I trained with Keith for 3 years. In that time there was a pattern of him canceling scheduled sessions that had already been paid for, for personal reasons. I was tolerant of this because for the most part we had a decent working relationship and when I needed flexibility he did do his best to be accommodating. Within the last several months, however the cancellation issue became more prevalent. I, now less tolerant suggested that as per my records we had several sessions that I had paid for, but he had cancelled that needed to be made up. He responded to this by sending me a TEXTMESSAGE(not a phone call, not a face to face conversation) advising that his schedule could no longer accommodate me as a client. This cowardly act not only demonstrated his lack of professionalism, but lack of business integrity. In an attempt to get a refund for ALL the cancelled sessions(for which I had documented via direct correspondence from him), he agreed to only refund for sessions cancelled in the last month we worked together but felt he was under no obligation to refund for any cancelled sessions prior. His rationale — it was my(client) responsibility to solicit make up sessions that he cancelled, not his responsibility to offer. This is the manner in which a «professional» business owner chooses to terminate a business relationship with a 3-year long client? Shame on me for exhibiting poor judgement in evaluating this person’s integrity. –Proceed with extreme caution.

Keith is not for the faint of heart. If you’re looking to have a chill session, please look elsewhere. Keith will push you, motivate you and encourage you through the process. He is extremely keen about people’s fitness and nutrition needs and will tailor the perfect program for you(old injuries, aches and pains included). He will push you beyond your comfort zone but he does it with intelligence and will not skip the laws of progression. He is fun, smart and never dull! The workouts are always different, he remembers where you left off last time, he doesn’t just tell you what to do but he explains the science behind the exercise then you execute, oh and by the way he knows when you’re BSing to get out of it too so isn’t that’s a plus?! As a former dancer I needed intensity but I also needed structured guidance to achieve my goals, so far he’s gotten me into following a nutrition plan that takes into consideration my body’s issues and my work outs never fail to «kill» me, I «die» everytime. I’ve never liked the gym, but I am always looking forward to my sessions with Keith, I never know what the workout will look like, im never certain about how im going to feel but what I do know is that Keith will be there 100% on his game and 100% ready to kick my butt.

I initially bought 10 sessions of personal training and figured I’d go until my sessions were up, and then use what I learned to do it myself at the gym. That was 8 months ago, and I refuse to give up my personal trainer. Keith’s passion for training is evident with every single workout. He knows exactly how to draw the most out of you, working you to your maximum through a combination of drilling and cheer leading. You come to expect more out of yourself because HE expects more out of you. He helps you find an inner strength that you never even knew you had. His training doesn’t stop when your hour is up, either. He works with you on your nutrition too, developing a calorie plan, recommending meals, and even reviewing your food logs daily. He takes progress photos and pulls them out just when you start to get discouraged, showing you how far you’ve come. I am down over 50 pounds and am wearing a pants size that is literally half the size of the ones I was wearing the day I walked into S&S the first time. It isn’t easy, but Keith has this way of making you NOT want to quit — even when it sucks. It’s one of the hardest and most rewarding things I’ve done in a long time. I don’t plan on ever quitting.
