products were top of the line products. She gave me an amazing cut and style and I could not be happier! I have been smiling since I left the salon. Also, her prices are very very reasonable!
Very happy to say that I have found my natural hair stylist here in San Diego!

De’Bora is fantastic, I wanted to get extensions cut into a Long Bob for my Undergraduate Graduation ceremony. The style and the cut were perfect I was very happy with her work. If I was still in San Diego I would definitely be frequenting her salon for all of my hair care needs.

Let me tell y’all. Ms D wasn’t playin’ yesterday in that blackout! She hooked up a sew in weave in record time and was it gorgeous or was it gorgeous??? De’Bora.you are truly gifted and blessed. All you needed was a little light some string, hair and those prepped needles, lol… you go girl. I’ll definitely be calling you soon to reschedule Ms. Jordy!!!
