I’m very mixed with writing this review. I would give them 5 stars if I was only rating the food. We used them as the caterer for our wedding, and the food was hands down amazing! However, the service was just okay. At our tasting, we met with Joe, who made us believe that everything was taken care of! He even showed us plates that we could use. Months later at our walk through 3 weeks before the wedding we were shocked to find out that Smokehouse doesn’t do plates or linens or anything like that, and they only have paper plates and plastic silverware. A horrible realization for a stressed out bride! Then, 20 minutes before the ceremony started I get a phone call saying there isn’t enough champagne for the toast and that we’re going to be out of alcohol within an hour! We had opted to hire their bartenders and provide the alcohol ourselves. Then, after my husband and I got to the reception, I was told that all the beer would be gone within 20 minutes(we had provided 3 kegs). So my maid of honors father left the wedding to bring more beer. Apparently, we were only going to be out of 1 type of beer because 2 of the kegs had beer left after the wedding. We also had over 15 bottles of champagne left over(so much for not having enough for the toast.). They also wouldn’t open the wine bottles on the table I used as table numbers because they said children were at tables so they wouldn’t be able to card them… But then they allowed people to take opened bottles of champagne to their table and keep it there! They also were responsible for taking out the trash at the end(we would get charged $ 50 per bag that wasn’t taken to the dumpster), but my mom got a call saying I would be charged $ 200 for the trash that was left! Thankfully the coordinator from the venue knew they said they would so the charge got billed to them and not me. I still gave them 3 stars because the food was delicious, and everyone loved it. All I can say, if you don’t want to be stressed on your wedding day, then don’t use them. I would use them for a backyard BBQ or for an event that is less formal.

Great food, very reasonable price. They even charge less for kids than adults. Cooked right on site so it was super fresh. Allowed us to wait until a week before to finalize our numbers. Delicious! We got lots of compliments on the food. We had a BBQ at the in-laws instead of a sit-down rehearsal dinner(glad we did — much less formal and a good way for people to mingle) and they catered that as well. Only complaint was that they forgot the coffee at the reception so the coordinator had to run out and buy some and they forgot the cake at the rehearsal dinner. didn’t charge us for either one, but was still a little annoying. Still — even with that, I would definitely use they again — like I said, delicious and reasonably priced.

This is review of their Catering division. The restaurant is closed, but they are still doing parties. Smoke House Grills catered a company party. They provided the following(with my comments). Red Onion Poppy Seed Salad(Strong but good) Mashed Potatoes Gravy(Good) Gulliver’s Sweet Corn(Tasted like sweet corn, who is Gulliver?) Sausage Stuffing(Good) Smoked Turkey(Very good) Honey Glazed Ham(Great) Tri-Tip(Was kinda Rare but good) Short Rib(Salty and undercooked I thought. Overheard other coworkers saying it was very good. Maybe I got a bad one) Better than anything cake(Very good) In summation a good choice for a corporate event.
