I love the location of the starbucks. Most of the staff are friendly to me. This place gets very busy and waiting for the order takes longer than usual. There are some annoyances about asking the code in the bathroom. Of course i purchased first before i asked. There are some instances where i was given a wrong code by the nice lady in the register and i have to go back and forth to ask for the right one.

How does starbucks have anything less than 5 stars? I go to this starbucks everyday(ok embarrassing I said that out loud) The ladies here are so sweet and upbeat. When I see the crazy lines I want to cry for them haha. Yes there are always homeless people out front but this is hillcrest– they are everywhere thats city life for ya. Thanks for giving me life starbucks!!!

This is what I wrote on my owner personal Facebook page regard my experience at this Starbucks: Sometimes we wonder«What happened to the good old days? When strangers went out of their way for others in random acts of kindness.» Well this morning I stopped by my neighborhood Starbucks at 6th& Robinson and an elderly woman named Nora was at the register when one of the Starbucks employees rushed over to her, helped her retrieve her debit card from her wallet and informed her«your all set at the table right there» where he had already placed her chocolate chip cookie, banana and coffee on the table. I found this to be so kind my eyes welled up and I had a hard time ordering my drink without breaking down. I simply told the barista«your awesome». The good old days are here and I am happy to be a part of them.

Went here with my friends last night and we had an awful experience. My friend really had to go to the bathroom and she really rudely said«ummmm well do you think you’re going to be a customer???» We said yes, and she finally gave us the code for the bathroom lock while glaring us down. By the way, the bathroom was gross even with a lock and the toilet paper was all out! My friend who works at Teavana ordered the Matcha tea which he makes for himself at work all the time. He said to was disgusting, and he watched her make it and she made it all wrong. You have to froth the matcha for at least a minute before mixing, and she just put it right in and gave it to him. Hardly anyone was even in that store. She was just giving us a hard time and was being rude the whole time. Maybe she’s new but making a customer a sloppy drink when no one else is even in line is embarrassing. Unfortunately I don’t remember her name.

Everybody needs coffee and Starbucks is the place to go. I’ve never had an issue here before. The staff is always nice and quick with the drink orders. I’ve sat and had a quick lunch here once before to take advantage of their free wifi. Nice for a quick coffee pick me up but I wouldn’t plan on staying long. Just as a side note if your not familiar with this area of Hillcrest, there is a large homeless population. So don’t be surprised if you see them inside Starbucks or hanging outside.

One of the best Starbucks ever, the coffe is good, and also if sometimes is busy the service is clean and fast, ac and really fast connection wi-fi, inside also if is full of people you can still ear the voice of the employee, the silence is the King and that AC is his Queen. Love this location, much respect and thank you.

A Starbucks is a Starbucks, right? You’d have to be trying pretty damn hard to have avoided the Starbucks experience at this point so what could I possibly add that hasn’t already been said a thousand times before? The Starbucks Franchise is a well-oiled corporate machine making for a more or less standardized experience no matter which location you visit. Be it street front shop, a kiosk inside a grocery store, or nestled within a bookstore(probably my personal favorite), there is no surprise as to what you can expect. But the corporate wheels can only be turned by the harmonious functioning of an efficient set of gears cooperating together in order to bring the behemoth to life. The powerhouse behind any company is the group of employees that run it. And the people at this particular location should be commended for their success in this matter. I’m inclined to give this spot a 3-star rating due to the bums that camp outside the door and the ceaseless canvassing of whatever NPO is attempting to guilt you into giving them money. It’s not very welcoming to have to side step these obstacles; I know *I* don’t appreciate the dude in the red shirt intercepting me with«Wouldn’t you rather spend the money you’re about to use on getting a coffee on saving the starving children?» It’s bad form. You don’t know what I’m about, guy. Nor do you have any understanding of my situation or what I may or may not already be contributing to society. I know he’s doing a job, but UGH! I am also well aware that this is not Starbucks’ fault, but I still find myself questioning if I REALLY want to be bothered getting my coffee when I see the redshirts about, which is often. And sometimes I just turn around when I see them. What bumps it up to a 4 star rating for me is the team running this location. This corner is always busy. Always. But they always keep it moving forward. And while you may not receive your coffee instantaneously, it doesn’t take unreasonably long regardless of the line that stretches before you. They are always prompt and professional even when dealing with that ONE customer. If you’ve worked in any part of the service industry than you know what I’m talking about… The customer that takes an hour to spit out their order regardless of how long they had in line to make up their mind. Or the one that, ignoring the outstretched hand waiting to receive payment, flings their money on the counter and refuses to make eye contact. Or the one that remains on their phone for the duration of the interaction and treats the cashier as an inconvenience for interrupting their conversation. I could drone one, but I’ll refrain. You get the picture. The point is, I’ve SEEN all of these types ANDMORE standing before me at this Starbucks and each time the cashier maintains an admirable level of professionalism while managing to somehow covertly convey their non-verbal apologies to the person waiting behind That One Customer. Friendly and fast, this team has is together. I’ve heard them call out customers by name as they approach the counter. They are ALWAYS attentive and friendly to whoever should walk through the door. They make this spot worthwhile for me. That and my addiction to raspberry mochas. Validated parking is a plus. As to the bad reviews because the employees followed company procedure by not giving you the bathroom code without purchasing an item, I sincerely hope that is your attempt at dry humor infused performance art… THIS is what gets you so bent out of shape? Hilarious. There are signs clearly posted as you enter proclaiming the oh-so-common practice of «customers only»; you are not an exception to the rule. Next time, if you really have to go *that* bad, I’d suggest immediately leaving and trying to find another establishment that has PUBLIC restrooms instead of wasting your time with your futile arguments while your bladder threatens to breach it’s max capacity.

My mom wanted to go to the bathroom and we were next door at Jamba Juice and she went over and they kicked her out even though we bought starbucks coffee this morning as we have every morning this week. Such a lousy move. This tainted my opinion of starbucks and im from seattle for goodness sakes!

The staff at this Starbucks are rude and unsanitary, there was one barista who continued to cough into her hand near the machines and drinks that were being made and when we asked if she would wash her hands before going back to making drinks she caught the most disgusting attitude, pretty much saying she wasn’t worried about washing her hands because she was taking out the trash, wow just disgusting.

As I had about an hour of down time today, I headed over to the Starbucks on 5th and Robinson for an Americano to give me the shot to my veins that I needed before teaching a group exercise class! To start the location is great in that it is central to most other places to Starbucks, though the parking is very challenging. Additionally, the seating fluctuates drastically between different hours of the day. Nonetheless, the baristas were helpful and friendly. They asked appropriate follow up questions about my order. One observation of the client is that there is a large homeless population that eats or drinks at this Starbucks, so it is certainly important to know that you may encounter a different Starbucks crowd compared to other locations. This place is A-OK for a quick stop to grab for caffeine fix, but extended seating is at your own risk.

Some of the baristas here are really rude. I had ordered food and was almost done when I needed to use the restroom. The line for the register was almost to the door, when I asked the barista at the bar what the bathroom code was she said I had to wait in line and ask the register clerk’ «[i] can’t help you — she can»(I’m clean dressed and hardly look like a bum and had my current starbucks in hand.) I waited for 10 min in that line to get the stupid code, when I really had to go. Side note, by the time I got the code there was 6 girls in line for the bathroom that had previously no line. I don’t plan to ever return to this starbucks. P. S. Aria was at the checkout counter and was pleasant, the other barista was curt and rude

Some of the baristas at this location are really unpleasant. I was doing some contracting work at a nearby business and came here fairly regularly. about twice a week. A female barista in particular is very snippy, sarcastic and you can tell she really just hates her life. She talks over people when she can’t hear them and cuts them off in midsentence. She’s just a pissy, nasty woman and has no business serving the public. That’s fine, hate your life but at least smile and keep your big mouth shut when your taking someone’s money. Oh and heaven forbid you need to use the bathroom. No one appears to have the code. A shift manager at another Starbucks down on University informed me this location really struggles with customer service and has a history of negative complaints. Based on what I’ve seen and experienced, I believe it.

I know more about what a Starbucks should be than most people who know buffalo wings are made from real buffalo. With that in mind, I must say that this location is not up to par on the Starbucks experience compared to other locations. The baristas are professional but not at all that interactive and welcoming. Needless to say, I feel like I’m going to your average run of the mill coffee shop rather than the«third place.» And if I’m paying Starbucks prices then I expect the whole shabang! Also, this place can prove to be a nightmare if you’re traveling by car since this area is very congested. There is parking in the back but depending on the time of day, you may want to just pass either park across the street or just head to another store. The bright spot is the layout, which is pleasantly spacious. Overall, I have to say that if you are a Starbucks fan and/or enjoy some great customer service, then you may want to pass this one up.

They’re always so busy and understaffed. Idk what it is but they’re always rude/unfriendly — just the register people… I feel rushed to get my order in but it takes them 10−15mins to make the drink.

If you are looking for a place to study, this is not the place to be unless you can afford the parking ha This place was somewhat packed when we arrived. There was definitely a line. My sister and I went in and ordered our drinks through the barista. There was definitely a wait. When it came time to picking up our order, our drinks came out as ice coffee instead of fraps. Luckily, the staff were quick and got them done quick. The Salted Caramel Chocolate Crème Frappuccino looks like it would taste gross when it came out in ice instead of a frap. I don’t like anything too chocolatey… but when it was changed to a frap and I tried it, it was so delicious. Probably because it hit the sweet and salty taste buds. I sipped that thing like it was water. I do recommend this drink to anyone, except those who have diabetes and high blood pressure. This drink would definitely make your levels spike. Restroom: you need a long code from the staff members. I guess people do abuse the restrooms here or something. Parking: it’s free in the parking lot for the 1st15 minutes, then you have to pay. My sister and I parked at the meters because we didn’t know, but when we found out we could park free, we were too lazy to move the car.

I really love this location. I’ve been working in the area for almost two years now and no matter how many new employees i’ve met at this store in that time, they’re all so friendly and efficient. Even when there is a line they manage to look up and greet whoever walks in. I never notice how long i’m standing there for even when the line wraps around and reaches the entrance because they move quickly. Let’s be honest, too… most of the time when there is a line backed up it’s because the customers can’t make up their mind or are ordering for a whole office of their co-workers(i’m guilty of that). In terms of drink accuracy, I’ve only ever asked for my drink to be re-made once that I can recall. I come here on average 3 days a week and they never miss a beat. Convenience-wise, there is parking on the street and in a decent-sized lot adjacent to the Jamba Juice next door on Robinson. If you work or live nearby, take advantage of the fact that you can walk over and enjoy some nice scenery in the tree-lined block of 5th ave that it’s located on. They have a bathroom, but due to the high foot traffic in the area, there is a code for customers to use it. All things considered, I couldn’t ask for more! Their recent remodel over the summer made it much more functional too, so that’s a plus!

Place of business, sure. Turning me away to use the restroom. Terrible. How awful. Seriously I feel like a pariah. Shame on you counter guy. I really have to go. I called the store and the manager told me that I could be going in the restroom to wipe fecal matter on the walls or sell drugs. I asked for her first and last name so I could report her and she said it was illegal to ask. I asked for her employees name who turned me away and same response. I emailed Starbucks and they apologized. I have not been to a Starbucks since unless someone else was buying. I am disgusted by how I was treated.

Not a bad Starbucks, and definitely a very busy one. Seriously, every time I have visited, there has been a line to the door. They are certainly bringing in the money at this location. For being a such a busy place, the employees are quick to take the orders, but they are a little slow getting them out, even just to pour a cup of coffee with no room. The end result each time however, has been a good product, that satisfies my needs, so hats of to the employees who work at this very busy Starbucks. Keep that coffee coming. The bathroom require a pin number which you get at the register, and there is no private parking lot, so that is a hassle if you are driving by and thinking of stopping by. This is definitely a local Starbucks for those who live nearby.
