For the first time at any starbucks I saw a manager ask someone that had came in and never bought anything to move outside so a customer could have a seat. I spend a lot of time and more than a little money at different ones around the city and it gets really old standing and drinking/eating while most of the tables have been taken up by people that don’t buy anything, thank you so much kat.

Really like this Starbucks, I work in the area and spend a decent amount of time here. People are always friendly and it is always cleaned up. I just had to mention what happened today because it truly disappointed me. There’s a few people that are clearly regulars here, they sit in the corners and keep to themselves. But today a women, I believe a manager went up to one of them and asked them to leave because it was their«busy time» so they wanted to keep tables open. Mind you this man had bought something and had it with him at his table, still not all the way gone. The man stood up and gathered his things and made a comment along the lines«of watch out they will kick you out if your here longer then they like» which I replied«I’ve noticed» and he walked out.(That was my response because this isn’t the first time I’ve seen this lady go ask someone to leave when they are minding their own business and thee ARE tables OPEN if others do happen to come.) Then the same women goes up to a man she had pushed two tables together for him and closed the shader, she clearly knew him. He was here a half hour or 45 mins and when he was getting up to leave she walked over and ask with a loud tone«your leaving already, why not be normal and stay a couple hours» and they both started laughing. It was an obvious dig at me due to my exchange with the man she had leave. VERY unprofessional and flat out rude. Usually their are blonde males working when I’m here and thy are very friendly and welcoming. They even have a good exchange of words with the man she had leave because he comes here and buys something almost daily. A much different feel when they are working compared to her being here. Will probably choose another place to spend my time on the days she’s here.

Its a good location and not as congested as the one a block away. Most of the baristas are very friendly and the drinks I’ve ordered have been well made with no complaints. The outdoor patio is spacious and a good spot to sit down a spell and relax. The tables outside desperately need to be wiped down regularly. Not sure who’s responsibility it is to clean up but someone needs to get on task here. Many times these tables are sticky, stained and downright disgusting. Also, in the mornings we have a cluster of entitled, white gay guys that like to have their unleashed dogs run around while they play ball-catch with them despite the single«dogs must be leashed» sign posted literally three feet away. Talk about having zero regard for patrons walking in and out of Starbucks while these animals hop around. A nurse from UCSD almost fell on her face a few months ago as she was walking out with a tray of drinks. The dog by the name of Kyle or Kelly got right in front of her path as it was running back and forth. This is a huge liability not only for the property owners and Starbucks, but also for the pet owner who’s blatant disregard for others safety can cost him dearly if he’s sued. I also see security not enforcing this policy whatsoever which only adds to the permissibility of this issue.

I’d order my drink and pronounce it as dolche. I did not think twice about the barrista repeating it to me as dolsee. After an order the drink is told once to the barrista making the order. What came next was the word dolce being said many times over and loud enough as to be meant for me to hear. «Oh do you have that order for the DOLSEE?» «Yes, I got that order for the DOLSEE.» «I’ll make that DOLSEE now.» Essentially I got bullied by an entire Starbucks. I stopped ordering it after the drink began to be made every time tasting bitter like baking power or soap.
