This is by far the worst Starbucks I’ve ever been to. I guess it’s because of the large bum population in San Diego. It seems that if you need to use the restroom at any location in San Diego you need to bring your own toilet paper. Their restroom was filthy and there was no toilet paper. I told a barista and she said«I’ll take care of it later«. It’s good she took care of it within a few minutes. The overall cleanliness of the store was dirty. I doubt I will return.

We came in because we were waiting for the Haunted Hotel experience and wanted to enjoy something warm. I don’t remember the name of the lady that helped us, but she didn’t have the best customer service. She gave off a bit of attitude during my order and didn’t make me feel welcomed. While we waited for our order we did see that the store was clean and organized and there was someone going around making sure everything was clean. I give this store two stars because our orders were made well and the store was clean and organized. I’m not sure if it’s because of the location or time of day, but coming from this experience I don’t feel the need to go back to this Starbucks location any time soon.

My first worst customer service experience ever at a Starbucks! The girl was so disrespectful, rolling her eyes on every costumer that walk in that was just disturbing! After taking my order she dissent even ask for my name, not mention that she never greeted me once I walk up to the cashier! Not that Some ghetto girl trying to be white with her fake long blond hair! ;(

Went to Starbucks last night to have a passion fruit tea. The service was great, the store was clean and my drink was delicious! I was a happy lady

I love the customer service here! The employees always remember their customers. This is a store where customer service is truly appreciated. I always get a vente iced coffee half milk with 12 pumps of sweetener and it is always made to perfection. This Starbucks has to be my favorite one.

Rude, rude, rude!!! Awful service!!! Barista thinks that she owns the place!!! You are paying high price for a crappy cup of coffee! And can’t even get a how are you or a smile. How I hate how these chains think they better than they are. Sad.

Without a doubt, it’s simply your standard Starbucks, yet we halted in for espresso one night. The staff was truly well disposed and the whole store was spotless! What’s decent about this area was the accessibility of electrical plugs around the tables and window counter bar. Truly, how cool is that? So now you can work and listen to music, all while jazzed up! I requested a tall latte that was made splendidly. The beverages were made quick and precisely. We sat at one of the high-top tables inside and individuals watched bystander on the walkway. The store was spotless, the staff were agreeable, and the bathrooms were unadulterated. I’m not certain what else you require?

Cam and I came in here after The Great Room Escape because it was really hot and I wanted an iced tea lemonade to cool down. Since it was around 8:30pm when we got in, there was no line and I was able to order my drink really quickly. The staffer was extremely friendly and got my drink out immediately. Considering this was at the end of the day in downtown, I was expecting the store to be a little dirty, but everything was clean. The staff also seemed to be extremely efficient. As always, it tasted like the usual drink I get.

As our adventure in SD was calming down, we came to Starbucks to get some drinks for the drive home. Since we had a huge meal less than an hour prior, we opted for some iced green teas. The staff here was cool, the place was clean, and the clientele was pleasant. I would say it is one of the better run Starbucks locations that I’ve been to. I’ll be sure to come here for my coffee needs when I come to downtown SD again.

Service was truly awesome. The baristas were very welcoming and hard working. If you need an outlet make sure to sit by the window. The reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because the internet is faster if you sit away from where the outlets are, there are a few strange characters who were hanging out there and obviously the parking in this area is also a hastle. This location is walking distance to a lot of great places to eat, drink and people watch. If you have any serious work to get done then look elsewhere but if you are simply coming for a drink in between fun then this starbucks is a good place to come.

The worst Starbucks I have ever been to in my life. Didn’t even let me finish saying my order before trying to ring me up in mid sentence. The cashier was so rude to me when I told her I also wanted a sandwich. Then they got my order wrong. And when I asked to get it fixed I was given the worst attitude. I ordered a iced tea with 4 raspberry pumps and they put two. They didn’t even reshake it. She opened the Lid and put one more pump right on top and handed it back to me. Don’t go here. The service and drinks are terrible. They wouldn’t even give a lady a bathroom code. They looked at her and just were rude. Worst customer service I have ever had. And I work in retail. Don’t go here! Go to the Starbucks on 5th avenue!

The coffee was Starbucks coffee and the food was Starbucks food. The staff was super crabby– all of them. Not one smile. And, the wifi didn’t work. The whole reason we came was for the wifi so that was pretty annoying.

Minus minus FFFF!!! Horrid staff, lack of people skills, bad drinks, weirdo alerts and it’s… Gaslamp? It’s supposed to be top notch and sweet! Sour, rotten nothingness!

When we walked in, we had our doubts. There were a lot of homeless people hanging around the establishment. However, they even opened the door for us and did not smell bad at all. The lady behind the counter very friendly and gave us great advice. Overall, I think it was a good experience.

I come here all the time now and love this starbucks. All the employees are super nice. They always get my drink right, they even know what I want when I come in. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is there are home less people everywhere. They sit inside, outside, and sometimes it feels really dirty. It is gaslamp and on 5th so I do understand why, but sometimes I don’t like to sit there to read or enjoy my coffee. It’s a good starbucks for good service, fast coffee and to get your coffee and go.

I frequent Starbucks daily and never have anything bad to say about the bucks because I love it, but this Starbucks is THEWORST. Not only forgot to make 1 of my 2 drinks but also argued with another customer about his drink. No sorry, no acknowledgment just talked back to him and was rude. Better staff training is needed.

Despite it’s proximity, I try to stay away. I prefer the smaller coffee shops in the area, but sometimes, Starbucks is the only thing open and available. I guess that’s a good thing about them. They’ve got extended hours, so they’re open later than the typical store. And… uhm. There’s also… And then there’s… Yeah, I got nothing. They did a remodel a while ago, in which they tore out all the«normal» tables in favor for the tall, small bar tables and a long line of counter space against the window. It so very clearly screams out, «We want your money, but we don’t want you to get comfortable, or stay for a very long time!» Also, whenever I go in here, I notice a smell. I know it can’t be in my head, because it’s *every time*. It’s like a spoiled milk, dirty water kind of smell. And more often than not, the floors feel tacky. I don’t even want to know what it is I’m sticking to. Very unappealing. The employees are hit and miss, just like at any establishment.

I am not that fan of Starbucks and prefer local coffee shops(no chains), but being Thanksgiving and almost everything closed, this Starbucks was the best bet for a caffeine fix. Besides, it is in a very nice location and is one of the prettiest ones, from the glass work on the façade, that makes it look kind of Art Deco style, to the nice disposition of the tables inside, where the space is well maximized, to the possibility to see facing the big windows and do some people watching while having your latte or checking your email. Very clean restrooms and nice looking patrons there. Is actually my first time at this location as I found it always super crowded, so it was nice to be there where only 4 cats were hanging around!
