I had such a great experience here and my patio furniture is gorgeous! Johnny was absolutly delightful to work with. He was helpfull kind and not pushy at all. I would definitely come back here again. great prices excellent quality and the courteous staff. I had previously gone to great house and was treated poorly and thier prices were higher as well. Make sure you ask for Johnny he is super great and really knows how to match fabrics well.

My husband and I spent WEEKS picking out a sofa, and another two weeks pondering our purchase from Skylars before we jumped in and bought it. Our largest concern was that we have two dogs that are sofa friendly– they literally only lie on it with us and nothing else, but we needed a material that was durable, and could hide their hair. We thought we found that perfect solution, but we were terribly wrong. Now from all of the previous reviews I am sure that we had a fluke scenario however it up to this point has not been handled to par whatsoever. We LOVED our sectional at first, until about 3 months in it started pilling really bad (now I had to look up pilling because I have NEVER had it happen or seen it happen to furniture in my life– and I have never owned nice furniture) I called the store to ask what I am supposed to do and they told me to buy a pilling razor, so I did. Now ever sense I have had to shave my entire sofa, once a week, which takes THREE HOURS each time. Then, we started having some major material malfunctions. It was busting at the seams. I sent them out and about 2 weeks later got them back only to find that their solution to the holes and busting was to entirely ignore the pillows I sent in that were ABOUT to bust, the ones that already had holes, sew over 4 or 5 times so that you could feel how thick the new stitching was, and they did not even clean the cushions before sending them back to me– which I could care less but shows the poor care that was taken. So I complained a third time, and was told to bring all of my cushions with issues to San Diego. Well I work full time and that was a majority of my sectional which I had already been without for weeks once before, so when I finally did get down there, I came prepared with about 40 photos, I completely took apart my sofa and found that not only was the material not up to the durability standards I was told, but that half of the stitching was done CROOKED. SO I brought in all my photos, one pillow to show just how excessive the pilling is (it gets so bad by the end of the week that it feels scratchy, looks cheap, and looks WAY older than it is– which is still less than a year old!!), and one cover of a cushion to show the poor workmanship. They spent maybe 10 minutes talking to me and only told me to email them the photos to send to the manufacturer but then informed me that material is not covered in the warranty. A two year warranty but the material which is 90% of the sofa is not covered? So I also sent a LONG and DETAILED letter about my experience thus far and that we will only accept one of three options, for the sofa to be reupholstered in a different, and durable material like we were told this one was, an entirely replaced sofa with thus material, or a full refund. We figured we would give them one final opportunity to make it right. My response was that my dogs voided the warranty. The warranty that we were specifically told would not be voided by our dogs unless they chewed on it. And the warranty that apparently did not exist for material– the conflicting information is ridiculous. They offered to pick the entire thing up to inspect if to repair the areas that one should have already been repaired. The damage is not the issue, its what is CAUSING the damage, which is material that is not as durable as we need nor were told that it was, and shotty workmanship. They claimed they would drop off a loaner sofa, but I do not have time to be dealing with all that hassle for a maybe, and my experience so far with things being «fixed» have been poor and I simply cannot accept that. Somehow, between a 2 year manufacturer warranty, and a 5 year protection plan that we paid I believe 500 $ for, fixing this issue is not covered. We were told we were getting a durable material and that any issues with it would be covered and so far all we have gotten is crap and excuses. We are beyond livid. Skylars has pretty stuff and is probably meant for people that dont actually sit on their furniture and use it for show– and you know what, thats just FINE! But we did not pay this much money for this quality nor this much trouble. If I was expecting my sofa to only last a year I would have bought one used or from freaking Big Lots or something. But at this rate the entire thing is going to be dissolved to nothing before the useless 2 year warranty is even up and making the 500 $ protection plan we bought even more useless. Absolutely ridiculous. I hope an owner or someone of higher authority than their customer service reps in San Diego sees this and does whats RIGHT and fixes this situation or gives us the full refund we deserve.

After searching for a patio set for quite awhile my boyfriend and I found Skylars home and patio. We stopped by close to closing time SaturdayMemorial weekend. We needed a set by Monday. Johnny helped us and was amazing. Didn’t rush us and helped us pick the perfect set. He went above and beyond to make special arrangements to accommodate delivering and setting up our new set Monday morning. Great customer service and product!!!

After shopping around for weeks, I finally went to Skylar’s and purchased my outdoor couches and chaise lounge chairs. Almost 2 years later, all the furniture is still beautiful and in PERFECT condition! Their product is second to none! The outdoor furniture is a substantial investment and worth every penny! As we all know, you get what you pay for. Also, their customer service truly is FIRST CLASS. I will never shop anywhere else for outdoor furniture again.

We met Skylar on our first visit to the San Diego store and were impressed with his knowledge and the quality products he carries. He clearly loves what he does. Later we met with Virginia at the Carlsbad store who helped us sellect a sectional for our family room. Our experience was excellent. We have every confidence that we’ve found a dependable «go to» funiture resource. We love our new sectional and highly recommend that you give Skyler’s a try.

Very Friendly and Knowledgeable Staff in the Carlsbad Location. Correspondence was always fast and to the point. We love our Hannamint Patio Furniture. It was delivered earlier than expected !!

Skylar helped us personally. We chose a sectional sofa which we liked very much, however when it arrived there were some issues with it. Skylar made it right and now we have a great sectional which we all love.

Love my new couch; it looks great and is super comfortable! It came to them in just a few short weeks and Skylars got it to me quickly. The sales people are very knowledgeable, and the customer service was very quick at answering my questions. Love that their sectionals are customizable and you can get them how you want!

My husband and I were lucky enough to find Skylar’s through a referral from another store, and we are SO glad we did! They have unique, beautiful furniture and everyone who works there is awesome. We bought a house and did a full remodel so we were looking for furniture to complement the design. Our first purchase was a stunning teal couch that is the focal point of our family room. It was not an inexpensive couch but worth the money as we love it and all of our guests compliment it. After we got the couch, we were trying to decide what to hang on the wall above it. My husband remembered that in the store, they had a really cool, abstract painting above the couch. We went back, it was still there, and we got it. And then we ended up at Skylar’s again to get a super cool, unique coffee table made of reclaimed wood. Each time, they remembered us and were happy to see us again. They never pressured us to buy anything and even worked with us to give a little discount. I think the only reason we aren’t at Skylar’s even more often is that we know we will find something we love and spend money every time!

This was the first time going outside of Jeromes or Living Spaces for furniture. The new store showroom was immaculate. Made my wife want to buy and want everything! The customer service we got from Johnny made the trip all worth it. We ended up with a quality dresser at a solid price. The furniture brands and styles they carry is what makes Skylars different from the others.

Won’t buy a couch anywhere else after my recent sectional purchase. Carlsbad Store totally took care of me.

I love the new store! Regardless if I’m looking for a new sofa or unique interior design help Skylars is always my go-​to store. Nicole is so patient and knowledgeable. I’ll be back soon for some patio furniture.

We are very happy with our sofa purchase from skylars. The whole process was enjoyable, from choosing the sofa design in their beautiful showroom to the type of fabric that will go well with our living room, thanks to Nicole. The delivery was on time, professionally executed, slight glitch about payment arrangement which was quickly resolved. It was ready a week earlier than the expected time frame and when the cushions needed more stuffing, Nicole and the team helped to make sure they get the job done well and quickly.

Skylar’s Home & Patio Store in Kearny Mesa. I was waited on by Nicole, whose customer service was #1. She was helpful and knowledgeable about the furnishing at Skylar’s. It’s when I found the perfect dinning room table and chairs just what I was looking for. Skylar’s
has one of kind furnishing. Even though I took a while for it to be delivered, it was definitely
worth the wait!!! Their delivery men were courtesy and careful when delivering my treasures.
I will be back again for the living-​room set I saw. Please check it out, you won’t

I recently bought a bed from Skylar’s Home and Patio and must say, I am very pleased with the quality. I have a bad back and this new bed has made all the difference for me to be able to get a good night’s sleep. The process of picking out the bed was seamless and only took a few minutes. I asked the manager, Brent, which bed he thinks would suit my needs. He recommended a firm bed with good support. I trusted his recommendation and was not disappointed! At first I was worried the bed would be too hard, but he assured me that the support was very important for my bad back. He really knows his stuff and I’m glad I listened. I will definitely be purchasing all of my home and outdoor furniture needs from this store.

We stopped here on a whim when looking for new patio furniture. Ended up loving some of the furniture they had and placed an order. A few days later we changed our minds on our configuration, took off a few pieces added in some more. All was great except the table was not the dimensions I expected when delivered. Brent was able to make an exchange happen for the bigger table and it was delivered a few weeks later. Can’t say enough good things about this small business and their customer service! Thanks again, we will be back for interior furniture!

This place is excellent! We had been to 9 other furniture stores and didn’t buy a thing. We went to Skylar’s last. The place wasn’t very busy that day, so we ended up talking to Skylar for almost two hours. He helped us find the right couch, dining table, and chairs to suit our (picky) taste, and at a fantastic price. Super nice guy, very helpful. We’ll definitely go there first next time!
The furniture showed up and was just as fantastic as we remembered from the showroom. Skylar’s delivery service guys were also really nice, and they did a great job of installing everything.
