My mother showed up for a hair cut and the person NEVER showed up. UNacceptable.

This the second time I was here. I arrived on a Saturday afternoon and the receptionist looked at me like I wasn’t supposed to be there. There was one stylist, no customers and hair all over the floor. No one was cleaning, just talking and playing on their cell phones. I arrived around 2:00pm and she said I would have to come back at 5:30pm. All I wanted was a simple trim. Apparently life is good at this salon to turn away a simple haircut that probably would have taken 15 minutes (my hair was washed and damp). As I was waiting in the car for my friend for about 15 minutes in front of the store. No one entered the store. I for one will NEVER go back after the stuck up treatment. I ended up at California cuts where I had a friendly greeting and even though they were packed, I got service after only 5 minutes. No one was sitting on their butts texting.

Dishonest. I took my 20 month old for a haircut end of July and I paid $ 18 for it. They did a terrible job and I went this evening to get hair fixed. Before I went I called and explained the situation. I was asked to come in at 710 pm. When I showed up I was told that they have a seven day policy. No where on the receipt have they mentioned anything about their policy. I was told on phone that Manager will be able to decide. When I got there I was told that manager has left for the day and I need to come back next day.
What a disaster service. I am never going back there.
Inferior quality of work

I couldn’t be happier with the service I received from Toni. I had been going to the same hairdresser for 10 years and my hair was over processed and in very bad condition. I was extremely nervous about getting my hair cut short, but Toni put me at ease, and within 20 minutes I had a completely new has style which suited me! I just could not have been more pleased! Highly recommended!

I regularly go to Sarah at this supercuts and she is the best! She really listens to what you want. Great color and cut! You won’t be disappointed :)

Marlena is my go-​to stylist at this location. I was very pleased with both the haircut and coloring services that I received on my last visit.

Made an appt by phone on day of service. I told them my daughter had long curly hair and wanted it flat ironed. Tha hair stylist that worked on my daughter appeared to have little to no experience with a flat iron. She proceeded to tug at my daughter’s hair to get the curls out to straighten it. A long a painful process and at the end, my daughter’s hair was straight, frizzy and now had many split ends due to the hairstylist trying to comb out her curls. We would never go back! It’s a shame that Supercuts does not match the hairstylist’s ability to the service being provided.

So very disappointed. Paid several hundred dollars last month to have my hair colored and highlighted. My stylist assured me that the highlights would come out in a week or so. It’s been over a month and you still can’t tell my hair was highlighted. Total waste of money!

I recommend Marlena for highlights and color. In the past I’ve had trouble getting stylists to get the color right for my highlights. They usually end up too blond and the highlighted hair ends up fried and dull. Marlena was able to get the rich caramel highlights that I’ve been longing for. My hair looks shiny and healthy so I know she’s using good products which in hindsight must have been the reason my hair was fried by previous stylists using inferior products. I will do another review when she cuts my hair on the next visit.

My husband took my young son and my senior dad for a haircut. At supercuts, they took both their names down. While someone cut my son’s hair, my dad was waiting thinking he will be called next. There were no other customers waiting. My husband asked the lady at the desk when my dad would be called and was told in about 10 mins. Another man walks in and he was shown a seat for haircut immediately… and the same thing happened again and it didnt appear they both had appointments. Even after 15 mins my dad wasnt called. When my son was done, they paid and walked out. They didnt seem to care at all. Not professional at all. Avoid

Love the convenience, friendly people, great value and good service at the Torrey Hills Supercuts. I work long hours during the week and being able to come in on a Sunday is great. Gabbie (Gabriela) is my go-​to stylist and she’s terrific with my long hair. I always feel fantastic when I leave, knowing my hair looks wonderful and I think the prices are good value. 4 stars instead of 5 because there is sometimes a wait with many people but I suppose that’s because it’s a popular place.

Really friendly and nice service. My boyfriend is in the military and gets his hair cut here a lot. Ie: they are good with really short cutting. If you’re looking for good stylist recommendations, Toni (the manager) and Helena, are my and my boyfriend’s faves! Great service and not pushy. :)!

Toni is great. I’ve seen her several times and been happy after each visit. Just make sure you request her. It gets busy during midday so call ahead. I’ve not been disappointed!

Dudes, ask for Regina or Toni for your cut. There will most likely be a wait, even on weekdays, so call ahead.

This place is ok if you do not have much hair to cut. No professional. I would say only 2 person there who can do really good job. Also they pressure you to buy products even you do not need them. Next time i will go to other place.

What is this with washing kids hair for an extra $ 3. This was the third time I went there with my 2 boys (16 & 10 years old), the first time they had it washed, just to come home and wash it again to take out all the hair on their neck.
There is a pressure to wash the hair, this very rude lady today asked my son, myself and still insisting she asked me if his hair was clean. Minutes later, after she calmed down and my other son hops on another chair, the other one asks me if it was ok to wash his hair.
Anyway, I didn’t leave any tip either i was already upset with the whole situation AND because I paid $ 32 for both. I was under the impression the little one was $ 13.95, supercuts jr. Only $ 2 over but… Specially when I saw the gentleman before him paying only $ 14.95 for wash and cut. I guess he was special.
No, I won’t go back. Three of them are kind of temperamental, this older one today was really rude and it was not only to me. I’ll try the Del Mar Highlands location next.

Regina and nicki are first rate. As good as the pricey salons.

So this was the 2^nd time I got my hair cut here. the First time the lady did a fantastic job and thats why I came back, but only to find she had moved to a different location.
Since I was there I decided to have my hair cut and the lady who took me messed it up pretty good… I have curly hair that I like to keep at about ear length and I hadn’t cut my hair in over a year because I was growing it out, so its kinda long for a guy. I told her I would like only about 1 and ½ inches off, and she said sure. So she began cutting and after about 1 min decided to ask me if the length was good? she pulls my hair out and she had taken about 4 inches off and left approx 1 inch on the sides of my head.
Long story short she gave me a Kramer-​ish hair cut leaving the top long and the sides short, and I looked like a fool. Its been 1 month and I still cant get my hair to even out.
The worst part is she told me afterwards that she has never cut Curly hair before, I was pretty furious because she could have told me this before she cut my hair. I am just really frustrated that I got such a terrible haircut, and its still messed up after 1 month…

There are only one, maybe two people here who can give good cuts. Here’s a clue, they both have bangs and are female. Next time I’ll get their names.
Last time I was in, Morrissey cut my 5 year old’s hair. He actually complained there were too many tangles in my daughters hair and should have paid him extra to wash it because it was too hard for him to do. Is this my hairdresser on fire?!
He sighed, he huffed and he puffed but after much consternation, got all the tangles out.
Too hard for him! Imagine that. It was really hard to open my wallet for a tip too! The snap button just didn’t want to unsnap! I think it even made a little screeching noise as it creaked apart and ejected a few reluctant bills. Guess it was just one of those days. So hard! Ouch!
I would still bring her back… but not to Mr Morrissey.
