One of the best sandwiches ever! Oodles of turkey, fresh green lettuce, red onion and condiments. For $ 5.10 it can’t be beat! I will be back!

Great sandwiches! It’s always really fresh. Very reasonable prices. Only thing I can say is call ahead and order your food there are a little slow on making the food. I would recommend the grinder. You can also take any sandwich and turn it into a salad.

Killer sandwich shop! I ordered a breakfast croissant and took one bite before hitting the road. After slamming the brakes my sandwich splattered across the floor mat. It was so good that I had to eat it anyway. Very friendly Mom and Pop shop.

Needed food in my stomach and realized I was near this amazing sub shop! The deli shop won’t ever let you down trust me. With great prices and selections you can’t go wrong. I decided to go with the all American surfer and boy I’m glad I did. Piles of roast beef, turkey, ham, and bacon it was soooooo delicious! This place never lets me down. I need to make it in earlier to try there famous croissant breakfast sandwiches that are also bomb! Until next time!

This sandwich shop/convenience store is nothing short of great. I recently started working in the convoy/clairemont mesa area and had been looking for places to venture off to during my lunch break. While it was a bit difficult to notice as it is in the middle of an office complex(as are many delis in this area) it was definitely worth looking for. After my initial visit, on which I ordered the Great White sub(turkey, chicken, bacon), I’ve visited this place many times a week and will not soon get tired of their delicious sandwiches, always made with fresh ingredients. The prices are GREAT as you can get a basic sandwich for less than $ 5 but a three or four meat sammie will only run you around $ 6 – 7 at the most. Their sandwiches are always large and packed with meat, sometimes to the point I have to save half for later. Surf N Sub also offers a solid breakfast menu with some items even only costing $ 3. I have not yet tried their burritos but will definitely doing so soon. The customer service is good and the older woman who generally takes my order is very nice.

This place is super generous with the portions in general and in particular with how much meat they throw on. I don’t think of anywhere else when I want a sandwich.

This is a gem of a deli! Every aspect of these sandwiches is top notch. Thick hand-sliced meat, fresh and flavorful produce, well-prepared toppings, and delicious bread. Amazing deal. A bit of a wait because of the care with which they make your meal. If they take call-in orders, that’s the way to go.

I walked to this little gem while having my car serviced at the Kearny Mesa Toyota Dealership and am I glad that I did. Tucked in basically an office complex. it’s hard to notice this little shop. The place is really small with probably 3 tables on the inside and some on the outside. It is one of those pay individually shops so it is extremely convenient for coworkers to split the bill. This is also a lunch specialty place so they close at 3pm. The menu is expansive with any meat combinations that you would want but i settled for their Baja Turkey on a French Roll — Turkey, Bacon, Avocado, Pepper and Pepper Jack Cheese with of course, The Works. It is BOMB. Everything tasted fresh and holy crap. they gave me SO much. I think the appropriate term for this is ‘stacked’. When you go here, you are buying stacked sandwiches for around $ 5! I need come back to this place again because places like these need to be around. They need to exist. Stop by and support them. You won’t regret it.

Great sandwiches that do a wonderful Job at putting you right into the lunchtime coma. STACKED with meat and always fresh. Me and my co workers order sandwiches at least 3 – 4 times a week.

Went here for lunch while waiting for a car repair. We were the only two people ordering food so this should’ve been really quick. I ordered the Shop Special on a roll, no tomatoes, and dining there onsite. The cashier said they’d bring the sandwiches out to us… but that didn’t happen. Several people arrived after us and all got their food before we did. Eventually we went back to the counter to ask what is going on with our lunch. Sigh. My sandwich had tomatoes on it and, unlike what others reported, a thin layer of meat instead of what you’d expect from a deli. The sandwich itself tasted meh. Not real fresh, not real old, just meh. I don’t understand why this place is rated as high as it is. Go to Jersey Mike’s or Grab & Go if you want a good sandwich.

I work in Kearny Mesa and searched on Unilocal to find new places to pick up lunch for everyone and found this one was two blocks away, so I decided to give it a try. SETTING: Industrial/business plaza, plentiful of parking spaces. The restaurant itself is very small. Only 3 – 4 tables big enough for two people each. Not a good place for big groups unless you’re ordering take out. They have a row of fridges of drinks and prices are posted. They also have a row of assorted snacks. Almost looks like a mini deli/convenient store. Place looks a bit on the ghetto side though. A bit run down and old. FOOD: Honestly, they have the cheapest sandwich prices I’ve ever seen in Kearny Mesa area, which is great. Most sandwiches are right under $ 5-$ 6. + D3. Shop Special $ 5.15 (pastrami, roast beef, BBQ sauce, & swiss cheese) I ordered my sandwich without bbq sauce because Im not a fan. But I added avocado. The avocado portion was basically a thin layer of smeared avocado which was not worth an extra 75 cents. The pastrami looked and tasted more like thick slices of ham… But the roast beef was pretty good. Thick slices of roast beef. And every sandwich comes with«The Works: lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo and mustard» All the veggies seemed fresh. I also didn’t like the wheat bread very much. It tasted extremely generic. Overall, I guess you get what you pay for. Simple, cheap, and does the job. Food here is decent.

Screw the chains like Togo’s subway and quiznos. You get an awesome sandwich with more fixins at a way lower price. Call in ahead or else wait in agony while you see patrons munching on pure goodness.

Our office is nearby and we come to this gem frequently. I can tell that most customers are return customers because this place provides delicious sandwiches with very reasonable prices. The portion is HUGE. I’d say sometimes I have to share my sandwich with another person. $ 6-$ 7 bet you are stuffed and satisfied! They soups are yummy too! Suggestion: call in to pre-order before you go to the Deli to pick up the food. P. S. they definitely deserve the tip!

So you know how you pile on toppings when you’re at home making a sandwich? That is what they do here for like $ 6-$ 7. But they have great ingredients and great sandwiches. They will fulfill any craving you got. AND they have massive burritos. Plus literally everything else you fancy from their convenience store. People complain about the wait. Yes it is a bit long, like 20+ minutes. But then you get your food and you’re like damn. They really put the love and care in their food. If you don’t have the time you’re not worthy. You make the time for this place. Call ahead and you’ll still probably wait due to the people waiting and short staff. Plus, it’s in a business area so a little hard to find and they got short hours so check before going.

A very generous portion, great price and nice service. Although I came in about ten till 11am on a Monday, they still served me breakfast. At that time, the place was empty(Lucky me! No line and plenty of places to sit.) I bought their veggie burrito with wheat tortilla, since their what tortillas were smaller than their white that day, they gave me TWO!!! WHATHONESTBUSINESSPEOPLE!!! I wouldn’t have known any better. The burrito hit the spot and they had fresh salsa(ask them) plus a few hot sauces to choose from(I like tapatio). I’m decided to give a tip and buy a drink because they are such an honest and generous business. I’m actually writing this right before I leave so that I don’t forget to give them their well deserved props! TIP: I noticed that a lot of people call in and order ahead. Probably the quickest route to get your food. They aren’t the speediest deli, but they do know how to treat customers right.

I dropped my car off for maintenance and I found this place near by, so I decided to try it for a quick breakfast. The place is a small deli in a industrial building.( ) They had about a half a dozen breakfast items on the menu, and I ordered the Ham, Egg, and Cheese Breakfast Croissant for $ 3.50 and a bottle of water.( ) The croissant sandwich was good. The egg was cooked well, but a little under seasoned and the ham was tasty and croissant moist.( ) They used American cheese as a default, but I am sure you can choose another. Good breakfast croissant. The prices are very good and the people who own and work here are nice. If you work in the area, this is a good place to grab an inexpensive breakfast or lunch. A solid 3.5 stars.
