I also «won» free bridal hair and makeup for my wedding day, but only needed my makeup done. I was on a budget and wanted natural makeup, so it was nice to have this one thing taken care of. Little did I know that it would be the worst experience from my wedding.
The trail was pricey ($ 90), and what I did not like is that the artist that did my makeup during the trial was not the same as on my wedding day. The artist on my wedding day had no idea what type of makeup I wanted. Two days after my wedding, I get a credit card charge for $ 170 instead of receiving my $ 100 deposit back…
Prices for the wedding day were NEVER discussed during the many telephone conversations or during the trial. Shame on me for actually thinking this would be «free». They also only emailed me the invoice after I emailed them about the charges. So I was not charged for make up, but charged for travel fees, admin fees, airbrush, and lashes. So my makeup end up being $ 270, plus $ 90 for the pointless trial. They want to hide the fact that they are actually making a lot of money from your «free» prize. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.
And the 2 five stars below, they are the company’s employees. If they were loyal to the «prize», I would have given more stars and maybe they wouldn’t need their own employees giving the company reviews.

I am one of those brides who won free bridal hair and makeup the day of my wedding. The only catch was to leave a $ 100 deposit. A few months before my wedding, they called me to set up a trail (which you pay for). The trial is a little pricey than more places, but if you are getting your hair and makeup on your wedding done for free, then it might be worth it. I ended up going with another company (for personal reasons, not due to Style Squad) so I cannot speak to the quality of their work, BUT getting my deposit was absolutely no hassle. They listened to my reason, were always professional and friendly and overall, it was a good experience. I would consider them for other events.

This place is ridiculous. I have never dealt with anyone like these people before.

Don’t fall for their FAKE offers. They’ll take your money, and then never provide the service that they promised.

All of the hair and makeup artist that are on team are extremely talented and all so nice! They really listen to what you are looking for with your hair and/​or makeup look. Great for any occasion!

I am not happy with this company .they have lied and taking money that did not belong to them. they have done weddings and did not keep to their promise. this company misleads clients in many ways. take my advice & be very very cautious when doing business with Style Squad San Diego. They want 2 charge for extra work when in fact some of the clients have already paid up front. they have done big wedding parties and they did not get what they ask for… when they ask credit for what was not received. well you use your imagination.
