I walked in and said hi to the employee who was going to build my sandwich. She didn’t even respond. She just looked at me waiting for me to order. My sandwich was to my expectations minus the pepperoncinis they were out of. The cashier was nice and friendly and even smiled. I feel bad for the first employee who just seemed like she could care less about me or my business.

This used to be my go to place for sandwiches in Clairemont, however my experience yesterday was less than stellar. I felt like I was inconveniencing the lady making my sandwich. She’s kept saying ‘is that it’ in a tone which did said, ‘can I ring you up now’ instead ‘would you like anything else’. It was also the messiest sandwhich I’ve ever had. Gotta find a new place.

I had lost faith in the Subway chain as a whole until I tried this location. I’ve had three positive experiences in a row the staff is good & the veggies taste like veggies! The bread is better than most & overs good experience.

First off, let’s be clear that Subway isn’t getting 2 stars because of the quality of food. You go to Subway knowing what to expect, it’s not some 5 star restaurant with gourmet food. My complaint is that they have a national advertisement as well as a poster in their window promoting their new grilled chicken strips and they don’t have them in their store!!! When we asked the person working the counter for the chicken strips, she said they didn’t have it… ok, so what I should have done was ask her if she wants me to rip down the GIANT advertisement they had in the window or offered to cut the chicken into strips for her. Overall, the store was clean and the food was as good as can be expected, not having a nationally advertisement item just seems like a huge miss to me.

The owners are back and this Subway seems to be back on track. Glad to see it working correctly. Out of five stars you guys get six.

I am a big fan of Subway and this store hold true to the chain. The shop is clean and the staff is friendly. You are safe with this Subway :) Im only docking a star because it seems they havent quite figure out the cookie situation. Often times they are burnt or hard instead of that pull apart gooey typical Subway cookie.

This subway restaurant is great the employees are always very friendly the store is always nice and clean, what I like the most is that they get you in and out pretty fast I never have to wait too long in line they’re usually pretty fast, i’ve been to a lot of subways by far this is the best one in San Diego, I’m reading some of this reviews and I can’t believe That some of the customers had bad experience at this location, this is the store that’s right next too AAA. i been going to this location for the past 6 year. DONOTEATHERE!!! They have no customer service, you cannot understand the employee(when they actually want to talk to you). God forbid you sub an item or ask for extra lettuce cause they will make it known they don’t want to give it to you. Oh and don’t use a coupon cause they won’t take it.

This was a fast lunch. Chopped salad is good. All the veggies, turkey, ham, avocado and cheese. No gluten free breads, so my only option was a salad. I made it a combo with apple slices & water.

Its Subway — so many tasty little morsels to choose from all the salad toppings that you could want and a price that won’t break the bank. This place is pretty fast they hustle when they make your sandwich. The line moves pretty fast and I’ve always had my order completed without incident.

I work by this place and every time I go, I have a negative experience. The employees are so slow and they take their sweet time and talk to each other while trying to help the customers at the same time. The sandwiches are always a mess and the food is never put together the way it should be and everytime I ask for certain things they would give me this dirty look as if I’m bothering and wasting their time. By far this subway is the worst I have ever been to.

What does any small restaurant owner not want to see? A large group of hungry 4th and 5h graders walk into its doors with coupons for free subs. Not the case here! Naren and Nisa donated over 50 free sub coupons to my school that is walking distance away for our annual jogathon. If that wasn’t generous enough, they happily approved for them to come redeem them all at once on a mini field trip today. Nine and ten year olds are pretty finicky when it comes to food, so their orders were diverse. Yet the staff served them like regular paying customers and made our collective experience a pleasure. Even when there was a sandwich mistake, they would not let me pay for it. They are true community members that have built a long-lasting relationship with our small school. In addition to the generosity and outstanding service, the sandwiches were also yummy. Most of the kids consumed their entire 6 inch, while a few packed their leftovers to go. None went into the trash bin. Thank you Naren, Nisa and crew for providing such an enjoyable diversion from class today.

Subway, I’m breaking up with you. My sandwich is photogenic, but tasteless. What happened? Did you change the recipe for the bread? I had the subway club on jalapeño cheese bread, toasted. The bread didn’t impress me in taste nor in texture this time. Yet in the past I enjoyed your jalapeño cheese bread toasted! Was it old? Not toasted enough? New recipe? I tasted the«cheese» on your jalapeño cheese bread. Tasteless! Is that real cheese? I doubt it. If it’s real cheese, it must be a cheap processed cheese, as it has no taste! I pulled off some of the cheese to eat by itself, and there is absolutely NO cheesy taste to it. It’s just on the bread for looks! My sandwich wasn’t cheap either. I can get a much better sandwich at Whole Foods Market or at Hillcrest Sandwich company for the price you charge for the footlong subway club. I’ll find a better sandwich spot in Squaremont next time. Should I add a star for your smiling staff? Oh wait… no smiles at all. No friendly chat. No helpful suggestions. They made the sandwich. That’s it. It tasted boring. The staff looks bored. This is the first time I’ve ever eaten anything with«jalapeño» and declared it tasteless! Subway, you suck all the fun out of sandwiches and jalapeños.)-; Location: This subway is right near the AAA and McDonalds, in the sprawling Clairemont Town Square.

I hate this subway so much! The employees are rude and they ALWAYS mess up my sandwich. They are also sloppy and slow. I saw an employee drop bread on the ground am put it back in the cabinet.

Never have I ever had such a sloppy sandwich made. I used to get excellent service from here but my most recent visit was awful. The man who started our sandwiches began with sloppy cuts to the bread and pretty much just dropped the meat and cheese on it. We also got bacon. I do realize that the plastic gloves make it hard to be dexterous, but this wasn’t some greasy teenager, it was the owner… Into the oven they go. Then the next guy does our veggies. I though he would do my boyfriends sandwich and then mine since we like different things. I guess he was mumbling at me, trying to ask what I wanted, but he was so quiet I didn’t realize. Then he was jaded that I wasn’t talking to him. I cannot answer a question I did not hear! So then sandwich toppings are only being added to half. He was also rushing like his life depended on it. There was no one behind us. Trust me, if I wanted sloppy food as fast as possible there is a McDonald’s and a JBX within a 1 minute drive. I would have gone there. The avocado was ripped in half before he smeared in on, unevenly again. The sandwich did not close all that well due to poor bread slicing and overall it was a huge mess. As I said before, I have been to many subway restaurants, and even at this store several times. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at any subway.

The staff at this Subway were more interested in talking with each other and not take care of the customers properly. Juiie started one order and went to the cash register and did not finish our order. She was very short with taking care of our order. It seemed that she was more interested in collecting the money than completing the order first. I will not come back to this Subway.

Subway is Subway. When you have Kei’ls Deli just a few feet away that has sandwiches with Boar’s Head quality meat and prices very comparable to Subway you don’t go to Subway. When you have Sandwich Emporium right across the street that serves excellent sandwiches you don’t have to go to Subway. Subway is corporate food. You want Fresh Brewed Ice Tea you get it but where’s the lemon, «we dont have lemon we have lemon packets» gross. When they put those puny slices of cheese on the sandwich and you ask for double you get 4 puny slices of cheese. Its corporate food and God only knows what is the quality of their meat.

I was in the area for an early morning conference, and I came by here to grab a quick descent breakfast, knowing the conference would only be having a continental breakfast full of carbs. I ordered their egg white sammi on whole wheat with black forest ham, swiss, spinach, tomatoes, bell peppers, and a dash of salt ‘n pepper all nicely toasted of course.( ) The sammi and coffee came out to a little over $ 5. The breakfast sandwich was very good. The egg whites were moist and the black forest ham had very good flavor. The veggies were all fresh, especially the tomatoes which were great!( ) The whole wheat bread was good, but not as moist as I would of liked.( ) I am not sure if everyone knows they can get a pretty good breakfast at Subway these days. They also carry Seattle’s Best coffee which is pretty good. The service was good and the location was clean. Most importantly to me, the service was quick. Breakfast at Subway… give it a try!

The guys that work here are young so service here is good but not over the top friendly. But I’m ok with that. I’ve been here a few times and I haven’t had a problem with my order. You kind of know what to expect when you get subway. An interesting thing that the staff told me was you only get taxed if something is toasted. So for those that are trying to save the 45 cents or so that’s your tip for the day Overall: –Pros: Selection –Cons: It can get busy here during lunch
