I walked in here on a whim with no appointment and was initially just impressed with the relaxing atmosphere. Everyone is just relaxing like they’re at home, sipping on a beverage of their choice that is offered. Also I see that everyone leaving looks like a hair magazine model so I feel confident that «good hair happens here.» My feelings were confirmed when I left within an hour with the layered haircut of my dreams. Hilda cut my hair and she was very personable and sweet. I showed her a photo of a haircut that I loved from years ago and it was all she needed to give me exactly what I was hoping for. So glad I took a chance on this place.

Kathy Hill is one of the best stylists I have been to in years. The salon as a whole is very pleasant and inviting. The staff bends over backwards to make your experience the best ever!

The salon is nice. They have friendly staff and always bring me a cold drink! The real reason I go here (and drive all the way from South Bay!) is because of Camille. She is the best! She always does a great job and she’s a one-​stop shop! She does my highlights, cuts, and waxing. She also does false eyelashes and cool makeup stuff. She also cuts my husband’s hair. I’ve been her client for 5+ years and have never thought of letting anyone else touch my hair. She did the hair for my wedding, which was fabulous! If you’re looking for a new stylist, definitely go to Camille. You won’t be disappointed. She’s the type of stylist that will do exactly what you want or will even experiment with cool stuff if you ask her to! (Yay pink highlights!)

Thank you fellow Unilocalers for leading a girl to best friend… her hairstylist! That’s right… I’ve found THE one but I don’t mind sharing him so here goes…
I came in just as the Salon opened and asked for Sam. He’s the one all the chicas are writing about on Unilocal and now I know why. He was able to give me a consult and was very professional and let me know that he was booked until 5pm but wanted to hear what I had in mind.
I wanted a cut but wanted to know more about coloring options too and he gave me a consult and rates too. His rates were very competitive and he took time to explain to me different coloring techniques available, which I didn’t know and appreciated the information.
I came back at 4:30 because it texted me to let me know he’ll be done a bit early with his client. Score!
We sat down in the chair to go over my wants: layered cut, volume, wash-​n-​go and of course… I want it to make me look like a million bucks. No biggie…
But first… shampoo time! Love the head massage. I could fall asleep… but I didn’t.
Sam let me know that I should do away with the unhealthy ends and that he’s going to give me long layers that will give me more volume, movement and frame out my face better. And I said, «Yes please!»
He did not disappoint and even went on to show me how to curl my hair. I don’t know how and my attempts have been more along the lines of… ‘hot mess’ than ‘hot damn’! So what did I learn? What Shine Serum is. what sectioning my hair into pie sections mean… that I should alternate curling directions to give it more movement and I don’t need a bottle of hairspray to hold the curls! Sam was a great teacher and I really appreciated his time and care.
I am impressed by Sam’s passion to his craft and excellent customer service. I am already thinking about coming back for more!

They other reviewers all have it wrong. KAYLA is the one who rocks it! :-) Actually, they all do but Kayla is so good.
Always gets my hair done right for years. Does my roomie’s hair too. We love her.
Love the color magic she works on my hair. And she always goes above and beyond to squeeze me in to get my hair done before a job interview.

Valerie at Scripps Hair and Skin Gallery is a fantastic stylist. I first started coming to Val about 9 years ago on the referral of a friend. I love, love, love how she does my hair every time! She is very knowledgeable when it comes to color and just how much her clients need. She is always running on time and very personable and friendly. She makes every attempt to squeeze me in if I need something done on short notice, and she is very flexible when I have needed to change my appointment. I find her prices very reasonable and she is not pushy with the products. If you want them, she’ll offer them to you, but she doesn’t push them on you. The salon itself is nicely decorated, the receptionist and the other stylist are very friendly to all the customers. They do their very best to make me feel comfortable every time I go in.

All I can say is Hilda is a start! She helps me to look and feel great! If you want a great cut or color this is your go to girl! The salon is always busy (good sign) the reception staff is amazing and always helps me to feel welcomed and happy to have me there! I give this place a thumbs up!

Valerie does an amazing job each and every time. She really knows her stuff and is very informed about hair. She knows what will look good on someone and she won’t give you a cut or color that does not flatter you. The salon is high-​end without being pretentious and is very conveniently located right off the 15. The entire staff is very attentive and they want to make sure you are comfortable. Competitive prices and a nice selection of product to choose from, too!

I have been coming here for color and cut for 11 years. Hilda Mitchell is amazing stylist and colorist, you cannot go wrong. Her sense of humor is great at helping me cover my grey roots in addition to the color job.
