My boyfriend and my last breakfast at San Diego and it didn’t disappoint. The padre wrap was delicious! Maybe we will come back one day.

Mediocre deli, but it was worth a try! The staff was all Asian(like me), and I’m guessing they were family owned. They just have your typical American deli sandwiches. Nothing unique here! Lol Chicken Caesar Wrap — Exactly what it sounds like. It was fresh and crisp and hit the spot. Tuna Sandy on Rye — Not bad, tuna was made that day. Fresh. *Good parking *Reasonably priced

Another one of their«unique» sandwiches, which is my favorite that I have every week, is the tuna delight. I have it on sourdough. Try it! You’ll probably either love it or not like it. It sounds strange, but it is great: Tuna salad sandwich with slices of yams, Havarti cheese, and a sweet sauce. Their service varied when they were trying to find a replacement host, but the current guy is great!

A nice deli located in an industrial park in Kearney Mesa. Staff is friendly and they have plenty of tables inside. The sandwiches are good and they have a large selection. They offer both fountain and bottled drinks. A nice place to have lunch away from the congestion of Convoy.

Great place with friendly staff. High quality cold cuts and they have seating and Wifi. I would suggest this place for a quick bite, they also have healthy solutions as well!

As sandwiches go Unique Deli is pretty standard. The bread was really soft and they offered just about everything you could possibly want on a sandwich. The staff was polite and the atmosphere typical of a deli. I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone in the neighborhood looking for a quick lunch.

Simple yet delicious. Fast and friendly serivce, or maybe thats because i order over the phone then pick up who knows. Bagel is always perfectly toasted– not too hard not too soft, bacon has been consistently crispy and plentiful and the veggies are fresh and crisp. Even distribution of cream cheese, which sounds basic but ive encountered delis that just slab it on there so you get chunks of cheese. This is not one of those places thankfully! Looks like a family owned and run shop and im all about supporting local businesses :)

This place is a cute hole in the wall! Right around the corner from home. My husband and and I decided to give it a try. Nothing impressive at all. The rolled chicken Sandwhich had no flavor. Tasted very plain, unless adding our own seasoning. It’s a cool little spot, but if the food isn’t great, we won’t be returning.

I went today on my lunch break and I barely beat the lunch rush because the place got packed QUICK. i ordered«the works» and it was choice of cheese, three meats, veggies, and avocado. I got bacon, chicken breast, turkey, and provalone, toasted on wheat. The sandwich was good i was definitely full afterwards but there was no avocado in the sandwich =(

Im from outta town and when ever I come to the area it’s for training for work. I don’t eat fast food so I’m usually limited to lunch options. I could eat here daily. They have a little bit of everything and it’s all very delicious and the portions are well worth the price.

I wanted to give this place a much better review, but I just can’t. They get my order wrong ALL the time. They charge me for special orders/items and then don’t give it to me. I ordered a sandwich whose emphasis was avocado, and they didn’t put on avocado. I added avocado to another sandwich and they charged me, but I got no avocado. The other day I ordered a bomb sandwich on squaw bread(which is the BEST thing ever when they make it right) but the person didn’t even confirm my order and then basically hung up on me after taking my name. When I got my sandwich there was no crème cheese on it — it had mozzarella. It’s supposed to come with crème cheese. Don’t you think you should mention that the entire emphasis of the sandwich, the crème cheese, is not available? But no, they just hung up after taking my order and didn’t tell me that they wouldn’t be making me the«Bomb», they just made some crap up which tasted dry and gross. The crème cheese makes that much of a difference. This place has awful service and will get your order wrong wrong wrong. When they make it right, it tastes incredible. But they don’t get it right very often. And someone else observed the bacon was soggy and limp. I’d have to agree, no crispy bacon available here. I wish the owner would see this and fix the problems. READ peoples orders back to them. TELLTHEM if you are out of something. GETORDERSRIGHT.

I ordered the Bomb sandwich(because it looked pretty good from one of the reviews a friend of mine posted; and she’s a foodie queen! I ordered mine with avocado,(and she wrote it down on the paper) but when I got home… dun dun dunnnn no avocado :/overall though the Bomb sandwich was da bomb without it as well! The customer service was… eh. Seemed like they didn’t really care or kinda sad to be there. Considering it was my first time ever there, I thought service would be pretty good. I guess it depends on the day, but still. But they did come out with my sandwich in a very convenient manner :) I’d give them a 3.5 if I could mostly because of the service, and they forgot my avocado after she wrote it down on the paper.

I wish I could give this deli a higher rating. They use high quality ingredients, and when they get your order right it is awesome. The problem is 9 times out of 10 it’s wrong. And not usually a little bit wrong, but my vegetarian sandwich that I order the same way every time often ends up with bacon or another meat. I work super close to the deli and there aren’t a lot of options. But it’s a pain to have to go back over to the deli after picking up Mine and coworkers lunch only to go back and wait again. And sometimes that order is wrong too. Never once do they offer to reimburse or anything… Barely an acknowledgment. Plus I’ve been forgotten on the phone more than once when calling in orders, which is a pain because they have a cordless phone and apparently forget about it’s existence. We do try to order food not during the busy time(11:30−12:30), but that is when people get their lunches. But if the food wasn’t good, and/or we had more options I doubt we would go back. But alas, when it’s good… It is better than good;) And if they could get it right, it would be a local favorite. some of my coworkers have completely given up. It’s too much of a pain to risk your whole lunch hour getting what u ordered.

There’s nothing really unique about this little deli. The service is good and prices are reasonable but the sandwiches are lacking some serious flavor. Three stars for the service and price.

I love that they use Boars Head’s high quality meat. The sandwiches always taste fresh and flavorful. You can create your own sandwich starting at $ 5.49. You can choose from selection of meat, bread/wrap, cheese, veggies and condiments. Each extra topping is anywhere from 30 cents to $ 2. They offer a lot of specialty sandwiches from BLTs to Chicken Clubs to Gyros. Specialty sandwiches range from $ 5.49-$ 6.99. There are breakfast options serving until 10:30am. Burritos, Muffins, Toast, Croissants, and Omelets. They also offer burgers, wraps, soup, salads, and bowls. BREADCHOICES: White, Sourdough, Wheat, Rye, Squaw, Pita, Italian & Kaiser Roll. My personal favorite is the BOMB sandwich which comes with roast beef, turkey, bacon, cream cheese and veggies. CUSTOMERSERVICE: 50⁄50 Half the time I come here service is friendly. The other half of the time, they have people working who could care less about anything.

I frequent this place a lot out of convenience, otherwise I would never go here it seems like what ever you order either is incorrect or usually for me has everything I didn’t want and nothing that I wanted! I don’t know if the woman that is making the sandwiches doesn’t care or cannot read. I am as of now never going back to this place it seems that with the ownership change the quality and attention to the consumers needs have also changed for the worst! If you ask for it a certain way you should get it that way… fix the problem UNIQUESANDWICHES and you should do well.

I was bummed to see/hear the owner sold. but good for her! Sandwiches are still pretty good, prices seem the same the only thing I’m noticing is the sandwiches do seem a tad bit smaller and the wait is a little longer but still a tasty sandwich… I wish the new owners continued success…

YEP! I’m still faithfully visiting Unique. I had to add this review because I don’t hear much about breakfast and it’s my favorite here. So much that I wish they were open on the weekend!!!

I never knew this place existed until our office moved over to Balboa Avenue. Just another hole in the wall deli, like many in our area but def one of the best. I had also never had Boar’s Head meats and cheeses and Lord have mercy, it is NO joke, it is some of the best meats you’ve ever tasted! I’ve only eaten the roast beef sandwiches and here’s the scoop, the meat is tender and rare and really, really taste like it was freshly oven roasted. The cheese is fresh tasting and the Korean lady who owns the joint is competent and fast if not overly friendly. The veggies are always fresh and crunchy and it seems that many of the baked goods, not all, are homemade. The sour, mean young dude that used to work the register is not gone having been replaced by a very nice lady.
