Best Cheese ball rolls PERIOD! No one else can compete with them. Also, I was having a dinner party at the house. Last minute(2pm) my husbands wants me to add Menudo to the menu. I am calling all the Filipino Restaurants from PQ to Mira Mesa and only Valerio’s said they could do it and have it ready by 6pm. They needed by credit card and I happily paid for the order. All the other restaurants said they needed at least 24 hours notice, which I get and I will have to say THANKYOU to Valerio’s for coming through and not only did they come through, but it TASTED great too!

Valerio’s City Bakery has been an old time goodie for food, desserts, and pandesal bread! I called on Tuesday afternoon and placed an order for box of «cheeseballs» which was $ 11 for 22 pieces(basically 2 for a dollar) and told them I’d pick it up at 7:30 the next morning. I came yesterday morning and they were warm and ready on time on time for my pick up! They taste like pure goodness and I could munch on a bunch as this always makes my sweet tooth come out. I brought it for my coworker’s birthday and we all enjoyed it very much. especially those whom had never tried it before. Thanks Valerio’s! :))

If you’re coming in for the cheese balls, do it, because they are awesome. Pork buns were a little dry and lacking flavor. I’ve had better Filipino food elsewhere, but those cheese balls, they’re a seriously good reason to come back.

The other morning was my first time here. I got some baked pork bun and some cheese balls for a work function. Although, I can’t comment on the taste of cheese balls because it was gone before i know it hahah but the pork bun wasn’t bad. Although, I think the pork bun at Cristy’s is slightly better and more flavorful. Overall, I will be back. They open super early at 6am and I saw that they have Filipino breakfast served all day. Can I please have garlic rice for breakfast? Lol

Atmosphere: This is a normal filipino takeout place. a couple tables sit at, but most people order food and take the food home. Customer Service: The service is great. If you do not know how to speak filipino they speak english. They treat you with respect and are always friendly. Food: The food there is great. I go there mainly for the baked goods. If you want hot pandesal it is first come first serve. I mainly go there for the cheese rolls. They are so great. My co-workers always requests me to pick some up for the office. I highly recommend their baked products. Truthfully I have not tried their takeout food. They all look delish, but I would rather cook my own. I do hear a lot of good things about their food though. Price: The prices are great and very reasonable.

This is where everyone gets those cheese balls for family parties and potlucks. I also like the cheese rolls here with the sugar on top. So good! Be sure to order ahead if you need cheese balls for any occasion.

Cheeseballs cheeseballs watcha gonna do, watcha gonna do when they come for you, cheeseballs! Why did I just sing cheeseballs to the tune of «bad boys» you ask? Uhh because these cheeseballs are bad! But in a good way! As in they’re bomb dot com. Every time I spot these bad boys at a party or pot luck or on my kitchen counter I literally get heart eyes. In fact, I love these cheeseballs so much that one time about 2 miles away from Valerio’s someone comes up to me and asks me if I know where they can buy them. It’s like they saw the look of cheeseball love written all over my face. Once you’ve tried cheeseballs you’ll understand why! I can’t even begin to try to explain what’s so amazing about them. I guess it’s the way the dough is soft yet crunchy and sweet and the way the cheese in the middle adds fireworks to your mouth. It’s a sensation I can’t explain. They’re cheap too! And they almost always have them available. So what are you waiting for? Get down to Valerio’s for the magical cheeseballs. They truly are magical. I think you could make anyone fall in love with you with the gift of a cheeseball. But don’t quote me on that!

The Cheese rolls are delicious! We usually get a whole box. Tip: call to ask what time they bake the cheese rolls so you can pick them up fresh from the oven.

The only reason this place gets a star is for the cheese balls. They are the only place around here that make these. I’ve been sitting here for 35 minutes waiting for a box of cheese balls because they’re so damn disorganized and lost my order(made in person YESTERDAY). Took all this time and watching as other people come in and grab their boxes from same day phone orders. Don’t do orders from the day before — you’ll never leave. Better yet, just don’t come at all.

Coworkers had never had cheese balls before so I brought them here one day during lunch. They were AMAZING. My coworkers could not get over how good the cheese balls were and for only $ 0.60 each! We all live in the South Bay and I think one of them is planning on stopping by the National City location tonight on his way home to pick up more. Instead of the cheese ball, I had a cheese stick. I definitely like the cheese ball over the cheese stick. It’s $ 0.75, so $ 0,15 more, but I feel that I only need one cheese stick instead of two cheese balls to leave me feeling satisfied. The cheese stick also has some sugar on top, so it’s a little bit sweeter than the cheese balls. I’ve never had any of the food at the Mira Mesa or National City location, but their cheese balls and their fried banana desserts(I don’t know the proper name) were amazing! My friend said her banana dessert was a little greasy, but I didn’t think mine was greasy at all. It was very good.

I’ve been coming here since I was a little girl(as long as I can remember really!) Whenever I can’t get my grandma to make pancit or lumpia this is my go to place! The food is always really good, customer service isn’t the best but I’ve come to terms with it. Love getting fresh warm pandesal too! The last time I went I was really excited to see that they had Kinder chocolate, my favorite from when I lived in Germany! Nice to have one place to satisfy my lumpia and German chocolate cravings now :)

I have been coming here regularly to get their stir fry noodles. The food us so so. Not the best but it’s edible when I’m craving Asian noodles. Maybe 2.5 stars on the food. But the customer service, Zero star! That’s how horrible their service is. every time I go, The cashier lady always looks so pissed off, I really don’t understand why. How come you can be so angry at 630am? No smile at all and speaks under her breath, and always looks very impatient. hello, I’m paying you, you are not paying me. So be nicer please

CHEESEBALLS. DONE. We got 2 boxes. Do you know how good they taste in your mouth? So good. Satisfaction guaranteed. I like to heat them up in the oven a little bit so the cheese inside is a tad melted but you can eat them as is.

I wish there was a different place to get their delicious Cheeseballs because I honestly hate coming here. The customer service is bad at best. If you place an order ahead of time, don’t be even five minutes late because they will give it away as soon as someone wants it. What’s the point of even placing an order? I’m currently waiting 10 extra minutes for a box I ordered 20 minutes ago because they probably gave my order away to the lady who got there before me.

The only good item is to order fresh cheese balls. Don’t even bother with any other items. I typically order a box or 2 for parties since they’re fresh, easy to carry, easy to eat and fairly inexpensive. For about $ 10 you get about a dozen. Pre-order at least a day in advance especially during the holiday season, but I’ve called 15 mins before and a box was ready for me. Their customer service sucks, but I only interact with them when I call to order and when I pick up. Parking could be crazy since it shares a lot with Big Lots and Lucky Seafood. There are a couple 15 mins spaces out front for pick up.

Valerio’s will ALWAYS be my spot for great pan de sal. I’m always at the one in Carson. I was pleasantly surprised to run into one in San Diego. Sure enough, the pan de sal was hot and fresh. I bought a bag and ate one right away.
