Annoyed because yesterday this place was still listed as open on Unilocal.Drive there today and find out it’s closed. Looked at Unilocal and there’s a notification saying its closed. Grrrr! No ones fault but hate when that happens.

Such a cute little place! After having a horrible lunch at Café Merlot’s, we came into this place with no expectations at all. The employees were all very friendly and helpful. I ordered a strawberry banana smoothie and it was yummy! And I ordered a buttermilk donut that was decent. My cousin ordered a bagel with cream cheese– she said it was good. Only gripe was that they did not have blueberry bagels. The kids chocolate milk looked delicous and my cousin had a sip and said it was bomb. Really liked this place and will definitely hit this coffee shop if at this winery in the future.

Found this place on Unilocal while visiting a friend in Escondido — amazing coffee, pleasant atmosphere, and a sassy old man who sure makes a mean Aztec mocha ;) cayenne pepper makes most things better, and I even got an extra shake because I said I like a spicy kick. Loved everything about my visit here, that is after I was actually able to find it. Keep searching! Off the road but not the beaten path, worth the effort.

Delicious coffee and pastries and beautiful setting to walk around, or sit, to enjoy. Very cute, quaint, and perfect for relaxing days. Plus who doesn’t enjoy wondering around a winery too?! :)

The nice old man sure knows his coffee and tea. Very nice shop with lots of extras to get. Meat and cheese plate is very tasty. Pleasant outdoor seating and good atmosphere in the winery area. He treated me to a second shot!

Cute, quaint, and rustic! Unilocaled for coffee place that wasn’t a big chain and found this place! It’s located inside/near Bernardo Winery, hence a beautiful place to walk around with many little shops and restaurants to eat at. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Their Americano and tea was so smooth and rich:) and i always drink my drinks black! definitely quality coffee :)

Very apparent they make their money from regular customers. Polite staff, not overly friendly, good prices, decent product, great location. Must try their Bagel with Salmon spread.

Went to the farmers market and found this coffee house. Awesome rustic area with the Bernardo Winery all around. The café itself had cups for the regulars all around. Had an Americano enjoyed a beautiful morning, and also the ambiance.

Looking always for alternative coffee shops othern than Starbucks, and Sweet Pea charming cottage does not disappoint. I have been several times, not only enjoying great coffee but also drawing there or chatting with friends in those cute little tables that make you feel you are inside the room of a doll house. It is a very cute store to buy gifts. Coffee is very good but i wish there was more variety in the pastries department. Definitively is a plus in the winery.

We don’t know what we’d do without this place. It’s like a home away from home. Always inviting. Drinks are good. So is merchandise. Neighborhood cups give one a sense of belonging. Outdoor porch is stupendous. It’s a place where you can daydream away. Each year we recognize more and more the value of a neighborhood coffee shop. Winery cat is a nice touch.

Cute little place tucked away in the Bernado Winery Artist Village. They use Ryan Bros coffee which is a local company that pushes flavored coffees. I tried a house blend drip that was well brewed and enjoyable despite the dark roast. The espresso machine looked cold and was loaded with beans that were oily and black so probably not a place to get a good cappuccino. Definitely worth stopping by if you are checking out the wineries or want to enjoy a very pleasant patio.

A lovely little nook to enjoy a cup of tea, a fresh cup of coffee and a tasty goodie! Great décor, fun things to shop for, located in the ever charming Rancho Bernardo Winery. The owners are super friendly & very polite… and sweet!!!

Super cute shop! Coffee was great and so was the cherry strudel thing I bought. The owner was pretty nice and gave me some history on the cat that lives at this shop and the winery(I’m a cat/animal lover!). They have a bunch of fun house hold items and souvenirs.

This place would really be charming and I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the crotchety old man(owner?) working there. I went there on slow Saturday afternoon with my husband and in-laws in search of a good cup of non-franchise coffee and to show them around the winery. Our orders were relatively simple, but it seemed that the 4 of us completely and utterly overwhelmed the man working there. There were other staff available to assist him, but he yelled at them to «get away from me», «stop touching me in places where I shouldn’t be touched», «I’ll take care of it», etc. It was rather shocking and uncomfortable and I couldn’t wait to get out of there. He also argued with my father-in-law regarding the names of certain coffee beverages. .. totally unnecessary. I’m not a huge fan of coffee in general, but I thoroughly enjoyed my blended caramel something-or-other while sitting elsewhere on the winery grounds. The rest of my party gave the coffee good reviews as well, and that is saying a lot b/c they are experienced coffee-drinkers. I most likely will go back to this coffee shop at some point in the future simply because it is located at the winery, but I will definately peek in to see who’s on duty before I going in to place my order. ..

Great little coffee shop located at the Bernardo winery. We regularly come to the winery to walk around and relax and we often stop here for a coffee and snack. Very, friendly owners.

Arlene and Larry… remarkable people with positive spirits and a talent for making a great cup of anything your heart desires. Their menu is vast and the beverages are delicious. I have been in several times now and have made not only coffee purchases but gift ones too. They have very unique home items. I missed out on a vintage key that hangs on the wall… but found an excellent fluor-de-lis wall hanger that will be home for keys in my home. Thank you Arlene and Larry for always creating a very comfortable place to enjoy my time at the winery. I will always stop in to see you… so long as you are open!

Got a craving for nachos while you are wine tasting? Well you are in luck! Sweet Pea Coffee Cottage next door can hook you up! I didn’t go in, but the boyfriend said it was a cute mom and pop shop with coffee, bagels, and… nachos. Yes, nachos, and they were good.
