I really enjoyed the soup and sandwich. Both were vegetarian. It may be a little tricky to find, but you won’t regret it.

My favorite, and regular, breakfast spot during the week, with the occasional lunch visit. The food and the service are both authentic and top-notch. If you go in the morning, it smells and sounds like a home kitchen(well, not mine, but people who cook at home!), with Sue preparing her soups and lunch specials from scratch. She has all the regular things you could want in a deli, with the highlights being the homemade soups and random specials she whips up(there’s a chicken rice dish she does on Wednesdays that’s my favorite). I also like the Manoush, a simple but yummy Lebanese/Middle Eastern pita dish that I never had before coming here. I’ve had it for a light lunch, and she makes a yummy, off-menu version for breakfast with this ridiculously good lebneh, which is some type of Lebanese cream cheese or yogurt. I also like the coffee, because she has that vanilla hazlenut creamer; may seem random, but it has ruined me for coffee everywhere else. Personal service, and a real hidden gem on the 7th floor of the Chamber Building. If you don’t work in the building, you wouldn’t know about it… but definitely worth popping in some day.

Okay. Finally tried her soup. Her soups are definitely yum. She now has an assistant who seems to have alleviated some of her stress. Definitely get her soup which seems like it was made from scratch.

Soooooo good! So delicious! I went here at 2pm on a Wednesday, the lunch hour rush was over and I had the place to myself. Just Sue and I. I ordered the special of the day «smoked turkey sandwich w/avocado. Comes with soup & a can of soda -$ 6.99» I ordered mine with sourdough bread, chicken mushroom soup w/burgul, and a Monster energy drink from her fridge. Total was $ 10 even. The soup is no joke effing amazing! You get a full sized sandwich cut in half and she makes everything fresh right there for you. CNN is on the TV, and there are 6 tables in the place. Walk left out of the elevator, 7th floor of the Chamber Building!

I went there again today! I was feeling sick and needed a nice bowl of soup badly. I actually stopped by Grab and Go to try their soup and felt sicker. It was really awful, and I had to go back to Sue’s Deli to get some soup. Today’s Soup: Chicken Fajita and Rice I was hoping for chicken noodles, but I was really hungry and desperate. I got a large soup to go! For $ 5, I am really satisfied and am feeling better. It was a little oily, but I LOVED how she used real chicken(generous and big chunks) and fresh peppers! From now on, I will just come here for my soup! Bring cash if you are only going to buy soup. Any purchase under $ 5 gets charged 50 cents, and the large soup is $ 4.50.

Went to this place for the first time a few days ago and I really liked it. I got their Manoush and it came with a free chicken rice soup which was great because I had a cold and it made me feel much better. It was delicious and a great value lunch. The owner is very friendly and has a good selection of sandwiches. The Roast Beef and Super California both looked really good too, I want to try one of their subs next time. Just remember that you have to go up to the SEVENTH floor, the café will be on your LEFT down the hallway(it took us a little while to find it). If you want a quick, cheap lunch, this is a good place to come to. It’s a bit of a hole in the wall café but it has an excellent ‘homemade’ feel to it.

Sue’s Deli has really won me over with her falafel sandwich/soup/drink combo, which is affordable, delicious and as healthy as anything else«quick» within a 10 block radius– she’s also got Lebanese/Middle East specialties that are veggie friendly. If you are bored with the usual downtown lunch suspects, try Sue’s Deli. I’ve also noticed she keeps the tv locked on cnn during the day, which is a nice touch.

I absolutely love Sue’s Deli Café especially for breakfast and lunch. I was blessed to be told about this AMAZING place on the 7th floor of 110 W. C Street. Her entire breakfast menu is delicious, but most importantly AFFORDABLE. What I would spend on one sandwhich at Quiznos, or Specialty’s, I can get a sandwhich with a choice of the three sides:(soup, soda, or chips). She has two homemade soups you can choose from. She’s super nice and there’s even tables and a television in her café.

SOSOOOOOGOOOOD! my favorite is Manoush — great for the vegetarians — slightly toasted pita bread with olive oil and herb foldered over CHUNKS of feta, tomato, red union, and cucumber slices… TODIEFOR! her soups are creamy and delicious… she offers warm and cold cut sandwiches, gyros, pita and hummas, salads, and some homemade desserts in the cooler… Sue makes everything herself and to top it off — is always kind and friendly. Check it out! you won’t regret it!(did i mention its affordable???)

Tasty sandwiches at VERY low prices, espeically for downtown. Great homemade soup too. And beyond just being a good cook, Sue is also an extremely friendly host. Although all her prices are good, one particularly good deal is the $ 5.99 everyday special. You get a regular deli sandwich(full size, with your choice of bread, cheese, etc.) and then you can choose *two* from the following: a cup of soup, chips, or a can of soda. That’s a really good deal! This place is definitely a hidden gem, buried on the 7th floor of the very weird Chamber building. I wouldn’t have known it existed without Unilocal– but now that I’ve found it, I’ll definitely be back.

Sue’s Deli is the mom and pop store in the most traditional sense of the meaning«mom and pop.» In this case, the only thing missing is the pop, as Sue is definitely the chef/mom doing it on her own! So how is the food and what is on the menu you might be asking? Well you can’t go wrong with any of her traditional deli sandwiches but what really makes this place shine like Halley’s comet shooting across the dark night sky are her soups(all freshly made from scratch) and special sandwiches. You want yellow lentil with rice soup? You got it! Or how about good old American chicken noodle soup? It’s yours. Several other soups are also available, all equally delicious. These soups are offered differently each day so «like a box of chocolates» you never know what type of soup you are going to get when you visit. As if the soups were not already amazing enough on their own, you can get them as part of a sandwich meal– for $ 6.00. Speaking of sandwiches, my favorites happen to be the Salmon Sandwich, Manoush(Lebanese veggie sandwich-pita bread with sesame seeds, basil and olive oil, wrapped around tomatoes, feta cheese, red onions, and cucumbers!!!), falafel wrap, and gyro! Top 4 sandwiches in this shop hands up if you feel me!!! Sue makes all of these with fresh ingredients and TLC! You will want to try these, trust me. Sue also has fresh hummus, fruit plates, and homemade desserts. My only big tip, aside from going to eat here, is to call your orders in during lunch hour as she is truly a 1 woman operation. Lunch can get busy as she makes everything fresh herself and when the people come, they must wait. I can assure you its definitely worth the wait. Have a little patience, a hungry stomach, and heck you can explore the Chamber Building, while you wait. Enough reading, go and hit this place up, its the little diamond that you can find in the rough known as the Chamber Building at 110 West C Street– 7th floor :) The tenants of the Chamber Building are so lucky to have such a hidden gem in their midst.
