This restaurant had very nice workers. Some of the people fill their bowls way too high and make a mess like just pay the extra $ 2 and get the all you can eat option. The food was okay. There should be more options to put in the bowls but overall I’ll give Stir Fresh a 2⁄5 mostly because of the nice workers.

My wife, two-year-old son, and I went to this place to get some lunch. The food was good. The service was good and the waitress was very friendly. We were promptly seated when we arrived and the cooks cooked our food very quickly. They provided us with a tiny cup of rice and some sesame seed bread with the meal. Once my food was ready I grab the cup of rice and found that the tiny cup had been completely consumed by my two-year-old. I kindly asked the waitress for another cup and she informed me that the restaurant had a policy of one cup of rice for two people. My wife politely asked if only one person was dining does that include a cup of rice as well. The waitress responded saying well they fill it up halfway if it’s only one person. I understand that times can be tough and restaurants do have to cut back but rice is extremely excessive in my opinion. I was so irritated with the owners policy that I didn’t even want to pay for another tiny cup of rice. Needless to say I ate my Mongolian barbecue without rice for the first time in my life. I suggest if anyone else enjoys eating Mongolian barbecue with Rice they bring their own bowl of rice because the portions at the restaurant will not be adequate for even your two-year-old.

This place is good – great variety of noodles, protein, and veggies, and they serve everything to you piping hot! I have no idea what the sesame bread is that they give you, but it tastes like nothing but I still find it delicious. Fast, friendly, service– however, take that 11am opening time with a grain of salt, if they’re not ready, they just don’t open the doors! We’ve waited until 11:20 to go in when the doors *clearly* post opening at 11. PROS Wide selection of everything if you smush your food with another bowl, your entrée could potentially be huge. CONS You have to practically add a bowl of the sauce to get flavor into your food Floating opening times.

Great food, great customer service. I’ve read lots of unwarranted complaints below. I’d definitely check this place out.

The chefs have a peculiar style of cooking where they put your uncooked meal on the grill then proceed to push the food around the entire grill as they walk in a circle around the grill. In essence they are mixing your food with the choices/sauces/spices from all the other diners whose bowl of stuff they plop next to yours. Round and around they walk around the grill while your recipe is sopping up whatever was in the bowl of the guy in front of you. Very weird. I have never seen this at any type of fresh grill as usually they keep each customer’s recipe separate. Will not return.

This place is very much like Genghis Grill in Oklahoma. It’s well organized and the cooks really have a great system in place. The rice is on the table as are sesame rolls. Not sure what you do if you want to make a second pass here but all in all it’s not a bad place to go for lunch, just get there early.

Very good food! Good bang for the buck. I love their meat selections and easy to follow instructions for the sauce chart. Great place for lunch or dinner.

Pros — Easy to understand set up. Spacious seating. Clean buffet. Friendly waitress Cons — I had to ask the manager when we were going to get our drinks after we had already gotten our food and started eating. Cooks don’t need to comment on someone’s frequent visits to the grill when it’s buffet style just because you don’t think they understand what you are saying — very tacky!

This place was ok. Service was friendly. The place was decent. The food was nothing great. You basically pick different types of meat, vegetables and sauces and the chefs just cooks it on a grill in front of you. The quality of meat is not that great. It’s 9.95 for a bowl, some rice and some dry flavorless sesame bread.

It’s good. You can customize your noodle dish well. All you can eat is only $ 2 more. All meals come with rice and delicious sesame breads. Notes: use lots of sauce. I under-sauced my first 3 times and the food was very bland. The Dragon Oil is really spicy. You only need like ½ a scoop for a whole meal.

Prelims: a nice and clean restaurant with a giant Mongolian grill smack in the center, Stir Fresh has a very clean and nice atmosphere. When I went with my wife, there wasn’t a major crowd, although it did get busier near the end of lunch hour. The prices were fairly reasonable, considering how much food you will want to eat(and the prices encourage you to eat more so that you can eat«what you paid for»). The service was average, considering all that they did was bring bread, water, and bill. Interestingly enough, it doesn’t smell that bad, even with a giant grill in the middle of the restaurant. I see a lot of reviews with three stars or less complaining about the taste. Let’s get this right — you put all your meat(frozen selection of beef, chicken pork, fish, squid), then veggies, then sauces and you give it to the guy that stir fries it on a giant flat top grill. The food is your creation — if it sucks, pick better food. The quality is average, but it’s an All You Can Eat, so stop whining. This place is all about the quantity and not the quality; so keep your expectations low and your belly empty. A few tricks — no noodles. Squash your meat so you can pack more. Use 2 bowls and flip one on the other to get it stacked as high as you can go. If you small eater, stick with the 1 bowl. If you eat like a chipmunk and pack everything into your cheeks, get the AYCE option. TL;DR it’s all about that meat, about that meat, about that meat. On a Mongo grill

I came here during lunch with some coworkers. I had always passed by this place when I am going to and from the 24 Hour Fitness for workouts and the Kaiser for when I have doctor appointments. This place is pretty good. You get one bowl and fill it up with as much stuff as you can between veggies and different meats including lamb, beef, chicken. There are also noodles and different sauces you can get. You take it up to the cooks and in the center of the selection area, there is a giant grill that is circular. The cooks take your selections and throw it on the grill. They take two spatulas and stir fry everything and move it along the circumference of the grill. For about $ 10, this is definitely good. it is healthy too. If you want AYCE style, it is only $ 2 more. I would definitely come back here. You can’t really beat this for price and quality.

This place is decent but it won’t knock your socks off. The good: They serve rice with your meal. They serve a sesame bread that is pretty tasty as well. Lastly they have a good selection and of proteins. They need help with: –need staff to clean the place and the food bar on very regular basis. It was absolutely a wreck and not very appetizing today. –Second, they need to have wax paper so that you can press down the meat as the bowls are fairly small. All in all it was tasty but as I ate I questioned how clean the kitchen/prep areas were. If the place was a disaster in view of customers it frightens me to think of behind the scenes.

Sadly this once unique, tastee and fun restaurant has started to slide. They have cut portions and the staff seems to have changed from Asian to Hispanic and become ruder and less friendly This was once a chosen stop between San Diego and the Inland Empire for lunch based on today’s visit we will have to rethink stopping here for a meal in the future Also noticed was the restaurant did not have near the number of customers as in the past. It appears there may be a problem On a positive note the food still seemed good 12÷20÷15. Traveling thru the area and decided to give this store another try Food good. Prices are as posted. Server friendly One negative item observed, restroom filthy, discarded paper on floor, room needed a general cleaning. Paper towels in dispenser all used so someone gad just put a roll on basin, paper wet from sink. Hope the rest of the sanitation in this business is better!

For all the picky eaters out there, this is a great casual place to go fill up your belly for a great price! It’s like Great Khan’s or the Mongolian BBQs at the mall food courts, except this is a sit-down restaurant with a huge selection + the option of AYCE for only $ 2 more! They’ve got beef, chicken, pork, lamb, shrimp, etc. There’s mushrooms, assorted veggies, corn, pineapple, broccoli, etc. As for sauce, you name it, I’m pretty sure they’ve got it, from lemon to garlic to chili to teriyaki to hoison to sriracha, etc. etc. Like Unilocaler CM Brad B & Unilocaler Jimmy D have already said, this place is a great place to go for a big lunch(or dinner) with either a small group or a large one. There’s plenty of space in here, and it’s the simplest concept! Fill up your bowl with veggies, proteins, carbs, etc. & then either put your sauce into the bowl(if you still have space) or mix up your sauce concoction in a small bowl. Wait to give your bowl of awesomeness to the stirfry masters & then VOILA! Yum! ***Pro Tips: Make sure you have enough sauce, otherwise water might get added to it and your sauce may get diluted. Squish in all your meat & other ingredients to make room for noodles & sauce. If you’re still hungry for more after your 1st bowl, go back for more, and your server automatically will charge you for the AYCE option. Personally, I find it hard to get past 1 bowl, but have at it! Overall, this place is legit. Plus, the staff work their @$$es off here and I can tell they take pride in their job. Tables are always clean and the manager is always running around refilling drinks and making sure everyone’s needs are met!

Great for AYCE Mongolian Stirfry. Fresh ingredients, good selection of proteins, well cooked. If you know your way around Mongolian stirfry and all it’s dirty little secrets to stuff a bowl to its absolute critical point, I think the single bowl option is enough for most people. If you’re a noob, get the AYCE option and practice. There isn’t anything in the buffet line that is useful for lining the rim so stick to packing the meat and softer vegetables before piling on the denser offerings. The restaurant is pretty clean. The buffet line is kept clear between scores of people coming through. The same goes for the grill. The chefs are pretty skilled. Minimal dropping of food. I swear the most heartbreaking thing to see is a piece of baby corn rolling off the edge. Beware of Dragon Oil. Two reasons. Firstly, if you like spicy food and add something like three scoops to your bowl(like me), it will pollute the grill and everyone will hate you for tainting their food. Second, everyone will hate you.

I love love love Mongolian food, and this place is pretty good. There are plenty of seats and plenty of room, even a side room that can accommodate a party of 20+. They offer all you can eat, or one round, or one bowl. I feel that one bowl is enough, especially if you know how to really PACK on the ingredients. The set up of the venue is nice. Two line can form to get the many choices of meats, vegetables, and sauces. Beef, pork, chicken, lamb, and sausage are some of the meat selections to choose from. There are way to many vegetables to list off. The secret to this place if you choose to have just one bowl: take an extra bowl and smash down the ingredients. Why??? well if you’re like me, I like to get my money’s worth. Plus, after you are done smashing the ingredients, you can make you own sauce with the extra bowl. If you choose to skip the noodles, they will serve you a cup of rice and some sesame bread. Great place, I will definitely come back. Service is ok. I know I came here on my lunch with my coworkers, but still I felt as though they assumed or treated us as if we were in-and-out.

We come here once in a while since our work is up the hill from there! I will say is a fun cool spot and great for large groups. this is Mongolian type of style eating — you get to pick meats, and various toppings set up along the food bar. grab two bowls! one for your meats/veggies/toppings and one for your sauce! Unless doing all you can eat. you can only put items into one of the bowls! the secret trick to use one bowl and place it on top of the other when that is half way full and push down to really compress those items! then boom! you have room for extra toppings! once this is done, you can start working on your mountain of food! I skip the noodles… not about that carb life! are you worried about how make a sauce or how spicy to make it! no worries, right above the sauce section there are instructions with how many scoops to do base on your level of spiciness. then over to the grill, they grab your sauce and toppings bowl and start cooking it. looking for some fun before your meal, then after tipping the cooks, you can and should ring the gong! … dont be afraid, hit it relatively hard so that everyone can hear it! lastly, they offer rice [ tiny portion size ] and a few –4 or 5 sesame seeds breads [ they are delicious !! ] lunch is usually around $ 8-$ 9.

Built for big eaters. The extra $ 2 for all you can eat is an incredible deal. Any athlete looking to put on clean protein weight should be all over this buffet option. I was anxious to get here and not that hungry, so I went with the single plate. Grab a bowl and get in line to grab my items. Big plus they offer lamb and sausage here. Excellent vegetables as well and the table was clean with the heavy traffic of people piling up their bowls. Loved the technique of the guy in front of me that used another bowl to compress the food in to his bowl. A little disappointing in flavor. All the ingredients I picked looked great. The cooks use too much oil while cooking it and feels a little gross with everything saturated in it. This place is a good alternative for everything in the area. I have a woman at work that offers mongolian grill 2 – 3 times a week and it’s much better. I can’t figure out why. Think they need to get better sauces. Nice that they give you bread and rice, but I’d trade those in instantly for a bigger bowl.

Date of Visit: 2÷21÷2015 Stir Fresh is one of my family’s go to restaurants for birthdays and other celebrations. If you make a reservation ahead of time, they have a large back room that cuts down on the noise(and makes your party less annoying to everyone else dining there). It’s also nice to be able to custom make your own meal. Almost everyone in my family is a pro at stacking ingredients, so for $ 11.95 you can get 2 – 3 meals. We came here for my cousin’s birthday celebration and were seated in the back room. There were no other parties, so it was nice to have a quiet area to talk to everyone. Once we were seated, our waiter stopped by to take our order and then we went to go make our food. My go to combination is tofu, carrots, zucchini, pineapples, broccoli, and noodles. For the sauce, I like 3 scoops of stir fresh sauce, 2 scoops of soy sauce, 3 scoops of teriyaki sauce, 1 scoop of garlic, 1 scoop of sesame oil, and 1 scoop of dragon oil(with ample red pepper flakes for the spice). The one downside is that your table gets a specified amount of sesame bread. Once you have eaten all of that bread, you need to pay for the extra bread that they bring you. It used to be complimentary a few years ago, but I guess too many people were taking advantage of it. The sesame bread is my cousin’s favorite part of this restaurant. We also ordered several orders of the egg rolls and fried dumplings. Those are pretty good, but are pretty typical. A word of warning on the dragon oil — if you have members of your party that are sensitive to spicy, make sure they go ahead of you so they can get their food prepared first before you spice the entire grill. I used to be really sensitive to spicy food when I was younger and hated it when the grill was spicy from the dragon oil. Overall, I love Stir Fresh. When I worked in the area, I used to come here for lunch since it would last for a couple of lunches. Since the everything is customizable, you have full control(sans cooking) of what you want.
