Excellent happy hour deals. Great beer selection. Good burgers. Sweet salad. Trendy décor. Ok service. Reasonable prices. Actually a pretty nice place to have a bite to eat. Would certainly recommend to anyone. Went here a second time for taco Tuesday. Excellent tacos for $ 2.50. Good service, relaxed atmosphere.

I’ve only been here once for a friend’s art show. I haven’t tried the food yet but I automatically got a good vib from the general atmosphere of this place. The service is good and friendly and got a deal on my beers when I checked out. This is because the bartender ask you to pick heads or tails when flipping a quarter and I guessed right. My discount was 90 percent off.(If I remember correctly, I’m writing this a week later) for 3 beers I only paid 3 dollars and left a 10 dollar tip.

Cool spot with modern feel. I went for dinner and ordered the Bali Burrito. Tastey option. Not a large amount of food but had great flavor. So many places to go down here. But I would come back.

This place was super close to our vacation house. Great place for lunch and it wasn’t too crowded. The staff is super friendly and the beer list is adequate. I had the Sriracha Fish Tacos and they were great! The fries are seasoned very well also. Patio is on the street, but the ocean is just a stones throw away. I would definitely come back, even for some beers!

No problem with the drinks and the appetizers were perfect. Onion Rings that crunched and you could bite into without pulling out the whole onion. Poppers were perfect.

If I could rate less than 1 star, I absolutely would!!! I am not one to write bad Unilocal reviews, but this was the worst experience I have had in a long time! Sunday night my boyfriend and I were out and about in mission beach area and decided to have a few drinks at single fin. It was about 9:00PM and a lot of other bars were closing down and it seemed to be pretty crowded still. When we walked in, the bartenders had on cute shark costumes and it seemed like a fun atmosphere. I went to the restroom while my boyfriend waited to order a drink at the bar. When I got out of the bathroom he was still waiting for the drinks. So, we waited a little longer and watched the bartenders take shots together at the end of the bar. Finally, one of the female bartenders came and took our drink order. She responded with«ok» and walked away. She wasn’t making our drinks, she was back at the end of the bar taking more shots!!! It was one of the other bartenders birthdays because they got the bar to sing to him, twice! After watching them all take multiple shots after the birthday song we thought the girl who initially took our drink order would now make them! My boyfriend then went to the restroom and I stood at the bar waiting to be acknowledged to reorder the drinks! Nothing!!! Not a single person behind the bar even acknowledged me at all! We thought maybe if the bartender saw my boyfriend again it would spark her memory and she would recall him ordering drinks 20 minutes ago, but no! We both stood at the bar for another couple of minutes before we finally decided we were done! We walked out of the bar after 25 – 30 minutes and absolutely no service! What a joke! I felt like I was on a staged episode of bar rescue! Allowing your bartenders to get hammered while working is poor practice. Even allowing them to drink at all is a bad idea! It creates no boundaries at all! If the bartenders know«it’s ok» for them to drink while working, then it becomes«ok» to be drunk while waiting on customers! We definitely will not be returning to this bar!

Oh my. Followed the advice of another Unilocaler and had the Sriracha(spicy) shrimp tacos. Two tacos was more than enough food. The sweet and spicy in this is amazing. I’ll be back next time I’m in San Diego.

We’ve been back a couple times. I can’t say enough about this place. It is a cool local bar with fresh food, house made dressings and everything is made to order. The servers are excellent, friendly, and know the menu. If you want to indulge, their fish and chips are really good.

Great little place tucked into the neighborhood of Mission Beach. There’s a great little patio sitting area if you want to enjoy the sun. Was in on Sunday with a couple friends and the bartenders(Alyssa and Veronica) were more than accommodating with changing the TV to the football game we wanted to watch. I had the sriracha shrimp tacos with corn tortilla, it was spicy, crispy, just the right amount of slaw. The tacos were pretty big, but it’s definitely a little pricey for $ 11. I’m always down to shell out a little cash for good food. When you get there, definitely don’t skip out of those tacos. Good beer selection and they have a full bar and happy hour special every day. When I was there(Sunday) they have tequila for $ 3, bottles of champagne for $ 24, and I don’t remember the rest(it was $ 3 tequila shots… what do you expect!!!). Come check them out and say hi to the hot ladies behind the bar!

I finally made it back to try the sriracha shrimp tacos. I got the flour over the corn tortilla. They were out of the lighter draft beers, so I washed the tacos down with a Costa Rican Imperial. The tacos came out in about 5 minutes. The 2 tacos were pretty large, but since I was hungry, I knew I would have no problem eating both. The tacos came with several good sized pieces of shrimp with a light, crispy batter intermingled with cabbage and tomato salsa with a drizzle of lime crema. They were very tasty and very messy. I added a bit of cholula to spice things up a little more. The only slight downgrade were the tortillas, which were not warmed and stuck to each other, as well as the thin wrapping inside the basket. Other than that, the shrimp tacos were solid.

Can you say cold beer!!! Everything on draft is ice cold and they washed down our Sriracha Shrimp Tacos nicely! Oh and don’t forget to order your ceviche! The wifey also ordered the South of the Border Salad and that thing was big enough for two!

Feeling generous so I’m giving this place 3 stars. Nevermind, 2. God only knows how it has 4.5. However it’s pretty clear that people in PB /MB do not have a palette. Lol. Seriously, I feel like my dog would be more selective with this food. To elaborate, I came with a group of 4. Two of us had tacos, one grilled, one battered and fried. The other two had burgers. The burgers were decent. Pretty good. I would give them a 3 stars. I’ve recently had some amazing burgers in SF and NY, so perhaps my judgment of burgers is currently more Harsh. On to the Tacos. Just lame. No flavor. Bland. Felt like I was eating cardboard. Same for both the grilled and fried fish tacos. These are a solid single star. Pretty sad for a place right on the water with access to some of the best fish in the country. Fish was bland, tortillas were bland, salsa was super bland. Even when we had the nachos and salsa, it was like chewing on paper.

Based on the number of stars this has on Unilocal,we expected it to be AMAZING. We were a little let down, I have to say. It’s a bar, it has some nice outdoor seating and we enjoyed the atmosphere around dinner time. Had a hard time getting to it because it’s impossible to park anywhere nearby, but the entire street is pretty much like that. I ordered one of the salads. It came pretty quickly and was good. It had some flavor I couldn’t quite place, but the chicken was cooked well and the lettuce and other veggies were all fresh. Pretty much average as far as salads go. The fries were… Interesting. We couldn’t place was the seasoning on it was so we asked, and apparently it’s a celery spice. Once I knew that, I could definitely taste it. Very weird, but alright.

Grilled Mahi Tacos with Mango Salsa. Delish! Everything about it was so good! Even the flour tortillas were perfectly thin and didn’t overpower the flavor of the mix inside.

Food: — Soy Chorizo Breakfast Tacos: 3 tacos stuffed with eggs, soy chorizo, potatoes, cheese, pico de gallo and chipotle creamy sauce. This was delicious and filling! 4⁄5 Service: Fast and friendly. This place has a very chill environment. Looking for parking sucks though. We circled the area 3 times before someone left so we can take their parking. 4⁄5 Final Thoughts: I would come back. There’s a lot on the menu that looks good.

The bar tender here gets five stars for making us fries last night at 11pm after the kitchen had already closed! Good place to get a drink if you want to avoid the crazy night life scene but still have a good time. Great dive-y place that has a local feel. The crowd is relaxed, maybe a little older than the college kid crowd. There is a good size patio area as well.

Truth be told, I never really have had much reason or desire to make my way into Mission Bay or Pacific Beach, but now with Single Fin I most certainly do! This past Saturday was my second trip into the quiet little surf shack serving up some crafty cocktails over crushed ice. You see, it’s the ice that really makes the drinks, a nice touch that I appreciate along with the heavy pours — no measuring in jiggers here! I also had a chance to dig into the Single Fin Burger, which set the perfect base coat since we ended up chillin’ for many, many hours, with many, many cocktails. It sat high in stature and had all the fixin’s including a couple of onion rings giving it a great crunchy element. The juices ran down my hands with every bite and the fries served with ranch dressing were the perfect compliment… I’d easily order this again. Probably the most charming element of Single Fin is the people behind the bar. It’s not often that you find the owner(s) serving the drinks rather than sitting in back counting their money at SD bars. At SF all ego is dropped and they realize that they(the owners Dom and Gio) should be and want to be the ones connecting with the customers. They don’t advertise it, but if you ask a few questions they’ll let their ownership status reluctantly leak out. Cool dudes doing great things for the neighborhood! Take note, San Diego, these guys are doing it right!
