Studio Bleu

Mikal is THE BEST! I don’t trust my hair to ANYONE ELSE! The color and cut are always perfect. He is the only person I have ever felt comfortable enough with to say «do whatever you think would look good!» LOVE LOVE LOVE STUDIO BLEU!!!

Shannon is amazing! I have never been so fully satisfied as I am with her! After seeing my (former) local hair stylist for several months, I realized the tangle I couldn’t get out of my hair was due to overbleaching! The hair dresser I had trusted so much had damaged my hair – it was time to move on! That’s when I turned to Shannon. She had a huge challange on her hands because not only did we have to start the process of nuturing the tresses back to health, but I wanted to go a shade darker. For hours, Shannon had her full attention to this process and the color turned out radiant! Immediately, I noticed the difference in my hair’s health. Shannon’s my girl!

I’ve been going to Supercuts in Hillcrest for well over 5 years now, seeing Juana. She has never done me wrong, and always does a fabulous job on my hair. However, yesterday I was walking around Hillcrest with one of my friends, and he told me that his friend Alex works at Studio Bleu and he wanted to go in and say hi to Alex. I couldn’t help but notice how happy all the customers were, and how fun the place looked, I especially loved all the glasses of wine going around in there, so I decided to give it a try.
Alex did a fabulous job on my hair, he knew exactly what I wanted, and gave it a whole new look, and I walked out of there feeling FIERCE! He took his time and did a perfect job, and he has a great personality! I really enjoyed the glass of wine too, it helped me to relax and enjoy my haircut. I can not wait to go back! Oh, btw, price-​wise this place is a little more expensive then Supercuts, but not a total rip off like some of the «other» places in Hillcrest. ;)

Alex you are a doll. He was one of my Starbuck’s regulars and knew I needed some extra help with my tresses. My hair dresser had moved away awhile ago and every other person I went to didn’t seem to add up. (Miss you Julie! Diesel misses you too!)
I have made my rounds in the salon circuit, Diesel and Hairdrezzers on Fire being what I frequented. But this salon was non-​pretentious and inviting. Especially with some wine to go with your hair. There’s an Andy Warholesque Marilyn painting that greets you at the door proclaiming: «You look a million!» The staff is very friendly, engaging everyone in conversation rather than concentrating solely on their clients. Very homey. It’s light, airy and clean and Alex gave me a style appropriate for me. If you’re looking for a new up and coming salon in Hillcrest (they’ve been open less than a year) then I definately suggest Alex at Studio Bleu next door to Wine Steals!
