I love Splash. No need to hide it. So for a night cap I asked J if she wanted to grab a glass of wine. She smiled and said yes so as it was a little chilly I put my arm around her and we walked in. Love, Love, Love the remodel. Seriously You hit it out the park Splash! Very welcoming environment and Michael was such a doll helping us with selection and notes. We ended up grabbing a beautiful glass of cab each and sat in one of their new booths. Usually when i go here with a woman we play some of their board games while we enjoy wine, but tonight I was all in on the conversation and experience. One of these days I’ll come back and play drunk uno. People this is the spot to have some nice wine, meet some cool people and be in the heart of NP while doing so.

Date of visit: 1÷16÷2016 I’ve been doing some research on wine dispensing machines and found Splash Wine Lounge through Unilocal.I decided to drag a group of my friends out to Splash Wine and have them try out the different wines. Although most of them are beer drinkers, I do have some friends that will sit down and enjoy a glass of wine with me. Being able to try different types of wines was also really cool, since I don’t always like having to try a whole glass that I may not like. I made a reservation through their Unilocal page and everything went smoothly. Although half my friends were late, the staff was super understanding and came back periodically to check on us and answer any questions we had. You typically have to order food and drinks at the bar in the back, but the staff came by our table once in a while. We were all able to open separate tabs, which made closing out at the end of the night really easy, but the since point of service also caused some lines with waiting as well. Happy hour is definitely a great deal here. Their Spinach and Artichoke Dip was AMAZING. I ordered 2 orders of this(only $ 5 during happy hour!) for the table to share. I also ordered Cam a cheese plate, which he really enjoyed, and a flat bread for the table to share, which was also really good. I really loved the balsamic reduction. Most of us decided to go for the happy hour special, which is $ 20.01. This includes a $ 20 splash card that you can use for tasters and a glass of wine for a penny. This was also a great deal and most of the wines off of the happy hour menu were great. Overall, Splash Wine is definitely worth a visit, especially if you like wine tasting. They have a parking lot in the back, which is free for 2 hours. The staff here is also super friendly.

I have mixed feelings about this place. They have probably 40 – 50 wines available to «taste» that range from $ 0.99 to $ 13.50 for about 3 sips worth. They do have an advertised policy that requests that you only use one glass, which requires that you constantly mix new wines with the previous wine residue(eh.). The flatbreads are all heavy but delicious and their spinach and artichoke dip was to die for. That being said, this is a great place for ladies night but not for someone serious about wine. I did appreciate that they mark the sweet wines so I knew which ones to steer clear from.

Great little wine bar with a really good happy hour. 5 dollar glasses of wine or 3 dollar blue moons and the flat breads are also really yummy and only 10 dollars for a full size(5 for half). Service was friendly and the music was great and not to loud. I would definitely go back.

Let me just say that, before everything else, the MUSIC selection of this place is amazing. From Frank Sinatra to Louis Armstrong, and some Etta James in between, this is the kind of music you want to hear on an environment like that. I was blown away. I was having a really good conversation but had to interrupt it several times to sing along. Five starts for that. The concept is cool. Wine tasting, you pick what you want and get about two sips of it. Atmosphere is ideal for dates and I love the low lights. Décor is cool, place is small but very cozy. We didn’t get food but the service was very friendly(forgot the guy’s name, but he had long braided hair) and I love that he greeted us with«welcome to the party» when we sat down. Awesome guy. Wine selection is good but not mind blowing. I was expecting a bit more for whites, but not the end of the world. Overall, this is a great spot for a date, a casual evening out with friends and if you’re like me, an aficionado for old school music, this is also a great place to delight on some pretty cool tunes. Will certainly be back.

I loved this place! It’s so different than the other bars/restaurants in Northpark. Their flattbreads were super good too. Definitely would recommend it. Also, their afternoons are not very busy at all.

This place is so awesome! You do your own wine tastings! I mean come on! That’s awesome! I love the décor as well. They have a very cool white leather couch setup that just screams sit and have some wine and relax! We tried a flatbread that had tomatoes, balsamic, and mozzarella. It was pretty good. Definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a wine bar! Everyone needs a good wine bar!

What a cool concept! Obviously a great location with cool shops and other great bars/restaurants around it, but to be able to try many different wines for cheap(starting at .99 an ounce) was very cool! They had board games under the tables, and interesting décor, would be great for a group to hang out! Last time, we brought my mother in law who was visiting from out of town and we had a great time. We had already had dinner but the food that past us looked great and seemed to be well-priced! We were also told about a dinner and wine special that they run that sounded great for a date. Overall cool concept, and cool place! Will likely try their date-night special soon!

Very nice place to hang out or to do on a date night. The space can feel tight if there a lot of people. You can fill a card with the amount of choose and try out different wines throughout the bar, each with there price and description. Nice way to try out different wines to see what you like or experiment. The gluten-free pizza looked and smelled delicious as I saw it being brought out to others. Definitely will try next time. Enjoyed their red sangria, white is available as well. We had a plate of bread with a goat-cheese dip, was perfect with our wine.

The first thing you need to know is that this is a wine tasting bar, it has wine on tap — the ‘vending machine’ delivers small servings of wine, 1 ounce per serving, an average of $ 2 per serving(of course, the price varies depending on the wine). The place has a decent wine collection, some 100 wines(I ain’t any wino, so don’t get upset if that ain’t enough for you fancy-pants .j/k). And you pay the vending machine using a card you can buy for whatever $$ amount you want to. Their flat breads are pretty big — for most people, one would suffice for two. Now, the part no one is talking about :) — I could not really figure out whether the place is self service or what. I don’t even remember a host greeting us, pretty much all of the staff was at the back/bar, kinda doing their ‘own thing’. I placed the order for the food at the bar, and then a server brought the food to our table — don’t know whether qualifies as self service or not ! However, pretty good overall.

This small self serve wine bar was pretty interesting. Came here with my man, his sister & her husband as a double date. The entrance is very misleading, we thought the ladies in the front of the stores were workers. We then notice that the register was at the very end of the store. It’s kind of dim in here, so it’s hard to read some signs on the ceilings. My sister in-law bought about $ 70 worth of wine(on the card), cheese & meat sampler and olive oil with bread. It was enough for the four of us but I find it bit expensive. For the wines, you have to insert your ‘card’ into the machine and press the button of the choice of wine you’d like to drink. It’s 1oz per push of a button. All the wines have different prices and it has a description of each wine right above the bottles. I tried all the«staff’s fav» and«yum» wines… we didn’t like them at all. I guess everyone has different opinions. Lastly, all the white wines are in a refrigerated glass display. As for the interior, it was pretty clean and I really liked the dark classy atmosphere. Sadly, some of the tall wooden chair’s legs were shaky. It seemed pretty darn dangerous, Should consider checking all the chairs and fix the ones with shaky legs. Also, the noise level was okay, not too loud and not too quite, It was pretty filled up for a Monday night. I’m actually considering to bring my parents here for a fun family night. My dad is a wine freak just like me, and this kind of a place is heaven for us. I recommend this place for those who are looking for a chill, classy wine tasting store that is not in a grape farm lol

This is a review for the WINEONTAP experience only because I didn’t bother with the food. Yes, you heard me correctly… wine on tap? Is that a thing? I’m no wine drinker and very much a beer snob so this is how I’ll term it. ;) In any case, you walk in, load a card with credits and pour away. There are basically four stations from what I could gather. The station near the entrance holds the cheaper wines(between $ 0.99 to $ 1.99 a taste) while the other two stations beyond that have the more expensive pours. And even further near the back is a row which holds ‘dessert’ wines. Look around to see what wine you’d like to try, stick your card into the slot, push the button, and like magic you receive a pour. In my opinion, pours are measly but maybe this is the typical ‘taste’ of wine. The ambiance is very hipster and urban, but very relaxing and chill. In definite contrast to Seven Grand across the street, so a nice addition to the night scene environment. As a note, they allowed us to keep our card with unused credits. You’re allowed to redeem any purchased credits up to a year after purchasing! I call that a deal!

I know nothing of wine and after that night… I still don’t. I must say though, it was a different experience. I’ve never went to a wine lounge before and I wouldn’t be opposed to coming back again. I just have to force myself to love red wine instead of just white. The have complementary bread and you can also pick out different olive oils to use for it. I chose this one that was made in Spain and oh my gosh. It was DELICIOUS. Needless to say, I stuffed my face with bread and that God sent olive oil. Overall, great atmosphere. quirky wine tasting idea, great for girls night out or a date night.

Came here on Monday night with a few friends to try it out. I have heard good things about this place and the concept. It has a nice dim lighting for a great evening drink or romantic feel. When you first enter you have to go to the front and put a balance on your card so you can pay as you go. We tried a bunch of wines and they were all very good! They also have olive oil you get buy too and they bring you bread upon request. We didn’t get any food but it looked really good from what I saw people eating. The reason this cool place in north park gets 2 stars is because of service and friendliness. I have worked in the food industry for years and it was a bad experience on that part. The lady working the bar/counter was very condescending in her remarks and seemed to be laughing at our questions considering we had never been there before. About 30 minutes before closing we thought about getting a bottle to split between 4 people which is about s glass each. She came over and told us they close in 30 minutes and that she didn’t recommend us getting the bottle because she didn’t want us «chugging» and she put it. She made us feel un-welcomed and that as soon as 10 hit we were kicked out. Overall I probably won’t come back here unless one of my friends is hell bent on going there, I would like to explore other options. She could have made our evening very memorable but instead it left a bad taste in our mouth because she wanted to start closing early and get us out by 10 sharp even though there were other people in there as well.

What a fun experience here at Splash Wine Lounge! I love that you can either pay for a card and get a «Splash»(1oz) from a variety of different wines or you can buy a glass /bottle of a certain wine. I also love that I get to taste test different types of wine before purchasing a full size bottle to take home with me. If you enjoy wine like I do, and looking for a modern take at wine tasting, you absolutely have to try out Splash.

Went here with my girlfriends for an afternoon of day drinking. Ive never been wine tasting in a restaurant/lounge before and I absolutely LOVED the experience. You basically buy a card that gives you credit which you can use to try the different wines. Kind of like an atm for wine! It was so much fun and the bartenders were great in offering us choices to pick! You can also use your credit to buy different olive oil to try in which they provide the bread. great place to go with your girls!

If you love wine, you have to go here! There are three different wine wheels and they go up in price, so just remember, the spendier ones add up quick :). But if you just get the $ 20 happy hour card that’s a pretty good deal and you can get plentyyyy of selection. Another nice thing is any money you don’t finish in your card, you just get to keep for next time(like Dave and Busters but way more exciting!) Their food is really good as well. I recommend the cheese platter; it’s definitely on the spendier side but it’s huge and delicious!

Splash is a fun yet relaxing environment. You have your choice to sample an array of wine, or to get a glass or even a bottle. We decided to get a glass and some food. I drank a Cabernet which was delicious. Would definitely get it again. We got the goat cheese appetizer which was delicious; it was served with the perfect amount of bread. There are two reasons in which we gave four stars instead of five. One being that the bill was larger than we expected! The other was that although the we were served at our table, we were confused about whether or. It we were supposed to order from the bar area of from our table. When we were done eating and drinking, and wanted to leave, a huge line of people came into the restaurant and were waiting in the bar line, making it impossible for our server to help us with getting the check. We had to wait for the line to finish, and then we walked up to the bar to get our check. Our server was very nice and friendly!

I love this place. When a few of my friends first discovered Splash back in October I was immediately hooked. The concept behind this restaurant is great because I can try a bunch of different wines without breaking the bank. If you do find a wine that you like odds are they’ll have a bottle of it for you to take home with you, I did that with a bottle called Reckless Love which is a great Cabernet and it wasn’t too expensive. Their food is good too and is reasonably priced. Generally what I do it each one of us in the group gets an appetizer and we all split it. Its not a full meal, more like appetizers so don’t come here starving.

I really can’t express how much in love I am with Splash Wine Lounge. In fact, it may be my new favorite destination in North Park, an area of town that I sadly don’t have opportunity to visit often, for whatever reason. The first time I visited Splash was for a friend’s after-dinner-birthday social hour. Oodles of wine dispensary machines are peppered throughout the space, and each customer can imbibe at his/her pleasure after purchasing a dispensary card with one of the clerks. This is a great way to explore a variety of wines. We really had fun with it. If using the dispensing machines is not your cup of tea, you can also just order a regular glass of wine – or a bottle – off of their menu. My second visit was even better where I had a chance to enjoy several glasses of their red elixir AND take advantage of their phenomenal food menu. We started with the Spinach & Artichoke Dip. BLISS! The accompanying bread was amazing. We moved on to the flatbread menu. They are quite possibly some of the best flatbreads, outside of the one’s found at Gossip Grill, that I’ve experienced in recent memory. My dining companion and I both shared the BBQ Chicken and Meaty Spectacular. We devoured them in short order. Service? The staff are ridiculously sweet and welcoming. A great environment that I would undoubtedly immerse myself in regularly if I lived in the immediate area. I can’t wait to find an excuse to go back.
