I can’t say enough about the general manager Sylvester Keith. I came here in a jam because another Uhaul location had no trucks and my reservation meant nothing to them. When I arrived Mr. Keith greeted me and was cordial and helpful. I told him my issue and the fact that I had paid movers waiting on a truck that I didn’t now have. He was awesome! Although no trucks were «available» he went out of his way to work it out so I could get a truck for a few hours to handle my move. Mr. Keith rescued me out of a terrible predicament. It is always a breathe of fresh air when you come across such superb customer service! Thank you Sylvester Keith, you are a life saver!!!

Wouldn’t remove a hand truck from the van. All other places gladly remove it upon your request. I work with u-​haul almost every day and this location is the worst by far.

Moving is a stressful experience as it is. Having to store belongings while one sorts out a living situation is more stressful. Therefore, I am extremely appreciative if Daniel and the rest of the staff at this location. They made my truck rental and storage transfer painless, and the cost was fair. I recommend anyone who needs a truck and storage together to consider this location. They have storage and trucks in one place.

Absolutely horrendous experience. My husband and I moved across the country. Thinking it would cut costs to use UBoxes instead of a moving truck, we hired UHaul. You definitely get what you pay for. Customer service and UBox delivery was fine on the East Coast side but dealing with the Lemon Grove location has been horrendous. One thing they don’t tell you is that you have to pay additional fees to have your moving company rent a trailer to have your boxes delivered. «Door to door service» on their website is completely false advertising. There has been a problem with closing out my account and for weeks, I have been trying to get it resolved with customer service. I am constantly told someone will call me back and no one ever does. I’ve been told the problem has been solved, yet I am receiving threatening emails and letters in the mail daily. No one seems to have any clue how to fix the problem and they continue to give me more people to call who don’t call me back. I will never, ever use UHaul again due to negligent customer service and overall horrible interactions setting the whole move up. The money I saved was definitely not worth the ongoing headaches I’ve encountered. If you’re reading this, just hire a moving company. UBoxes are more hassle than they are worth.

When we returned the truck, we accidentally overfilled the tank by an eighth. They tried to tell us they don’t reimburse for extra gas but if we returned it with less gas they charge $ 5 per gallon??? This is robbery. Someone has to do something about this because this is BS.
