First of all, I’d like to say I absolutely love this location. The doctors, the customer service, the selection of glasses, and (most) of the staff are awesome. I’ve been seen by Dr. Wan and Dr. Mashouf– both are very nice, personable and honest doctors who give good input while taking into account things I needed. They also have a large variety of samples for me to try out before I decide on which product I want to buy (ie. eye lubricants, solution, contacts). Most of the staff is fantastic. They’re very professional and personable. This location doesn’t have a huge variety of frames but the ones they do have, are very cute! They have a lot of high end brand names so the frames are more pricey, but I love the way they look. They also have a small selection of sunglasses as well. And parking is very easy here.

Dr. Tan is such a wonderful optometrist! She’s very patient and addresses your concerns clearly. She doesn’t wait till you bring up a question or a concern; she is constantly asking if you are okay, or do you have any questions. This is my second time visiting for a follow-​up and I’ve had the best experience so far. This is now my go to optometrist place for my eye exams!

I love this place! Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Dr. Bersamina is one of the best eye doctors I have ever seen. Dr. B was very thorough with her exam and too the time to explain everything about the health of my eyeballs and answered all my questions. She is a delightful person as well!
The boutique section has a great selection of frames to chose from so that I was even able to purchase two different styles that I wanted! So happy!

They are amazing ay all.
When u check in, first you need to fill up an application, then they check your eyes with some professional tools and after that the doctor tells you all the details of your issue with different pictures from different part of your eyes.
They cover most of insurance.

This place was awesome. Service was efficient and exactly what I needed. All of the staff members were inviting, competent, and extremely friendly. Dr. Wan was also very knowledgeable as well and took the time to explain things to me and answer all of my questions. Highly recommend.

We started getting our eye exams here because they take our insurance. It turned out to be a great match for our family. The doctors are very knowledgeable and we get a complete and thorough exam. I wear contacts and have been happy with the fitting and the price on my lenses. They also have a large selection of glass frames for all ages. The young lady that always helps with our glasses does a great job fitting them and helping us choose a style that looks nice on us.

I like this place cause because it close to my house. A little pricy for eye exam but it’s OK. They have very good all different brand here for you to pick and choose. And they also have in house lens cutting which is help if you need it soon.

I first heard about this place through my boyfriend since he goes here for his eye exams and glasses. He always gets the best service so I decided to try this place out for myself.
Anyway, my sunglasses broke due to a missing screw so I came here to get it fixed and they fixed it at no charge. They were incredibly nice about everything! Thank you.

I’ve been a patient here for 13 years and it has been great. They have great eyeglass and sunglass options, quick service and great customer service. I recommend all my friends and family here :)

Scripps Poway Eyecare and Optometry is by far the most advanced eye clinic I have visited in my young 48 years.
Not only do they test with traditional optometry equipment but have a Fundus Photo (fundography) machine that allows you to see the interior surface of the eye, including the retina, optic disc, macula and posterior pole.
After my exam it was determined that my eyes were very healthy and that only one eye needed a small correction.
The check in process thru exit procedures was smooth and painless.
I would highly recommend Dr. Mel Bersamina (ex Navy), she made me feel comfortable and informed with the entire exam.

Scripps poway eye care rocks! Excellent customer service and I never felt pressured to buy expensive glasses. No pressure. The doctors and staff are very friendly! I highly recommend Scripps Poway eye care to everyone!

I went in to see Dr. Wan for any eye exam (expecting that I had issues) and he was very informative and straightforward diagnosing my eyes.
To correct my issues his team helped find me a beautiful pair of glasses that have changed how I see things. Further, the price was reasonable. I will continue to see Dr. Wan and his team for all of my optic needs.

It’s been half a decade since I reviewed Scripps Poway Eyecare, so I figured I owed the team an updated review. In short, nothing has changed — they are still fantastic, with Michael always being friendly and on-​top of the glasses and front-​counter side of things, and Dr. Wan continually fantastic at staying on top of the latest advances in tools and contacts.
Every year I when I go for my yearly eye exam, I look forward to seeing what the new machines are that are in the office, and having Dr. Wan explain how they work, and what new information they yield over what they’ve replaced. I also very much appreciate that Dr. Wan takes the time to discuss and review what’s new in contact and general eye-​care technology — not just glossing over what my prescription is, but actually sharing information about new contact materials, their material properties, and what went into enabling the change. So yes, I’m a nerd, and I appreciate that Dr. Wan is similarly nerdy about his profession. :-)
I look forward to getting my eye exam every year, and dealing with the folks at Scripps Poway Eyecare. Truly, it is something that most people dread, but I find to be an engaging and enjoyable experience. I wish all health related visits were like this!

Called at noon today to confirm store hours. Was informed they closed at 2 pm. We arrived at 1:55 and the store was locked up tight. Poor customer service guys.

time for my annual check up! This time I saw Dr. Tan.
I like her a lot. She’s direct and doesn’t try make you do things you don’t want to. She’s very nice and patient as well.
The staffs are friendly and very helpful.

I lost my glasses and needed somewhere to go that provides decent care and a good selection of glasses to choose from.
My eye assessment took roughly 20 – 30 minutes as I do not need a strong prescription, the optometrist was very nice and courteous to me.
The Staff: The staff is really great here. They have a sense of humor and they try to engage everyone who walks in. While professionalism may be crossed at times, I do not mind the good laugh.
The Selection: They had everything from Gucci to Hello Kitty eye wear. I had no issues finding the right pair for myself. Even after finding the right pair, they made sure I’d be able to maximize on my insurance coverage to get the very best lenses possible.
While I was quoted my glasses would take 2 weeks, I still received them in less than 7 days. They were very quick to push the order and made sure I’d be happy once I received them.
I wish more businesses were like this. Great costumer service and good looking female optometrists to boot.

Me and my dad has been going to this location for about 6 years now and until now their service is still consistent and impeccable. From the start I always feel welcome when I come in the door. The store is organized and soooo many great choices. Their choices are always in style and very great quality. They have brands from bebe to Kate spade to Ray bans to Gucci!
Now, Dr. Wan. He is so energetic just like the rest of the staff. He answers questions in great details and very easy to talk to. He tries to change things up with checking the eyes.
This place is just incredible and I’m forever a customer.

They got state of the art machines for measuring your eyes, friendly staff, excellent doctors, and a wide selection of glasses/​sun glasses. They didn’t have a pair of maui Jim that I was looking to try, and they gladly ordered it for me to try out.
My prescription was pretty stable after 2 years of going here and they referred me to get Lasik. Best investment ever and now I’m ²⁰⁄₂₀ and can wear any pair of sunglasses.
I highly recommend looking into Maui Jim glass lenses if you’re looking for a nice pair of polarized sunglasses.
