Always a great experience! They always cater to your needs and hair. Not to mention you can have a drink while you wait and a cookie after you are done! Can’t beat that for a men’s cut.

I love this place… If you’re into the classic style barber shop this place is right for you. They instantly offer you a drink of choice (beer or whiskey) and when you’re done you get a home made cookie. Now, I realize that booze and food isn’t what makes a great hair cut but these girls are all on point and if you’re looking for the best straight razor shave see my girl Amani.

Great experience as a first-​time patron with Ashley back in April. Ashley was attentive and listened to my needs and requests. I pointed out problem areas to her and she made some thoughtful recommendations on how best to achieve the style I wanted. She took her time throughout the whole process — I never felt rushed or unwelcome. One of the best cuts I’ve had. Everyone on the staff was super friendly and offered warm (but unfussy) service. Yes, you will be paying more here than you would at a ‘regular’ barber shop, but here you are getting access to experienced, talented stylists who all specialize exclusively in men’s hair.

Started getting my hair cut here a few months ago, and couldn’t be happier! I was looking for a place to get my hair cut that had really good reviews, and like many people have stated, was sold on the reviews, …and free drinks. I’ve had my hair cut here four times so far and have been very impressed each time, never even close to disappointed. Kalia (although she’s not there anymore), Ashley, and Anissa have come through for me, even when I wasn’t entirely sure what I wanted. They’re all tremendously skilled and knowledgeable at what they do, and know how to make you feel comfortable in their establishment. My most recent barber –er, barberess (?), Anissa, has really nailed the cut each time. She is truly a VERY hard working pro at her job, and did I mention she’s great conversation, too?
The building is clean, orderly and well kept, and I plan to keep going here for the foreseeable future. They definitely earn the $ 55 price tag, and I never feel questionable leaving a decent tip.
If you’re like me, and previously just got you’re hair cut in some $ 6 hair cut chop shop, I’d REALLY recommend giving this place a try. Now I actually enjoy going to get my hair cut for a change. I don’t have to worry about what will have to be fixed later, or worry about… well, just any of the stuff I typically did before finding this place.
I see big things ahead for this place! They’re really worth the fedya, and I’d recommend giving them a try any day of the week! Definitely the best place I’ve gone for a hair cut so far, at least in the past, say, two decades? Try them out, for sure!

Anissa is literally the bomb, and she happens to be the best barberess in town. Hit this little lady up!

If you’ve come across this place looking for a haircut then your search is over. I was skeptical at first thinking it be just like any other place but I couldn’t have been more wrong; schedule an appointment the next and was surprised on how well the atmosphere was inside, nothing but positive vibes everywhere. Short wait and and the effort in trying to achieve the look you want is astounding. You’ll be scheduling your next appointment before u even finish your first haircut. Overall they have great service, results, and just awesome people altogether. I had an appointment with Jeri and I had no clue about what kind of hairstyle I wanted for my graduation. We discussed some ideas and finally settled on one, but it came out far better than I ever expected!
She held a great conversation on a wide variety of topics and the time absolutely flies by. The attention to detail is unmatched and the whole vibe of this place is relaxing. And if you aren’t relaxed, feel free to politely ask for social lubricant aka alcohol.
I will definitely be coming back to avoid the chop shop I used to get buzzed at!

Thanks dudes for giving my little bro a great experience at your place. We found you guys because the idiots over at The Dover turned my brother down because he was 12 minutes late, even though he called to let them know and they said no problem.

I get my cut here by Janet every time. Every time I come here I’m pretty sure I tell the same stories, but she’s good about it a plays along. Ever the consummate professional, she always asks what I think about my hair. Now I’ve had hair for many years now and I still don’t know anything about making it look right. But Janet does. I just go with what she tells me. I’ve gotten compliments.
Not only does my hair come out looking like a work of art, but they’re good about keeping me caffeinated with their cold brew. Last time I was in there it was cinco de mayo and we did shots. So this place is pretty much the best. Besides, Janet’s spot is upstairs in this cool-​guy loft they’ve got there, and being perched high above everyone’s heads looking down on the plebs below is a real power trip. Anyway, if you’re like me and can only tell the person cutting your hair that you want it to look «nice,» Janet at Tailored for Men can translate that into an actual haircut. Reason enough to come back right there.

Excellent! Anissa gives excellent, to spec haircuts. She did an excellent job giving me advice on different hairstyles and was able to help me pick one.

Ashley did a great job of giving me the haircut I want, without me actually knowing! I had grown my hair out and wanted something different from what I usually get. After consulting with Ashley and giving her a vague explanation I wanted, she was able to take over from there and give me a great haircut to show off to everyone.
Overall, I highly recommend coming here for anyone that wants to improve their look and get a fresh haircut!

Awesome place got a great cut from Ashley. It’s hard to find someone who can cut guys hair even if it’s long. Very personable and relaxing atmosphere and the price is very reasonable.

«Just make me look sexy,» is what I tell Jeri when I walk in and plop down on a leather chair in their hip, downtown location.
And she does! Every time.
She’s also a riot to talk to — ask for stories of her husband’s bread-​slinging business — and is a really sweet person who remembers most of the conversations you have on repeat visits.
Everyone else? They’re smiling nonstop the whole time. Great place to work (apparently), an awesome culture and a very talented staff.
Oh and there’s a full bar. It’s 5 o’clock somewhere, and that’s at Tailored Hair for Men.

After searching hours online I stumbled upon tailored hair for men and looking at the before and after pic I decided to give the place a try and I was not disappointed. From start to finish I received excellent service and when I told Ashley I just wanted her to do whatever with my hair, she was super excited to transform my old style. After two weeks my hair typically grows out pretty nappy but I don’t know how she cut it but the hair grew right in place… Give it a try… Be daring… Just say I will leave it up to you.
P. S. Be forewarned… The haircut process takes over an hour

Been here once and I was instantly impressed. Great location in East Village in what I’m assuming was originally a loft. The owner did a good job decorating. Haven’t been upstairs but the first floor has a bar and you’re greeted right away and offered a beverage. I went with their cold pressed coffee on the rocks which was amazing.
I love the concept of this place. Attractive girl stylists who only cut guys hair. I was paired with Janet who is awesome. She spent time on my hair and the results show. They use Aveda products which are solid. The only two drawbacks to this place are parking which is downtown so good luck there and price. Expect to drop some money but just like most things you get what you pay for and they do a great job!

Ashley is pretty much the worst of all time. Not only do I now have to cope with twice as many people complimenting my amazing hair as usual (it’s like totes draining) but she was also way too funny. Like, I mean, ugh. Should you feel like looking amazing (who would, really?) and feel comfortable and confident with your barber (laaaame) then certainly go to Ashley, otherwise supercuts is great for really making your day, and week, suck.

I have to say that hands-​down this place lives up to what they say they are on their website. Right when I walked in Lizzy greeted me and recognizing that it was my first time here, gave me the lowdown and offered me a beer which I gladly accepted. I was then introduced to my stylist, Anissa, who led me through a discussion to learn exactly what I was looking for.
Anissa took her time carefully shaping my hair to look awesome. She started by trimming my hair and then moved to a quick neck shave and hot towel for the scalp. She then proceeded to possibly my favorite part about the experience, the scalp massage. This was then followed up by a quick trim of my eyebrows and a trip down to wash my hair. Right after the wash I was treated to a hot aromatherapy towel for my face. Finally I was taken back upstairs for some fine-​tuning finesse work and then styled up to finish.
Anissa then took me downstairs to get settled up. Lizzy was manning the front desk and took some time to ask how my experience was. Obviously I told her it was amazing and I would be back for my next haircut.
Overall I have to say that this place is truly top notch. They provided a bespoke experience that fit me perfectly. They took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for and expertly delivered it. While this is certainly not the cheapest haircut, the experience delivers incredible value for the cost. If this is the type of experience that you’re looking for, I would definitely recommend Tailored Hair for Men.

It’s a big responsibility to walk around each day with the haircut that Ashley gave me. To say that it looks «good» is simply not enough.
Whiskey alone can make just about any experience enjoyable, and there I had plenty, but after this trim my hair literally thanked me for having enough respect that I went to Tailored Hair for Men rather than the other crummy place down the street.
Everyone was very friendly, easy to talk to, and Ashley helped give me styling advice that I’ve never heard before. Thank you!

Jeri helped me pick a style that suits my face shape and hair, then executed it flawlessly.
Adding much more to this review would really be pointless. The quality and the level of service provided at Tailored Hair for Men are worth twice the price — these are artists who know the ins and outs of hair and how to make it look good.
